Finished W2D1 today! Am behind because I was taken out by sinus infection and bronchitis. I upped my running to 6 and survived. Was pretty darn proud of myself!

Awesome job!!!!

Awesome success!! Congrats!!!

I agree with Lucky. The forums are full of posters who hit the diet and exercise HARD right off the bat and did not lose squat. Myself, I was doing the recommended 1200 thing and exercising all the time. Took me 8 months to lose four pounds. Total fail. The fact that you have lost so much already is awesome. Don't be…

Yep, the twins.

Bump. Wish I could help. Been on here since Jan 3 and still play with my settings all the time. I am also a stay-at-home-mom, so it makes it harder to judge my activity level. Hoping you get some good responses!!

:( Am now a week behind (hope to do week two this coming week) due to sinus infection and bronchitis. But having this group is motivating me to want to get back at it SOON!

I agree with you. The other one that I hate is "you look healthier with some meat on your bones".....just a nicer way of saying 'if the plane went down, we could eat off you for AWHILE!".

Week one done!! Had to do Day 2 and Day 3 tonight ( I am sure that is not recommended) due to inability to get to the gym rest of week/weekend. Praying i can get out of bed tomorrow. :)

W1D1 down!! Am pretty giddy about it actually. Felt like telling everyone at the gym I just did first day of C25K. :) Walked at 3.5 and ran at 5 (thanks for all the advice everyone!). Going to try to up it on Thursday (day 2) and see how that goes. Thanks alhoward8 for starting this!!

Ok. Total clueless beginner here. I am doing mine on the treadmill. What speeds are you guys doing for walk, cool down/warm up walk, and run?? I realize it will probably vary, but what would be good to start??

No words of wisdom...just support. Been there, done that, and doing it again. This is my third restart. I truly think a lot of people are in your same boat. This SUCKS! Just step back and breathe. When you are ready, jump back in.

Welcome back!

If excited means scared to death....then me too!!! Made a declaration that I was going to start once before, but then fell down the stairs and hobbled my knee for weeks. Going to try this!!
-
Ok! I am in. I was planning on starting tomorrow (Tuesday). Never joined a challenge before. How do we stay connected??

MFP has brought me from Double Damn to just Damn. Hubby thinks it is Damn wrong! :)

WTG!! Great NSV!

Took my first spinning class yesterday. It was an amazing work out. One warning.....heed the advice of the instructor on here and use a gel seat or something with great padding. All I can say today is......OUCH!
-
Same here! Was working out every day and gained 6 pounds! Quit cold turkey and lost em all. Started at the gym yesterday and getting nervous about it.

Think that is the definition of justifiable homicide. Right??

Don't have any great advice, just wanted to let you know I feel for you. Keep your chin up, you are not alone!

bump. I tend to switch sides based on sidewalk/no sidewalk/safety, etc.

Third time for me honey!

LMAO at Mickmelie's response! That is awesome!!! Probably will be true too. There is always another event. You had the gumption to lose twenty....which is very impressive. You have it in you, you can do it!!

Good question, but I am not sure you are going to get a standard answer. My sister in law and I weigh about 4 pounds different. She wears an 8/10, I wear a 12/14. Store sizes are soo crazy. I joke that I have an Oprah closet. Ever see that episode where she got rid of a TON of clothes and she had every size there was?

You could do the dance to Thriller and you went to the drive-in.
