  • I have a fit bit zip that I bought new off craigslist. $39. Love it! It doesn't do all the fancy stuff but all I really wanted was a reliable step counter that linked to my computer.
  • Keep saying "Hunger is your friend!" and drink some water.
  • Check out your local library. Ours has a huge variety of yoga, walking, aerobics dvds to check out for free. If you don't like it, at least you didn't pay $ for it.
  • https://www.fitbit.com/user/2STC4B I'm using a zip and love it. Trying to avg 10k steps but don't always make it. Please feel free to add me.
  • When we camp, I tend to worry less about calories and work on moderation. 1 smore instead of 3, 1 hotdog instead of 2 etc. We usually are more active when camping so the exercise helps. I've usually gained some weight but its from the more salty foods and not drinking enough water. Have fun.
  • Boot gap beats a thigh gap!
  • Nursing a baby is the easiest weight loss technique. Just have to eat sensible so you don't reduce supply.
  • Sounds like your body is just being cranky! Drink your water and keep up with logging everything and weighing or measuring. (no eyeballing your food portions) Don't use this as an excuse to slack off.
  • Hi, i'm a 40's girl but need to lose the 20 lbs to be really healthy. 10 lbs would put me into the higher end of the 'healthy weight' BMI catagory. I'D Be more than happy with that. I tend to lose and gain the same 5 lbs every month. I'll send out a friend request.
  • Hello, my name is Sara, i am a 44 yr old mother of 2. I work in a library. One might think lifting books would make me strong, but no my arms are still flabby. Starting weight at the Dr's 168. I've shrunk an inch since last visit and they say i,m now 5'6. I think I'm 5'7 so that's what I enter when calculating BMI. Goal…
  • It is empowering to realize something you just 'knew' you could never do has been done. I finished my 20 minute run last week and know exactly how you feel. Great job.
  • Real name :Sara 9/2. 158.6 Goal 153. September 30th Would like a spot with the losers?????
  • Yeah just finished week 5 day3. Thanks to my c25k friends for encouraging me to 'just do it' and see what happens. I did just that and it worked. I was slow but running. Don't have a good idea how far I ran but I know it was more than a mile. Never in my life have I done that.
  • Aside from being almost 2x your age, our stats are the same. I started at 173 and am down to 163 but bouncing around 165. I'd be glad for the support.
  • I hurt before the run but after the 30 minutes are up I feel great. Got to love the endorphins or whatever the brain releases after exercise. On to week 2. Perhaps i'll come out of the 'treadmill' closet and try running outside where everyone can see me. Don't like my jiggly bits in public.????
  • Finished week 1 day 3. This is the 2nd time starting. Made it to the end of week 2 and just could not get the brain to consider running for anything longer than a few minutes at a time. Using an app helps as I am not watching the clock.
  • Sounds like fun and motivation. Count me in
