Meat Dairy Cheese Greek Yogurt Cottage Cheese Eggs Tofu Tempeh Seitan Bacon because it needs its own category Basically any protein rich food. There are tons of meat, dairy, and plant based proteins and the worlds your oyster.. which is also a protein source. Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with shakes…

This is actually not entirely true. There is very little difference betwen the nutritional makeup of white and brown rice. Brown rice has a slight bit more fat, more fiber and about 1 more gram of protein per serving, and a slight bit more micronutrients.... but by and large, they are the same. This is from Lundberg with…

I eat french fries every day... .no joke. I personally find starchy carbs satisfying, meet my protein and fat macros, and enjoy the carbs to fill the rest of my calorie goal. Also, have you checked out the group sections? You'll probably find some like minded people there as well. Here's a link to the most active plant…

Have you tried any of the groups? I find this one to be one of the more active plant based groups: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/45-happy-herbivores You might find more like minded people in there. I used to live just south of Portland. Moved away in 2008 because I couldn't stand the rain any longer, but I…

The website simply says it's tofu, which is what it looks like to me. Apparently the company is all about being "Green" and prefers to use non-throw away containers. All tofu, once opened, needs to be refrigerated, since it's a fermented product, it usually means there are some live cultures there, which, once opened, can…

In my experience, any recipe will do, but it's all about how long you soak it. Longer soaks will provide a "fuller" flavor.

My personal favorites: Orgain (any flavor but has a larger serving size than others) Nitrofusion (a division of Plantfusion) Chocolate raspberry or Cookies and cream It's really just a matter of trying lots and finding your brand.

Yup... this is what I do too.

Do you weigh all of your solid foods on a food scale? Taking a look at your list of foods, I could easily see going over in calories if I were using package serving sizes and measuring cups to estimate serving sizes. OP, i got fat on a vegan diet... I've also gotten fit on one. For me, it all comes down to accurate…

No need to feel sorry for anything. I wasn't being critical, just sharing. It happens all the time. Good luck on your costumes.

Yes. There was another thread not all that long ago. You can use the search feature in the forums to find topics like this that you might be interested in. Here there are: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10330222/any-cosplayers-out-there/p1 Additionally, you might be able to find some groups in the group…

Have you taken a look at the getting started posts pinned to the tops of each forum category? If not, you'll find loads of information there. I'd suggest starting here: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10300331/most-helpful-posts-getting-started-must-reads#latest

I have one and don't experience any of this, nor a depression in the middle. Perhaps the technology has changed over the years? Mine's been great for the past 2 years that I've had it.

I just pour a bunch of barbecue sauce on the jackfruit, simmer it forever and eat it with much gusto. It's so mildly flavored that it just soaks up whatever you add to it.

I went through that same kind of thought process when I equipped my garage. I looked into stuff like that too, but my particular training style isn't suited to that kinda thing. I've more use for a rack. But that's not to say that type of equipment doesn't have it's place, function, and usefulness... it just didn't mesh…

since it's already been seconded, I'll third trendweight. It's very helpful as my diet and exercise regimen can easily swing me 5-7lbs in a day depending on how much/what I've eaten and my level of hydration.

My personal choices are seitan, tofu, tempeh, field roast products, gardein products, and protein powder... in that order.

I'd recommend starting with some of the stickied posts at the top of each forum. http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10300331/most-helpful-posts-getting-started-must-reads#latest or this one:…

I used to use the drops, but switched to powder packets instead. They were cheaper and made of mostly the same stuff. I've never seen any solid science that said they were bad, just like I've never seen any solid science that said diet soda was worse for you. Lots of people used water flavors or even diet soda and still…

Alcoholism is often described as a lifelong disease. Never having been an alcoholic, I wouldn't know, but those that I know who are agree. I know that it's the same way for me regarding smoking... I smoked for 10+years, been free for 3 years now, and even so much as 1 cigarette and I wouldn't be able to stop again without…

That's a lot of food, OP. What are your current goals? Are you currently running a bulk?
-
I pretty much just eat whatever I want with some consideration. I set my macro goals and then eat to that guideline. For example, I eat around 1.2-1.4 grams of protein per pound (general advice is 0.8 to 1.0 grams/lb of lean mass or goal weight), my fat is roughly .5grams/lb, and then I fill the rest of my calorie goal…

Speaking as a long time vegan, much of the stuff you read on the internet regarding a vegan diet is simply not true in regards to weight loss. No matter your way of eating, you cannot consume more than your TDEE in a day (consistently) and lose weight. The quantity and quality of foods will of course have a nutritional…

No problem. Those are the most active vegan groups that I've found. There are possibly others, but those seem most active.

There are actually some pretty active groups that would be good for support. I'm a member of this one: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/45-happy-herbivores and this one: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/46-team-vegan
