I disagree that you say the bodymedia fit isn't accurate for calorie expenditure. They have been proven to be 90% accurate. I personally depend on mine and have been using daily for 3 months. I have lost 36 lbs since Jan 1 and my weight loss sped up significantly after acquiring my bodymedia fit band in April. I am now at…

My target is 3.2-4. They like to keep me on the higher side. This was scary and still don't know what caused it! I'm being super careful now until I can get a bit more straightened out. I do have troubles in the summer but never like this.

I'm 5'4" and started at 161 lbs. Currently at 127lbs. Much happier now than I was at 145. I still carried a lot around the middle and hadn't really lost much as far as sizes go. Was still wearing the same clothes just looser. I'm back down to a size 6 from as 10/12. My bmi is at 21.8 so that's pretty close to the middle of…

I have been lucky and no stocking for me. The first couple of years I had a lot of pain in the leg with the DVT but had eased up. Strange how much havoc that plays on your nerves in the legs!! My clot was in my calf but my quad felt like it was on fire. Doc said lack of proper blood flow.

Yes lots of water and be aware that it can affect your mood. It makes me super irritable! I hate the stuff but sometimes the only think that works

I too used to say I was envious of those who can run. Then I told myself I could too and I can. For me there was a huge mental block telling me I couldn't. I decided to work up to doing a 5k this year. Didn't train specifically just ran and walked intermittently along with Zumba, Pilates and some other exercises. Prior to…

Not sure how active this group is but wanted to say hello! I'm Jamie. I have been on Coumadin since 2002 (11 years this week). Went to the doctor on June 7th because something felt wrong in my leg and I suspected a clot. Doctor thought I was crazy but sent me to ultrasound to show me I was wrong. Well she was wrong I was…

Lots of people are going to say more water, more fiber, yogurt... I was doing those things and no help. Read here about others having been helped by magnesium/calcium/zinc supplement. Started that and within 2 days Viola! Problem solved! Good luck!

I love my bodymedia fit device. It is worn on left tricep. It calculates calories, steps, moderate/vigorous exercise time and sleep. It synchs with mfp for nutritional tracking. It has helped me immensely to understand what my body is really doing. It's the same type of device they use on the weight loss shows. It's tested…

What helped me was taking a magnesium/calcium/zinc supplement. Read about somewhere on Mfp and it really helps. Also don't cut too much healthy fats!

I just joined. Using my bodymedia core device and signed up for the summer challenge for June. This is going to be great because I have pretty much met my New Years goals and needed something to focus my energies on. I don't do well with winging it. I have to have a goal! http://earndit.com/human/5j3bg3bt

Roasted veggies! Cut up hunks of whatever you have on hand. Hit them with a little olive oil spray and some mrs dash or whatever your seasoning of choice is and throw them in a 400 degree oven to the degree of doneness you prefer. I usually do 30-40 mins depending on thickness and type of veggie. They are delicious and you…

I log ahead so I can make sure there is room for what I want for dinner and try to add more exercise if needed. I like to have a little room for a glass of wine, a beer or some frozen yogurt or skinny cow if I want it. If I don't want it I don't have it but if there's room and I want it it's always better!!

Not so simple, the problem with that is that the hormones are controlled by you ovaries so usually the procedures just involve burning off the lining of your uterus or removal of you uterus and leaves your ovaries there. Which will still give you the monthly ups and downs just no menstration. Some people have to have…

I have the bodymedia fit core and love it. No problems and has really helped me understand what my body is doing.

I don't have fitbit but have the bodymedia fit core and I'd say its pretty accurate. I have used for about 1.5 months so far and my weight loss has really sped up since using it (12 lbs since getting it.) It claims 90% accuracy. I love it.

Have only done one and was minimal training directed at timing more towards endurance. Finished in 31:53. 36 year old female.

Today is my 11 year wedding anniversary and we are celebrating by going to the Royals game. They have the best chili cheese fries and I'm going to to have some!! And probably a beer! I've been at this more than 4 months and down 27 pounds. If I'm going to keep ahead of myself the rest of my life I know there will be…

Lightly salted almonds, a kashi bar, small cooler with string cheese or Greek yogurt, simple sandwich.. Pretty much anything that I would normally take anywhere like work. I will spending all weekend at the ballpark (teenage daughter plays traveling competitive softball) and those are the worst times to not have brought…

I have a heart rate monitor- body media fit. You wear it on your left tricep. Doesn't require a chest strap and I have the optional display that shows calories burned and steps. You synch it with Mfp and shows how much intake you have and how much you burn off. They have been tested and proven to be 90% accurate. I don't…

Sorry to jump in but I have a question and thought maybe you could help. I'm about halfway to my goal weight but want to start incorporating lifting into my routine. I am eating 1200 a day and eating back all my exercise cals. I exercise everyday (some days are just 15 mins on the treadmill walking) so should I increase…

So a girl in my Zumba class wears her hrm and is burning about 600 cal an hour (intense effort) and I use Mfp estimate for dancing and get around 300. We are different sizes but both are working at intense effort stage (lots of sweating). Many people say Mfp over estimates but I wonder if I'm really getting 300? My hrm…
