I had this problem too when I started running. I take deep breaths and breathe through my nose. Slowing down works too. :-)

Just wanted everyone to know that I only got about two hours of sleep but I was so pumped up by the crowd that it didn't matter! I ran the entire race, even the incline out of the tunnel. It was awesome! :)

Losing one pound a week is awesome! I definitely lose more when I eat my exercise calories back and net at least "1200" a day. Your muscles need to be fed! Sounds like you're on the right track! Good luck!

I'm running my second 5k on Sunday. Hydrate really well tonight and in the morning. Eat something light, like a banana before the race. You don't want to be full before the race. Stretch really well before you run. I was nervous at first too but once I saw the crowd of runners, I became excited. Have fun! :)

I didn't use the C25k program. I just started with intervals of running one minute and walking two minutes. I can now run a 5k (on my treadmill) without stopping. I use the NIke+ Gps app and love it. I also make sure that I have a lot of good music on my ipod. I didn't like running at first, but now I love it. You can do…

I feel that way the day after I eat a lot of "wheat" stuff. Drinking a lot of water should also help flush your system.

Go to the gym! I don't have the energy to watch everyone else when I am working out and if I did, it's because I am inspired by them. :) Everyone has to start somewhere. :) If you really don't want to go, walk everyday. You can build up to jogging. :)

I run on my treadmill when its hot and humid outside. I started with running for 1 minute and walking for two. I can now run a little over three miles without stopping. I am much slower outside. Everyone has to begin somewhere. Good luck. :)
