that's awesome. I need T3 testing in my life, sigh.

Hi, sending you a friend request, too. I had thyroid removed for cancer a little over 3 years ago. I've not been successful in losing the 25-30 lbs I've gained in the years since then...but I know now is no time to stop trying. Some are doing quite well, and it motivates me. But damn, it's true: no cheating at all allowed…

Well, I'm really offering nothing new, but also here to express gratitude that you started this discussion. I had thyroidectomy for cancer a little more than 3 years ago, at age 30. Before that, zero thyroid symptoms, just had a nodule. I am on 175 mcg levothyroxine with TSH properly suppressed...but I've gained 25-30 lbs.…

I didn't know that existed! I'll order, thank you SO MUCH! My endo is competent, just not particularly receptive to basic QoL questions/issues. He looks at the labs and that's that. I've found it incredibly hard to find an endo who (1) takes new patients and (2) takes thyca patients, let alone the RIGHT one, even where I…

175 mcg levothyroxine daily to suppress TSH post-thyroidecotmy. My levels are ideal in mind of my endo (who doesn't even test free t3). I could really use something to address T3 issue. And perhaps dosage change would help with that 20 lbs I can't seem to lose...or not!

Yes, my fingers crossed for you, too! -Amanda

Hi allie491: Another thyca 'survivor' here. Completion thyroidectomy was 1/10, age 30 My first year after was hard adjusting to levothyroxine (jitteriness, brain fog, low energy, heart palpitations, etc.). That's all steadied and my TSH is safely suppressed on 175mcg levothyroxine. Think I probably need to explore T3…

Hi 'blushingbride': I totally understand your situation. Others are right about 1200 calories but I'm having a hard time myself since I'd swear my body actually produces its own calories post-thryoidectomy, ha! If you need support/encouragement, I'm here and feel free to add me! So much more helpful with others to urge us…

I was diagnosed with thyca at age 30 (enlargement in neck identified by obygn led to a biopsy, and the rest is history!) and suffered no thyroid issues prior to thyroidectomy (completed 1/10). I'm now almost 34 and barely recognize my body! I was a steady 125-130 lbs for my 20s, but can barely make a dent in 150 lbs now.…

Hi all -- my intro! I'm both hypo and hyper, and neither, as I had thyroidectomy for thyca (completed 1/10). I'm on steady 175 of levothyroxine daily. After some difficulties, especially in the first year, I've adjusted my levels are fine. But, surprise, surprise: my weight is not! I'm almost 34 and had no weight (or, ha,…
