If you can afford it, go for tuna packed in olive oil. I find that I need to add a bunch of stuff to water packed tuna to make it taste better, but olive oil packed tuna usually just needs some salt and pepper.

Weigh all your food and log each part of it instead of using quick add calories. Estimation will get you nowhere as many people tend to overestimate. You're probably eating more than you think.

Tazo Rest is my favorite tea. I also like breakfast teas, green tea, Chai tea, and fruit/herbal teas. I often use chilled fruit tea as a base liquid for fruit smoothies if I'm not using milk or plain water. I've recently taken a liking to unsweetened teas. I don't drink tea for weight loss or any specific benefits; I just…

I snack on cheese, mixed nuts, or seeds almost every day without fail.

This scam medication that's supposed to "simulate" the effects of surgery will, at best, make you drop weight TOO FAST and you'll suffer from deficiencies and loose skin. Also, I'm sorry but 90 lbs is not anywhere near enough extra weight to be considering something as dumb as this. Plenty of people here have lost 100+ lbs…

If I want to change my sleeping schedule, I change the time I wake up and I don't deviate from the new time no matter what. After about a week or so, the time I go to sleep will align itself with the new wake up. Eating shortly after waking up at the new time will help, too, since it'll get your body used to orienting…

Salmon for dinner, yogurt and fruit for dessert.

Put together something that you can keep in the fridge or pantry until the next morning. The overnight oatmeal someone mentioned is a good idea; I hear that rolled oats are the best for that, but in my experience the instant kind works also. Maybe wrap up an ounce of cheese, a piece of fruit, and some jerky or a handful of…

Not much. It's a pretty normal part of who I am, but I guess if you mean being a part of the movement for better representation/more rights/etc., then it can be frustrating sometimes because different people want different things and one of us can't speak for all of us collectively. Pansexual Acceptance, of course.

This. I plan my intake one day in advance, so I try to shift as much of my planned calories towards reaching my protein and fat goals as I can (I also like to focus a bit on fiber). Once I get there, I use any calories leftover for whatever I want.

The kind of bread we use in my house is too long to fit in the toaster, so we cut it a little short anyway. If I have the extra calories, I'll log the extra weight. If I want to be precise, I cut to make the bread the right weight.

Why would you want to roast an adorable, innocent Peep? I'm planning on waiting for the day after Easter to grab up all of that sweet, sweet discount candy. I'll probably be able to make it stretch for a few days or so afterward, since I'm not going to be eating more than one or two servings at a time (if I can help…

Triple this. Something that really makes me smile here is that even people who don't agree with choosing to remain fat or being okay with fat still put their foot down and insist that fat folks deserve respect. That is, essentially, what is at the core of fat acceptance. Seeing MFP members consistently stand up against…

Definitely do this first. Make sure you're eating enough in general, too. Healthy fats will do you a world of good. Things you can do to care for your hair/nails/skin from the outside: - Switch from regular shampoo to something without sulfates and use it sparingly. Do the same with body wash/hand soap/etc. Sulfates strip…

I have a huge jar of pickle halves and packs of sugar free gum for the unfortunate (but rare) event that I'm out of calories too early in the day and get hungry at night.

Pre-planning can help you here. On Friday night, think about the things you want to eat over the weekend and start building the meals right then and there. If you're going out with friends, try to make a concrete decision on a restaurant beforehand and skim their nutrition facts online so you can choose something that will…

If I choose to see anything as a reward, it'll probably be the new clothes I'll need to buy as my shape changes. Although they're essentially a necessity, I love clothes shopping and will definitely feel that it's a treat for me. I'm also kind of hoping that the exercise I do will help my chronic ankle instability, so…

This is really important to remember. People who can put away a lot of food and don't gain are usually either A) very active in ways we don't see or B) actually eating far less than we think they are. There are also some people who wear the fat they gain in their bodies a different way (aka "skinny fat" folks) so that it…

Instead of looking up an entire recipe, I just Google "best way to cook ____" and it usually lists some websites with various techniques for preparing a certain food item, like chicken. You can apply those techniques to whatever amount of the food that you want. You can also look for mug recipes. They're super fun. You can…
