Hey, it's progress! :D I hope you feel better.
-
Congrats! :D
-
Congrats on making it into the 160s! :D
-
I've been in the 160s for a few days now! I'm officially declaring myself out of the 170s. :D
-
Thanks!! :-) I'm actually at 169 now... a couple more days of this and I'm officially out of the 170s!
-
170.4 pounds and 26% fat!!! Woohoo!!!
-
Table salt has iodine added to it, which is important for avoiding stuff like thyroid problems. Why are you pushing sea salt so much, which has barely any iodine at all?
-
Angry tummy is fine, as long as you're +/-100 within your calorie limit. It means that your stomach has actually finished digesting for a change. I had that happen recently and it was kind of interesting as I hadn't had my stomach rumble for a long, long time.
-
That's some great progress, Tiffany!! I've been at 172.x for a few days now... 169 is within reaching distance. I'd estimate one or two more weeks. :D

My BMR is 1,707. I'm making sure to stay as close to the recommended intake as possible, because I have the goal set so high. I'm taking all the "don't go overboard when calorie cutting" advice on this site to heart.
-
Well, you're certainly meeting your goal then, purplespeckle. :-) I set mine to extreme mode... "sedentary lifestyle" and "2 pounds per week". I'm a computer geek so I rarely get any exercise from regular activities. And I don't feel too bad if I go 200 over the allotment occasionally because I'm still well under the BMR…
-
I'm at 172.8!!! I can't believe I got this far in 3 weeks; it's amazing what regular diet and exercise can do. Good luck purplespeckle, you can do it! What did you set your goal amount to lose per week? And how long have you been at it?
-
Aha, thanks! Weird that the hyphen makes a difference like that.
-
Congratulations!!

I'm definitely going to get some new pants. I was shocked a couple years ago when I saw that my waist size had gone up from 32 to 36 at some point... Heck, I'm sure I'll need new pants at my halfway point.
-
Thanks! :-) I've been mostly doing 20 laps on the stairs once or twice a day, which burns a lot of calories. I also recently started experimenting with less carbs, but there's no way I'm cutting carbs completely. I just know that I usually eat too much bread. So now I eat mom's homemade meat spread on crackers and I've…

I always take off my shoes and empty my pockets before I get on that doctor's scale... the extra pound it removes makes a difference. ;-) And yes, I do naked weigh-ins at home with a scale that's purportedly accurate to the nearest 0.2 pounds.
-
I'm hovering around 175; it's so tantalizing. I can't wait to see 174 on the scale. I managed to burn off my mysterious weight gain from a week ago (which I still think was muscle as I did nothing but move heavy boxes and three square meals).
-
Sounds fishy; I can't find any legitimate scientific studies backing this up. And there are reports of people unable to get a refund after the 30 days are up.
-
Congrats! I gained a few pounds since yesterday, but I'm convinced most of it is muscle since I spent an entire day moving heavy things out of a garage for someone.
-
I just finished my first week, and lost 4.5 pounds. I definitely know the second week will be harder, but I think I'm stubborn enough to persevere. Especially since I haven't seen my weight at 175 for months! Honestly, I'll be happy if I can eventually reach 160 because that's a maintainable weight for me but it would be…
-
I was at 178 for quite a while and then after the holiday eats I jumped to 180... I finally decided to get serious about losing weight especially since I have noticed hypoglycemic symptoms. I went to the doctor this week for detailed bloodwork which should tell me which foods I really need to avoid (I may need to avoid…

Well, I just got a small box from World Market and apparently I'm allergic to beeswax, which I've long suspected. Oh well. It's weird because I can have honey with no problem. I am allergic to every pollen under the sun, though.

I've never found gum to increase my appetite, and I salivate plenty as it is due to the "chewing my cheek" habit. I did stumble across Glee Gum, which might be worth a try. While it does have a small amount of sugar, it doesn't have any artificial crap in it. This includes no sugar alcohols, no aspartame, no left-handed…

Water is the only thing I ever drink, so thirstiness usually does it. I get dry very quickly. I can't stand soda, coffee, tea, and most juices.
