Can we clarify: Are you deliberately following a low-carb regime (for whatever reason)?

One of my husbands favourites is fragrant pork and aubergine. Slice one aubergine into half-rounds, and fry them in a wok in a table spoon of oil and a splash of water until soft. Remove and leave to drain on a paper towel. In the wok, fry some low-fat minced pork. Add back in the aubergines, and some chopped pak choi.…

Do come and join us in the special group we have! http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/100058-5-2-fasting Lots of people with various experiences. Like any approach, it suits some people more than others, but it's a good one to have a try of (doesn't cost you anything, no special foods required)

A handful of nuts and a hardboiled egg? Some cheese?
-
Sounds good, I have some leftover sprouts to use up!

You're already at a healthy bmi, so any further loss is going to be REALLLY slow. Thing long term on the loss, but doing some weight training is a great idea!

Ruby, 2 of my Scottish teachers are in their 80s and still going strong!

Monday done - made a really tasty swordfish with tom-yum slim-noodles for dinner. I had a great nights sleep, and am in good form to push on with this back-to-back. I will have a lunch and dinner, though, as I have a dance class tonight. Lunch is a packet chilli, as our office fridge isn't working at the minute. Dinner…

What steps are you currently using? (There's more than one way to do it) I've clicked Food- Diary and then searched for what I wanted to add (miso soup). From the options returned by the search I clicked on the brand I wanted, and pressed add to diary where it gave me the serving size options.
-
I usually have a 100 cal lunch - a hard boiled egg and a mug of miso soup, or else a big bowl of green salad.

7 weeks or 7 days? 80 pounds to lose, or is that your goal weight? Any dietary requirements?
-
I'm having a prawn stir-fry tonight, with finely sliced peppers and mushrooms. Udon noodles for my husband, rice ones for me.
-
Flumi, your stats are pretty similar to mine! I'm aiming for 60kg too, and am also planning a B2B for Mon- Tuesday. Monday's meal with be a swordfish steak, with zero noodles and mushrooms. Tuesday I have a sachet of "look what we found" chilli con carne - will have with cauliflower mash. Exercise will be: Mon gym at…

It's not helpful to divide foods into good and bad, healthy or unhealthy. It all comes down to quantities, or portion control.

My dancing - did a lot of ballet as a girl, and toyed with the idea of doing it seriously....but my studies came first. So it fell by the wayside when I was at University. I then took up bits and pieces of different styles at evening classes - salsa was fun but you need a partner, line dancing is a laugh but a bit…

What is ground round? Is it a kind of meat? Can you search the database for steak or similar?
-
Nothing. I never click it. Ok actual answer - it sends a message to your friends that you were under your calorie goal that day.
-
Flossyruby, tell me about your dancing?
-
Oooh, seeing the Northern Lights is on my bucket list! I've been to Iceland before, but during May. Highlights of 2015 - I did quite a bit of travelling, including being in Vienna during Eurovision, visiting Rome during a Med cruise, and seeing my daughter perform in London and Manchester. My exercise was focussed largely…

Running and dancing. Hillwalking when the time and weather allow. Ditto cycling.
-
Bit uncalled for, DYELB. Yes, it'll depend how far you went - can you use google maps to estimate? Or do you know roughly how fast you were going? 4mph is pretty darn fast, but a reasonable guess is you were doing 2 - 3 miles an hour, allowing for stops.
-
I haven't been able to stick with it during December, but I'm ready to get going again next week!
-
I was doing running training last night, and got chatting to a guy who'd lost 5 stone ( a stone is 14 pounds) in the past year. Just from 5:2ing and taking up running.

I've taken it a couple of times, and usually come out as INTJ. The TJ bit is VERY strong, I like facts and figures, logic is the all-persuasive argument. My husband is a P, and even just recognising this makes it easier to discuss things together. When it comes to exercise, in the past I've found interacting with people…

What are you eating during the rest of the day that leaves you with so little? Fish and veg - a steamed piece of white fish with some broccoli, asparagus, or green beans. Omelette - an egg is about 70 cals, so even 2 eggs with a load of veg (tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach) should be under 200

My experience of Les Mills classes has been extremely positive. I loved Body Pump especially, and the version offered by my new gym isn't anywhere nearly as good. Attack I found too "bouncy", but I enjoyed Combat, and also the yoga-inspired Body Flow when available.
-
I don't understand teh question. Where are you finding problems?
-
I take it today is not a typical day! What was your exercise?
-
Your diary isn't set to "public". The old saying about breakfast being the biggest meal of the day has no scientific basis - spread your calories whatever way you like throughout the day. Greek yoghurt?
-
That does seem plenty to play with, I'd keep an eye on the carby element of your meals. You've got a 300 breakfast, and lets give you 300 for snacks. That leaves 1000 for lunch and dinner. Lunch - soup or salad based. Easy on any bread or croutons, and use salsa or cottage cheese instead of a salad dressing. Add tuna or…
