  • I have had so many starts and stops. After a few weeks break, and renewed focus with an upcoming 5k, I am trying to get in track. My 5k is perfectly timed for me to complete the whole cycle. Did w2d1 this morning, and plan to do a MWSa schedule to prep for my 5k. It has been 3 weeks since my last run and it was tough!…
  • The cruciferous veggies are culprits when raw. I am the aforementioned friend. :) I also find when my TSH levels are the slightest bit out of whack, everything is off. Weight loss plateaus, cravings, tiredness and no periods. I am 4 years in now and still not quite right all of the time. I also find intensity is really…
  • I have type o blood and I have hips and big thighs. I think your pattern is off. I also accumulate at the waist, but I have quite a bit of leeway before I start looking less "curvy."
  • I'd try to add in activity during the day. Can you walk to errands? Do some squats, planks, lunges, push-ups when you wake up? Also look for at home circuit training b
  • I'm still confused. Somewhere between a pear, hourglass or cello depending on the day. The special workout I do? Circuit training. Because I like to be efficient. And no crunches because by most measures they are pretty useless. I used to look more pear till I decided to do more upper body weights. Now I am closer to being…
  • Also, try Torrid. They go from 12-20 something so you will fit right in, I also find their average is pretty short. Like 29.5 or 30. ( indeed 32) and many styles come in petite. They do have sales and good clearance. I really like the jeggings right now, I just wish they were longer. They hit me just above the ankle and…
  • If they are really cheap and only a bit too small. I did win a lingerie set once in a drawing and I got it in what my goal size is. I am still working my way there buy based in my progress so far, I really underestimated what would happen with my bust. I assumed I'd lose in the band and cup fairly evenly. Reality is I am…
  • Hopefully my city can be more dutch like soon, and more people will bike to the basics. We still have a lot "main streets" dispersed in most residential areas, so it is definitely possible. As pond as you don't live somewhere too hilly! No plans to get any cyclist clothing for me! My commute is about 35 miles, so too far…
  • 5'4.5 here, my goal is about 165. And goal body fat percentage is around 24% or so. Not super scale focused though so if I get to my goal appearance at a higher weight, it won't be an issue, under 140 isn't even on the radar. Although I am pretty small framed (very small ankles, wrists), I also have a good amount of muscle…
  • W2D2 down! I started my run just before 7. It was the perfect weather: 68 or so and breezy. Today's runs felt hard! Not sure if it was because I was under hydrated, under rested or didn't workout last week.
  • I hate treadmills. I am outside and dealing with the hills in my neighborhood. Looking for the flatter streets, and saving the bigger hills for warmup and cool down walks. :)
  • She does look balanced here. Other pics I have seen have her looking less hourglass! But you never know. :)
  • You are a pear. Wide hips/narrow shoulders = typical pear.
  • I took a mini break last week. Today I did W2D1: these felt hard. It did not help matters it was hot outside. But I managed. And I found a flatter route nearby. So off to day 2 on Wednesday.
  • I eat mostly organic and local because it is tastier, preserves farm land in my region and because I want to limit my exposure to the chemicals that have unknown results. But I know nothing about the liver problems you are experiencing. I eat organic for mostly philosophical reasons.
  • You don't have to be busty too look like an hourglass. Your top half has to match your bottom half. A pear has shoulders that are much narrower than their hips (and typically smaller bust) and generally smaller rib cage. But there are also people with narrow rib cages/shoulders and a large bust, and their measurements will…
  • If you are a true 42 band, Panache or Freya won't fit the bill. There are some decent options in Lane Bryant though.
  • I am so behind! After my heel pain last week, and then this week it has been lingering, and I haven't done any C25k due to heel pain and a ridiculously busy schedule. Hopefully back on track this weekend.
  • We have a winner! If you want to wear shorts. Wear shorts. Personally I don't like the "booty short" trend at the moment. I don't think it is practical. But whatever floats your boat. Keep all the important stuff covered, and it is OK to wear shorts no matter what you look like (as long as the occasion is appropriate).…
  • My Underbust has dropped about 4 inches so far. My Underbust measured 37 and I was wearing 38f/36g bras. Now I am 33 and wearing 34h/32hh bras. I haven't lost volume at all.
  • I feel that way if I don't have enough food. Or electrolytes. I am hypo too. I try to have some sugar before a workout. Like a handful of raisins or a banana or something.
  • Great job! I am on the 4 year path too. LOL. :D
  • We are all built differently with different body types and muscle/fat ratios. It is not impossible at all. For me, 180 = size 12. Size 14 = about 200. Now I am at 213 and this is 14/16 depending on what it is. Generally 14 for dresses and skirts (and some tops) and 16 for pants. I am 5'4.5 and somewhere between a busty…
  • I seem to find UK sizes are cut a little different too. I wear about 1 size smaller than expected from Dorothy Perkins/ASOS. :) (I am American). ASOS UK18 is more like a US16 than a US14. But there is a larger waist/hip gap than typical American brands.
  • Looks like I am on the sideline for a bit. My heel is killing me! I have no idea why. So rest it is, and W1D3 is postponed.
  • 3 months: onderland, running 5k on a regular basis, deadlifting 100# 1 year: at goal, doing chinups, deadlifting my body weight
  • This is on my list as well. Although someone else has a more aggressive target. For women, the waist circumference should be 50% of height or less than 35 in, whatever is lower.
  • Count me on team overweight. My goal is pretty much in the middle of overweight for BMI. I think I was last there around age 12 or so. My goal is around 10-15 pounds less than my high school weight. But now, I have more muscle mass than I did then. I have done the calculators for lean body mass. I have done all of them,…
  • LOL! I cheated a few weeks ago. I was doing a trial at a different gym, and they had a track. I worked out some and then had a burst of energy. So I decided to run a few laps. A few turned into quite a lot. And I was alternating with run 1, walk 2. (It was a small track, not full sized). I kept this up for 20 minutes or…
  • W1d2 down. I did find a slightly better route. :). The up hills were hard, I was going very slowly. I kept a decent pace on the flats. Happily I found a nearby street with a very slight inline. I might use this one for the next few weeks. Run up and walk down. I think it is just about the perfect length for a 60 sec jog.…
