TYVM Phil. To the poster, of course not...I still drink(though not as often) but when I do, I DRINK! Before I found this site, I was gaining on a regular basis and now that I'm not, I have no complaints. I usually count what I drink to fit my calorie goals or just work it off or something, but it's nothing to be afraid of.…

I'm so happy for you...even when the scale doesn't say what we want it to say, what happened to you lets you know that you have been WORKIN' IT, GIRL!!!!! Congrats on your NSV!!!!

Welcome to the site...I realized the same thing and been doing it since January...I may have to do it like forever, but that's okay cause the ppl here are really cool. Once you build up a group of friends for encouragement and motivation, you'll see what I mean! Good luck and much success on your journey...you can do it!…

It's muscle...once that part is over you'll start to drop pounds without the flab...I'm finally starting to see just a teeny weeny bit of definition in my shoulders...a little more in the legs and thighs. Anyway, I'm sure that's what it is.

For me it's white wine and 13lbs down! I'm not rushing myself with the weight loss - as long as I get to my desired weight and build muscle WHENEVER it happens, I'm satisfied. I just make sure that what I drink fits into my calorie goal and if it doesn't I work it off(unless I've fallen asleep of course), but usually if I…

I thought I was 5'2, but went to the doctor last month and they took half an inch from me, but my first goal is to hit 140. Ultimate goal is around 120 with lean muscle(I'm quite flabby) and once I get there I'll see if I want to go lower. I think 120 is pretty good seeing that I haven't been there in 20 years!:frown:…

You're on the right track in your life, be patient and everything else will fall into place with a little faith! Much success!:flowerforyou:

Sometimes working out a lot takes your appetite and I feel you on this. I upped my calorie goals and it's working so far but when I got to the place where I was netting below 1200-1300, I just took a couple of days break from working out and BOOM! My appetite came back(some days quite ravenously)lol but I was able to get…

Hi to both of you! I don't have fibromyalga, but I have a sister who does. She's not on a fitness plan(still slim at 54yrs of age - wow!), but I've been here a while and I love it. Everything I tried before MFP(crash diets and the like) of course didn't work, but this site has put everything in perspective for me now. I…

Feel free to add me if you like. It'll all work out!:flowerforyou:

Hi and welcome to the site! It will make things a lot easier with your life change because the database basically does the work for you! My advice is to just start out with counting your calories first until you get used to it and then you can start on the workouts although a few jumping jack here and there won't…

Welcome to the site! I'm a mom of 3 although sometimes it seems like 'double the trouble', 2-10, terribly energetic kids but they are the best rewards life can give! I understand the part about needing will power. Before I came to MFP, my favorite thing was to eat while watching TV. I believe that you will do great here. I…

Love this...once you start thinking of things to be thankful for you'll wonder why you were down in the first place...the things on the above list are things that some ppl wish they had but don't...If we have PART of our health we're batting a thousand because we're not laying somewhere dying...that being said, we all feel…

I don't have any expresso, I just make some really strong coffee, handful of ice, 1tbsp french vanilla ice cream - milk of your choice works too, chocolate syrup or cocoa powder, sweeten with splenda...I hate whipped cream, but a sprinkle of cinnamon adds a little zing...don't know the calories of Baskin Robbins cappucino…

Good for you! I used to hate the mere thought of exercising, but once I saw how good I felt afterwards, it's become a regular thing for me...if I have no energy, am feeling sluggish, or just have a down attitude a good workout always makes me feel better...mentally as well as physically...love that workout rush! Good going…

As long as it fits into your calorie budget, drink up! I try to watch how often I drink, but I DO drink...love vodka!:drinker:

Amazing! Thanks for letting me know that I can do it too...having a really hard time with the belly, but thanks so much...I'm totally inspired!!!!

I know how you feel. I'm a stay at home mom of 3 and I homeschool, so it takes up a lot of time and energy(especially with an overly energetic two year old - whew!). I have a hard time planning when to workout but usually when I'm just plain old worn out I rest. If I know that I just don't feel like working out I make…

Hey! You are a fitness pal after my own heart! I went over by 800 last night and was surprised that I didn't beat myself up about it. My attitude has really changed and I'm glad about it. I guess all those days of being under, we balance ourselves out by going over once in a blue moon. Strangely enough, I feel recharged…
-
Wow! Love your attitude! You are right...nobody needs to be stuck with ppl who are jealous or don't want you to succeed. You definitely have the right idea and I'm proud of you for knowing that sometimes you will get stuck(boy did I do that today!lol). As long as you have no intention on quitting and I'm sure you don't…

So true...you're gonna have days when you don't do as well as usual but you can't beat yourself up about it. We're human and it happens. Just don't let anyone else's negativity influence your actions. Keep your mind made up that you will stick with this whether you slip up or not and you won't have those bad feelings.…

Welcome to the site and good luck to you both!:drinker:

Sounds like plan A and B are okay to me...take your pick and enjoy your day of baking! As long as you work out you shouldn't do too much damage. Good job planning!

WOW!!! I am sooo stunned and inspired. You have totally transformed and you should be very proud. I don't even know you and I'm freaking proud as hell of you. You are living proof that it can be done with determination and everyone needs to see your post. God bless you because you are truly a blessing to whoever sees this!…

Please don't give up...you've come too far to stop now! You've got so many ppl here that genuinely care about you, your success and your welfare and you've just put in way too much work to let it go. I know stress can have a bad effect on you(believe me I know), but maybe you just need to relax maybe even take off a day or…

I congratulate everyone who is able to quit. I know that it won't happen for me until I actually WANT to quit. Be strong guys!:smokin:

A carpenter meets an old farmer down a country road. The farmer is accompanied by his daughter who looks very homely and not too bright. The old man tells the carpenter that he is trying to find someone willing to marry his daughter. "She's over eighteen, she's used to hard work, and she follows instructions to the letter,…
