Kerri, you hit that one right on the head. My husband's dad for many many years would loudly ask him how much he weighed in front of a room full of people every chance he got. Pop died of Alzhiemers eventually. Also a friend was asked by his 5 year old when he was going to have his baby? Ouch

I know shock stops you in your tracks. Wish I could think of something quickly when someone slings you a comment/insult as in "gee I thought you were older". Wish you could have piped up," why no I am just fat but thank you for pointing that out! You have made "my day. You have a nice day now." Argh, thoughtless people.

Try mixing tea: green tea or black tea and add a flavored tea(pick a flavor you really enjoy; peach, berry etc) and drink without sweetner. There are some wonderful tasting combinations that are especially good over ice.

I am 59 and my husband is 60. He finally has started to support my weight lose just within the last 2 months. He needs to lose 80 pounds. It has taken him 60 years to realize he may have to live a more healthy lifestyle. Well dah.... Interesting to see if he will sustain the momentum.

Try a half of grapefruit a day. I eat a whole one every other day.

Look up Strong Women/Bone classes in your area. Here in Alaska I am taking them from the UAA Cooperative Extension and they run only $36 for a series. Once you learn the routine then you can increase your weights and continue doing them at home on your own.

Listen to your doctor. Eating too little will catch up to you. Losing weight slow and easy is best.

Hmmmm, turkey white bean chili sounds good. Must cut recipe so I won't be eating it for the next week or freeze; my husband travels for work. And I can add dark green leafy things to that. My dietition wants me to add 2 cups of organic dark greens a day to diet? She must be thinking dry leaves but even so.

Yeah my dietition says I should eat 3 whole eggs a week. Now I know why I feel terrible after eating whole eggs for breakfast; nausea and flu like symptoms. Guess it is back to eating egg whites only for me.

Check your blood pressure. I have felt run down with indigestion for over a month and adjusted my blood pressure meds cause mine was too low and gee does that make a difference. I have lost about 10 pound also. Yours could be to high though.
