  • I just ordered the bodyfit media core with display. They have them on sale right now. I did a lot of research and asked people who using them. I didn't want to mess with the chest strap so this suits what I want. On their website you can compare many different brands.
  • Ice packs help me a lot with my migraines along with a dark, quiet room, lots of water. But doesn't sound like you have all those options.
  • Pink lady! My every afternoon snack!
  • I will track for at least some period of time since eating for maintenance will not be the same as eating for loss. Also I anticipate that when I reach the right number on the scale my work won't be completely done so I want to keep good record of what I'm doing so I know what works and what doesn't.
  • I get my chocolate fix EVERY morning. My breakfast is always carnation instant breakfast (chocolate no sugar added), 1 cup of light vanilla soy milk and a banana. They all hop in the blender on low until completely blended through smooth and it is just like a banana chocolate shake. The soy milk helps with creamy texture…
  • I think they could be helpful as a transitional tool. If you aren't used to water but you want to drink more start there. They are a better substitute than pop for sure but they still have aspartame or other artificial sweeteners which can do damage to our bodies. Eventually you may want to just have water. I used them…
  • Make time for yourself. Realize that you are worth it and make it happen. I too am frequently worn slick by the time the end of the work day comes. So get up 30 mins earlier and spend 15-20 mins with some form of exercise. It a start and it will help you ease into it. Making it a priority and not a choice. You are worth…
  • So sad that my new scale is registering me at 6lbs more than the old one. I am 2 months in and I have still lost 13 pounds but just sucks that I now have further to go... My question is I reset my starting weight and current weight to reflect the 6lbs difference. Should everything still work right? It won't mess any of my…
  • I double up. I wear a regular bra with a sports bra over. I cannot do without underwire and the real supportive sports bras that cross cross on the back strain my neck terribly!

  • That is awesome! I had a moment like that yesterday. I ran for 10 straight minutes on the treadmill. I have never been a 'runner' which I suspect is more a mental road block for me because I can walk very fast pace forever and be fine. But yesterday I told me self "lets see if I can run 5" which turned into 10. I want to…

  • I am currently set at 1200 (MFP set this for me) I am 5'4" currently 147 and shooting for 130. I am planning to start incorporating weights. Now mostly doing Zumba classes and treadmill. How do I know if 1200 (which I am frequently under) is doing me more harm than good. I am losing but don't want to damage my metabolism.…
  • I do cheat meals also. It helps me not feel deprived and I think it keeps my body from getting in a rut expecting the same thing all the time. I have about 1 cheat per week. I try to exercise more on that day too.
  • Yes! You said exactly what I was thinking as I read this!
  • I have decided this year to not only use the scale but to use a tape measure to gauge my results. I have only lost two pounds but the inches was shocking!!! I have never done this before but really glad I did. This is a great motivator for me to keep going. I try to tell myself that the scale doesn't account for muscle…

  • Hello! I used the phone app a couple of years ago for tracking and lost 30 lbs. now it's time to lose it and keep it off! I am 37 no major health issues. I do have anti phospholipid syndrome (blood clotting disorder) and take Coumadin so doc doesn't really want me to run after having a clot in my calf 10 years ago. Other…
