I love running trails and I am finding that lifting is really helping me do that better!!

Yep, I just edited an entry today and added the grams (64g) in the example above. The only problem I ever have is that I have to do that from the website. Is there a way to do that from the app that I have missed seeing??

I enjoy watching the numbers bounce and can almost see a pattern. If you can look at them that way, which it seems you can by your comments that it is normal, then I don't see a problem with daily weighing. Good luck!!

Eating more than your maintenance calories will make you gain weight. Eat food you enjoy and maintain a deficit to lose weight.
-
And also know that depending on where you are in your cycle, water weight fluctuations can hide any fat loss that you may have.

Yep, I agree! That's why I asked if she weighed daily. If not and she had a 2 week period like you from 2/1 to 2/14(ish?) and only weighed on 2/14, she would think she gained. My charts look a lot like yours!

How often are you weighing? I agree with comments above that it could be water retention and if you don't weigh daily, you may have caught a high day. I also think you are over estimating your calories. Measuring cups don't work as well as a scale and individual portions can be off by as much as 20%. But even at that, I…

I like to stir fry veggies and then push to the side and heat 1 egg and egg whites, then combine. You will get a lot of protein and fat to keep you full from the eggs and you can get several servings of vegetables. Add soy sauce for flavor.

Since it sounds like you have been eating at your TDEE, have you seen any change in measurements? Since you are weight training, you may have been doing recomp unknowingly!?
-
I read that as "I used to think the veterans"...meaning now they see the importance of weighing and logging properly. Eh, that was just my take :)

You can input your weight on a daily basis and it will track the overall trend. So even on days that I go up in weight, I can see that my overall trend is still going down. I went up in weight today and my trend still says I am losing 0.9lbs/week and shows it on a pretty graph :)

There are a couple of good apps for capturing your weight trends...Happy Scale (ios) and Libra (Android) or trendweight.com (links to a fitbit account I believe). I personally use Libra and love it. Good luck!

Mmmm, I made black bean chili last night, maybe this should be lunch today. :)

Barbecue sauce. I prefer texas style, more vinegar based with a spicy or peppery kick!

Does PF still have a strict dress code? I remember hearing stories of women being asked to leave because their tank tops were too revealling??

24 Hour Fitness sponsored the first 9 seasons before they switched to PF. 24 allows all those things that PF doesn't. My location added a 3rd squat rack with Olympic weights. I think the BL issue is just the sustainability.

That is difficult. My husband's Dr had him cut dairy for a month and that was difficult for both of us (I do all the shopping and cooking). He still has some issues and may have to see an allergist to determine what besides gluten is causing the issues and I've heard stories of oats and corn allergies...but I really hope…

This!! My husband is also celiac and it's all the people that are doing it for whatever reason that make it easier for me to shop. Products are better labeled and there is a lot more selection now. The more people who want to buy GF for whatever reason the better for me.

I'm not suffering! I've had a couple of weeks that my weight looked like it was increasing, even my trend line increased but I kept at my calorie level (5'2" and averaging 1600) and it dropped on it's own with my average loss at 1.1lbs/week. All good here.

Mine varies. Some nights I have a planned run after I drop my kids at their activity, so I have a snack 2 hours before and run until I pick up the kids, then I go home and have a late dinner. Other nights when I know it will be later in the evening/night, I eat dinner at my normal time. But, I have to make sure I give it…

That is a great update!!

Good question. I'll be "listening" for the answer and hints from other users. I have several years worth of recipes and I just went through last week to delete ones I knew I wouldn't be making again to slim down my list. I also search on the app first to make sure I have a recipe and then at least I know it's there as I go…

I am also a vegetarian but I like to buy the large container of frozen precooked pulled pork from Sam's club for my husband to eat. Do you think he will get the same effect on this diet even though he is using a processed store bought version instead of homemade????

If I have a large pot I will just put a kitchen towel across my scale where I can just see the numbers, zero it out and then place the pot. It is usually just there for a few seconds and the towel is enough protection for the large pot.

Unless it's Dr. Pepper. Here in Texas it's Dr Pepper or Coke (everything else!)

I recently downloaded this free cookbook on Amazon and have found some good recipes. Eat Green Get Lean, by Michael Matthews.

Oh, I count it as my water but for some reason I can drink 2 or 3 of them and then not want anything else and I was feeling dehydrated over the course of a day. I guess my break from it did get me liking to drink water, but I'm much happier now with a both througout the day :)
-
I realized that I wasn't drinking enough water in a day and back in August decided to cut my diet pop from my diet to force my water consumption to increase. You read everything that says how much better you will feel. I still drank my morning coffee and then nothing but water and soymilk (never have liked cows milk). I…

I was thinking this too. I eat a lot of meals based on beans...is that a carb, is that a protein, is it 2 of my 55. I'm with you, to each his own. Find what works for you now and what will work for you long term!!

Garmin just puts your active calories, aside from any recorded exercise, to those steps...so it's any calories burned above your resting calories to adjust to the MFP calories. If you have negative calories turned on this will sometimes have a step count and a negative number too. I would just look at your resting burn.…
