  • Limes. I needed limes this weekend and they are 2 for a $1.00 at the grocery store and for 2 at the Farmers Market it would be $1.50. Only a few years back I got 10 limes for a $1.00 at both locations.
  • I just recovered from bronchitis. The Doctor told me that it can take weeks to months to clear up the cough related to bronchitis and recover your strength. He also explained that four days after the last of my mucus can up I was allowed to return to working out and not considered contagious. Along with the medication they…
  • You will know when you go to low for to long. Mine was around 800mg for some time but I was not tracking and did not realize it. Due to the heat and my workouts this was to low for me. I felt really sick and it took a day to feel better after I started on electrolytes and adding salt to my food.

  • Started with calories in - calories out. 50% Carb, 25% protein, 25% fat and just try to eat a bit healthier. I did not cut out any foods and I still have not. I did cardio and some weights, now I do mixed martial arts, some cardio and weights. Most of my weight dropped before mfp but it is so much easier with mfp. I wish I…
  • I went from a size 22(US) top to a 8 and a size 20 pant to a size 4. I did not give up even when I sat at the same weight for six months. Suddenly started dropping again and am a few pounds from my goal now.
  • I used to love the Caramel Frappe from Starbucks. I do not drink then now because something changed and I started to get bloated and gas so bad no one wanted to be near me. Now I drink coffee with almond milk and a dash of sugar, makes everyone happier and I put the extra calories to healthier food. I really do miss the…

  • They told me I had sciatica for two years. Saw a doctor, two chiropractor’s, a therapists and a personal trainer with no relief. Finally did some research on my own, went back with my findings and within minutes had a new diagnosis of piriformis syndrome. This was treated and I was back on my feet and moving. I also have…
  • The doctors told me that with my back and foot issues that I would never walk more then a block or two without pain. My foot was diagnosed as permanently damaged by three doctors who said they would do what they could to make me more comfortable. The fourth doctor was a marathon runner. He said “lets get you up and moving”…
  • My friend had gastric bypass surgery, she died within a week due to complications. This left two very young little girls with no mother. Scared me enough I got myself under control. I lost 74 lbs with exercise and proper eating. Gained 26 lbs back setting in hospitals for several years and the stress of my parents being…
  • I do not share but my husband knows and a few others that have noticed. Most lose interest when they ask how I do it and I tell them I eat healthy and track exercise and calories on MFP. Generally that is the end of the subject and if not they whine about why dieting does not work for them. I am not on a diet, never said I…
  • I count the calories after class as marital arts, aerobics, and slow walking depending on the effort. I sometimes count all three as part of a class. Of course I drop minutes off for the instructor talking. The bruises do get better. It was just a new location and my partner was 6ft4 250lbs, taking the kicks when I did not…
  • I work at a desk job, do Krav 3 to 4.5 hours a week and other things mixed in. I used several calculators to get an average for my stats as a couch potato then eat back all to 75% of my workout calories. For me a Krav class can be intense crazy and burn lots of calories or it may be more technical slow it down with less…
