200-250 above maintenance is a reasonable start to discover your weight gain. If you eant to start at 100cal surplus, you could obviously. I'm in the camp Strong Curves isn't a choice I would recommend as there are better options out there. M.Mathews I'm not familiar with so undecided. If you responded well to either…

It will depend on a few things. One being your programming and how sensitive you respond to it specifically. If you eating in a deficit, I wouldn't expect a significant amount of hypertrophy to take place. More of a retention of the muscle you do have. Which may or may not lead to a more "toned" look. Two being what you…

How are often are you resistance training?

To be blunt, your dad is fibbing. Deadlifts don't blowout knees, backs, or ankles. Evidence shows that deadlifts are not inherently dangerous more than any other lift and those who state so, simply are misinformed. Also "good form" is not reality. It can't be defined universally so it doesn't exist. I have lifters who…

Actually evidence is suggesting RICE doesn't really have good evidence of benefit and may instill some narratives that are harmful. Unfortunately many people in the spectrum of rehab are regurgitating old protocols from text books that are outdated. Especially the idea to "rest". This can actually be harmful compared to…

Are you saying you attempted to train and found no lifts or variations tolerable? Practice self efficacy what the medical team advices you. Find what yoy can do with the goal to return to normal. Plenty of established evidence to train than not. Also shows injuries not only heal faster but lowers the risk of injury…

Nope. She is capable of healing from a sprain. She wants to practice some efficacy, which is totally reasonable and what doctors prefer in most cases. If she had trauma, stability issues, or things worsen, then we prefer medical attention. I'm not confident from what he/she said that it's anything but a load management…

7500 calories for one day is really nothing to be concerned about long term. That might just be just over a pound of gain if you were at maintenance calories at the other six days for the week. If you were in a deficit the other six days. You literally evened out. So if a binge isn't something that happens enough that you…

Sorry you felt hurt by the comments. Maybe talk to them and just mention that it hurt. If you should cut or continue bulking I would generally look at your composition. If you happen to be carrying a tad more body fat, you find it useful to lower your bf or composition. I can really be any use help deyermining that not…

Not possible to give you a specific program without specific information. What equipment do you have available? How many days/time do you have to lift if that is what you mean by exercise? What is your specific goal?
-
I'm glad you enjoy it. I wouldn't hazard you need a break rather look into your programming and load management. It sounds as if you accumulate too much stress within your programming. Can I ask what program you run? Also you can post a video of you squatting both body weight & loaded in my "form check" thread and from…

Every single person has imbalances and is a buzz word that is really just silly. Especially with social media orally of professionals who literally make up a "problem" so they can sell you their"fix". It is seen way to often and keepin mind 99% of every person I trained can hit depth on first day without any issues. We…

Current evidence shows we reduce injury risk by utilizing proper load management. So we account for everything in life not just the gym. I would suggest using intensities that are reasonable to your current adaptations and sufficient volume while building up a work compacity. So regardless what you were capable a year ago,…

Hard to say without knowing your training history and personal info. I'd probably not do all the cardio and just focus on well written training with a well balanced diet. If your body is adapted to that amount of cardio, cool. If not, your not utilizing proper load management and increasing the risk of injury. If that…

👍 I carry some muscle mass so pictures can be deceiving. Again I'm not trying to improve my Aesthetics specifically, only goaling a smaller waist line and lower risk. I might add I've survived late stage cancer, progressive autoimmune disease, and kidney failure at or very near my current waist circumference.

Probably something you should direct towards your medical team since they have all your information on your condition. This is highly individualized. I was able to cycle and walk when I had a stress fracture.

Yes, body fat my percentage has gone up quite a bit since my 40s for the reasons I stated. I have a grandpa-bod compared to my body of the last decade. You might find reading the links I posted useful. They are considered current evidence and they go into great detail and length to show BMI is only a screening tool and not…

My goals isn't Aesthetics, it just happens to be a byproduct of my strength training so I literally never take pictures of me flexing or the like. Muscles are there, but what weight I move concerns me. I'm 51 in this pic with my covid hair 😅😅😅 I'm at least 240lbs here probably close to 250lbs but I rarely weigh myself so…

I've taken my pitty for runs, hikes, cycle rides, swims, skateboard, etc...she is 8.5 years old and almost everybody mistakes her for a tenn puppy because she is in great shape. Generally perfect for a active lifestyle. Also I've yet to meet one that isn't a cuddler if you allow it.

I'm going with @Chieflrg. He isn't afraid to.laugh at himself and he has a way with words.

I rescued a pitty 7 years ago. By far the smartest, loving, and gentle dog I've had. Mine is extremely good with all people/kids. Generally Pittys are very family orientated and loyal dogs and will snuggle or attempt to be a lapdog if you allow it. I suggest you go with whatever fits your lifestyle. If you're active find a…

Exercising proper load management is one of the single most important things you can do. It doses the correct amount of useful stress. It allows for better recovery. It lowers injury risk.
