My thoughts exactly. Knowing the dress will fit whether those few pounds are lost or not is one less (and very big) thing to stress out over.

There's also a Zombies, Run! 5K version if you are interested in a couch to 5K program with running intervals. I've really enjoyed it.

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll give them all a look, and certainly Rushfit as it's had a couple of mentions. The BeFit in 90 looks interesting as well, and the DVD price is very acceptable.

I've always had Starbucks as just an occasional treat mostly because I'm cheap. :stuck_out_tongue: Current splurge is a Pumpkin Spice Latte "as skinny as you can make it". But darn it's hard limiting myself to a Grande when a Venti is just a few cents more.

This is my first winter season using a sunrise simulator lamp, and it definitely makes it much easier to get up and going in the morning. I wish I'd had one of these years ago.

I've been on a few beach vacations, and it's definitely not a collection of beautiful people judging you there. It's a lot of everyday people who are just there to relax and have fun on their own vacations. You will see all shapes and body sizes, and my paranoid-of-a-sunburn father is the only guy on the beach in a shirt.…

It sucks getting up early when you're not a morning person, but I have found it so much easier to make exercising a daily habit by getting it done first thing in the morning. I workout at home, so it really only adds 45-60 minutes to my morning. I just go to bed a little earlier to make up for it. It's very rare that I…

I'm not sure her getting bulky is the actual issue, but an easy excuse. I would guess that the true issue is his insecurity in their age difference, and his fear that if she realizes her strength and vitality, she'll start to see him as an "old man". It would also explain the extreme co-dependence. I could be completely…

I would highly recommend looking into taking some cooking classes. I've taken a couple over the years just for fun, and it's great having an instructor right there to interact with and answer your questions. That said, there is a lot you can do with a crockpot that's pretty fool proof and minimal prep work. And the more…

If I'm driving down to a US Costco, I load up on meats, butter, Greek yogurt, salad mixes, fresh stirfry mix, frozen fish filets, Dave's Killer Bread, Babybel cheese, and anything else that looks good and has a rebate. I also always swing through their clothing to see what's new and what need I can fill in my closet. And…

I'm just finishing up the end of the program, and I've had to be very careful with my wrists (already had 10 weeks of physio on my right wrist earlier this year). I try to modify where I can by taking some of my weight off by either going onto my knees or using the landing on my stairs to change the angle. Sometimes I just…

For both my physical and my emotional health. I didn't feel healthy when I was at my worst, and I was too terrified of going to the doctor to have it confirmed. And sitting in a puddle of tears all too often because I was fat, ugly, and old did nothing to help me physically or emotionally. Being fat I could and am fixing.…

Unless their love language is acts of service, in which case it's not the rejection of the food itself, it's the rejection of their way of showing they care. Food was just the vehicle.

I pan fry radishes (round red ones) every now and then, and they're quite tasty. They have a different flavour when cooked than when raw, it's much more subtle.
-
I've picked up jars of lower sodium pickles lately (25% less sodium, I believe). They do taste a little different, but they still hit that crunchy salty craving.

I have a two-pocket running belt. One pocket for my phone, one for my keys and ID.

I have a pair of Kirkland capris from Costco that are fantastic for doing everything in, especially running. I really wish I had more than just one pair. I recently picked up Old Navy compression leggings, and they weathered a run in the pouring rain quite well.

This is what I run in as well, and I'm getting a second one as soon as I see another good sale.

I always want to ask when I see threads about cheat days, "who are you cheating?". Not to say my diet is perfect, far from it. But I'm not cheating myself or cheating on my diet. Indulgences are just a part of the balance I strive to create on my path towards a healthy and happy life.

If entering zombie races are your desire, OP, there's even a C25K program called Zombies, Run! 5K.

Alternating the 30DS workouts would definitely break up the monotony. With BR I got up to week 7/8 when I felt it had escalated beyond my ability, and I restarted back at week 1. That's also when I started up a C25K program on the cardio days (as I'd come to loathe those cardio DVDs). I'm back to week 7/8 again, and it's…

I find that reading in bed is necessary to help me quiet down my mind. Sometimes I take a bit of melatonin, but I haven't felt the need for it since I started getting up early every morning to exercise. By 9:30 I'm tired, and it's not long before my Kindle is falling out of my hands.

My hair is down past my hips, and I put it into a ponytail with the multiple elastics down the length. As long as it was well brushed before I put it up, it stays in good shape.

I'm very happy with the max support Champion bra I picked up at SportChek over the summer. It's a generic size (S, M, L) rather than a cup size, but nothing moves when I jog.

Silly people with your Coke Zero and Pepsi Max... everyone knows that true pop aficionados* drink Sodastream Cola Free. *as judged by me and my dog

The first thing I always thought to myself when seeing an overweight person out for a run, or trying to run, was "good on them for getting out there!". Usually accompanied by a bit (lot) of guilt that I should be out there, too. So when I started, I carried my head high and just told myself that they're saying the same…

I'm working on the Zombies, Run! 5K. Adds a little story to the training, which I really like. I never thought I'd ever be a runner, but I find myself looking forward to my cardio days.

At my heaviest, I had to wear my wedding ring on a necklace, as it wouldn't fit on my finger anymore. Now it fits a little loose on my finger.

I've recently started subbing the cardio DVD out for Zombies, Run! 5K. I'm finding it far more enjoyable, and I believe in the long run will be of better benefit to me, personally.
