For the OP's husband who really likes his soda, have you considered looking into a Sodastream? Their regular flavours are a mix of Splenda and sugar, so the bottles don't say diet on them but the calorie load is a little lighter. And you don't have a house full of empty cans and bottles, which was the biggest draw for us.

And what did you use to make your tea, coffee, and Crystal Light? What is the main and key ingredient that is the vast majority of the contents of your cup? Be as particular and detailed as you feel like being, but at the core it's all water.

I pity the poor person that's watching me Zumba through my Kinect. Some things just can't be unseen. lmao

I have a purse that's only purpose in life is to smuggle food into the theatre. I only get consession if we happen to have a coupon of some sort, like if we bought a movie night out pack from Costco.

As others have said, better coffee needs less help to make it drinkable. You don't need to break the bank, either. We buy whole bean, grind fresh, and use an inexpensive Aeropress to brew. I use just a touch of Splenda for sweetner. If I'm using the Keurig, I generally use a splash of a flavoured Torani SF syrup or just a…

I fully admit to having no control whatsoever when it comes to a bag of Salt and Vinegar chips. I had to just stop buying them and didn't replace them with a different snack. I wanted to completely break that evening mindless snacking habit. What I did do, though, to help with the flavour craving, was to keep on hand S&V…

Work on a hobby in the evenings that keeps your hands busy, especially if it's something you need to keep your hands clean for. Or if it gets your hands too dirty to want to touch any food, that would work, too.

I've been working my way through the collection of red wines at Costco that are under $10 so that I can bring them back across the border into Canada easily. I've found a few WA state wines that are quite nice and in that $8-$10 price range. I used to drink a lot of inexpensive Malbecs as they fit the budget with our heavy…

The Mediterranian diet is supposedly good for fighting depression, and I do find I feel good when I have a lot of salmon and other fish in my diet. Add to that sunshine and fresh air. Dog walks and a little gardening help me a lot to boost my mood. I also enjoy indulging in seasonal fruits and finding fun ways to eat them.

On a regular day, this is where I'm at, too. Plus coffee, tea, etc.

Last night I made a pot of soup just tossing in things from the fridge and freezer. Made enough for dinner and a couple of lunches.

But not nearly so much fun as licking all the salt and vinegar goodness out of the bottom of the bag. Not that I'd do that... or anything...

We've just recently gotten onto Larabars, and we've really fallen in love with them. I have one pretty much every day as an easy mid-afternoon snack at my desk. Unfortunately we don't get nearly as many of the flavours up here in Canada, and they're expensive. We've started ordering them on Amazon.com and picking them up…

I haven't completely cut out anything, but I have cut way back on a few things: - Potato chips, because I have no control if I start - McDonald's for supper on Thursdays and any other night I didn't feel like cooking - Diet Coke every night with dinner, just an occassional treat now - Evening glass of wine, as I'm usually…

I know the feeling, though for me it was my Christmas party dress. Wear the same, tired dress I do every year or squeeze myself into something different from my closet. I was still frantically trying on different things when I was supposed to be getting into the car, then spent the entire evening praying my pants wouldn't…

I definitely find that going for a walk is what helps me when stress at work gets the better of me. I stomp around the block until I burn it out of my system. And then getting home to a dog who thinks the best thing in the world is that you came home and he's so so so happy... it's hard to stay stressed.

I'm 5'7" (a hair under) and most days I'm fine with it, but I'd love to be a tiny bit shorter. My hubby is only a couple of inches taller than me and I outweigh him, so when I put on my sexy heels for our nights out I don't feel so sexy. More like She Hulk. I'm sure I'll feel better about wearing sexy high heels again when…

I used to eat frozen meals quite often, and this is my experience: - They're costly compared to batch cooking leftovers - They have no stick to the ribs'ness and I'm usually ravenously gnawing on the corner of my desk an hour later - Didn't teach me anything about cooking good meals for myself I can get a big pot of…

My husband likes the Oh Yeah bars as well. Think he orders them from bodybuilding.com.

Feeling much the same way. I'm down 20 pounds from my worst point last summer, 15 since January, and I'm still wearing those clothes. I'm losing weight somewhere, but it's certainly not in my waistline which feels worse and more disproportional than ever.

Social calories don't count.

There are plenty of men out there that will treat you with love and respect, and they will help build you up instead of put you down. You need to find one of those men instead.

I drink both, too. Two cups of coffee, then I switch to tea. They'll have to pry my coffee grinder out of my cold, dead hands for me to give it up. If you can cut out the creamers and all of the things that load a coffee with calories, I don't see why you'd have to give it up completely if you love it.

Not repulsed by it, but certainly no longer desiring it and have stopped bringing it home on those nights when there was no time to cook. I made time to cook instead. The only exception to the craving is 5 Guys. I LOVE their cajun fries drowned in malt vinegar and ketchup. Wendy's I haven't been able to eat at since…

We went to Boston Pizza once a month after church on Sunday, and on rare occassion to some place like McDonalds. I grew up out in the country and money was tight, so anything but eating at home generally just wasn't an option. Pop was only a once a week treat, too. I never had a problem with my weight until after I moved…

When I run into foul people like that, I just assume they must be horribly unhappy people to be so miserable to others. And I add another tick to my "I win at life" column.

I just decided one day that leaving out the cream is where I could cut a few calories, and so that's what I did. Now I don't even want any dairy or creamer of any sort in my coffee. Next step will be cutting out sweetener, but I have gotten it down to a fraction of what I've used in the past. And of course not all coffee…

I was going to suggest the hands-on hobby, too, if it's emotional eating. If your hands and brain are busy, you'll find yourself wandering to the kitchen in boredom a lot less. Needlework is great because you need to keep the fabric clean. I also do wire jewelery. No chance to dig into the chips when you have tools in each…
