  • They provide that for before and after work use. I personally think if they are going to spend the funds to install a gym, they should also develop programs for employees to utilize it. Use it for team moral building: Pow Wow over an upcoming agenda while walking on a treadmill. My current boss used to have "Pond Meetings"…
  • I work in the corporate world where eating outis done a bit as well. I bring my lunch, eat at my desk, and like others use my lunch hour for walking or knocking off an errand or two. Sometimes, going out to eat is a way for those people who spend their entire day in the office to get away. While their is an "air" about…
  • Could be panic/anxiety attacks but best to call your doctor. If for some reason you can't or don't want to then I suggest meditating daily. IF that doesn't help then it really is something you should talk to your doctor about.
  • Depends on the bands and you would have to modify moves to work with bands which could provide different results but it is worth a shot... I say go for it and do what you can with bands. Otherwise, rather than 20oz water bottles, go purchase two sports bottles that will hold 32 oz. Fill those and it will give you about…
  • Please tell me you are joking. One slip and you want to throw in the towel? I guess I should have too but then I wouldn't have successfully lost 68lbs. Get back on the wagon! It's not a crisis! Are you really intending to never again eat a pancake in your life? I surely hope not. You didn't devour the lot or the entire…
  • :smokin: YOU LOOK AWESOME!!! For those who you have distanced yourself from, it is their loss for not being able to commit to your changes and minimally be supportive to help you get healthy. I have seen similar issues with a couple of those I felt closer too and it has been hard but I just do my very best not to let it…
  • 10,632 + 69 = 10,701 MFP You are looking HAWT!!!
  • NICE JOB!! You look factastic! I know how you feel! For me the biggest thrill I think was when I was at the gym nce and, without even thinking, plopped my socks on while standing and didn't lose my balance. But there are just too many thrills to recall along the way. Enjoy them all!!! You are doing a spectacular job!
  • And sometimes the apin is just trying to mess with your head. I lift. While I don't have lower back issues, I do have issues with my shoulders. I still lift. Sometimes I "overdo it". Pain is a part of life. Learn your limits. Also keep in mind that not all pain is necessarily bad. If you are strengthening muscle then it…
  • I agree with the majority here, while it is a healthy option, it should not be a normal go to for the simple facts already given: 1) I couldn't afford it twice a day 5 days a week. More power to you if you are able. One day I hope I can say I could afford to, but still wouldn't. Preparing food at home is by far cheaper 2)…
  • My work mug simply states: "Good @#!!$* Morning" Once the mug is full, it sure is :drinker: Introduced to coffee before I could drink from a proper cup. Yes, my mother put it in my bottles; back in the day our parents used whiskey to ease babies teething pain, we drank from the hose, jumped in the leaves, and drank coffee…
  • Healthy crack: ALMONDS Not-so-Healthy crack: Chocolate, Ice cream, Jelly beans, Chocolate, carmel, chocolate, ice cream....
  • Thjis is an awesome topic, just saying. I lift heavy, with the hubs and his dudes, who I fondly call Mary and Jane. It's great fun! I take lifting with them more seriously, not because I have anything to prove, but because having them there makes it more fun, especially being the only chick in the group... physcially the…
  • It could be your brain not being caught up to a degree too. I say this because when I look at my legs (thinghs and calves) I feel like they are still stocky... muscular, but stocky. My daughter came home the other evening and I was in my night shirt. I had come out of my room for only a moment and hadn't bothered to toss…
  • Everyone on here is here to help and guide but only you are in control of what you do and what you put in your body. It IS hard to stay motivated sometimes, especially when there is a stall in loss. The imprtant thing to do is keep your eyes on the prize. By this I mean make yourself mini goals. At 10lbs give yourself a…
  • My mother and I were both over weight; she had a worse time with diabetes than I but we were noth on diabetes meds. Mom was convinced the surgery would cure her need for insulin and Metformin. In February of 2012 she had gastric bypass. In May of 2012 I started my life change which included a diabetic friendly meal plan…
  • Why don't you just go with her "to check" on things? You are the man, aren't you? Sort of your job. If she scoffs, do it anyway, whereby catching her in the act of her cheatery. Once her secret is out, tell her you love her, share the pizza with her, and go to bed. Tomorrow is a new day to encourage her to make better…
  • WHAT?! How did I miss this Jana? This is cause for celebration! Get Rocky the Wondermutt up and do a dance with him...
  • I thought I was going to be stuck at 201.1 for the rest of my life when I was on the brink of getting to Onederland... stick with it. Once you fall below that line it will just melt away again :)
  • Congratuations! Feels fantastic doesn't it? :glasses:
  • Don't get down about slight gains... they happen even when you are still losing. "Swoosh" effect is only visible to us, once it is lost weight, those who know us can't tell the slight gains, but they sure do notice the losses :) (Well, some, others notice and say nothing, some may not notice because they didn't see you as…
  • NOt just Dr. Oz though. I literally had to find a new endocrinologist because my former had been pushing me since after my thyroid surgery to go on the HCG diet. Told me how safe it was and the success of some of his patients. After the first time he mentioned it, I went home and researched. Next time I saw him he was…
  • For a frozen treat you could gwt the popsickle sticks and just freeze the yogurg container (s) with it in the center. Samebidea only easier to bbq pass off as ice cream
  • Why risk it? use both and some of Dr. Oz's recommended colon cleanse. That should help. But only if you use them together... right now!
  • The answer to egerything is pie
  • might have to go shave it off now
  • I do not log my food all of the time. I do try but homemade meals are harder and I use the time to spend with my hubs. Sometimes I will complete the entries, most times I don't. I use it as a general guideline and tool. If I stay below, great; if not, I have little doubt where I shouldn't have indulged. It's like using…
  • My hair is thick and really long as well (below bra band when left down, in a pony the tips reach the top of the band). I Was tossing around the idea of cutting some length off until my girlfriend asked me to stand up in her wedding.... So before making any decisions I decided I should at least consider her impending…
  • For starters... carbs and sodium, then there is the high amount of fat from the cheese, which isn't counting the other fats from any additional meat toppings... Not the most unhealthy, but not a good choice as a "typical" meal.
  • I know this phenommina as well. Feeling gross, lathargic, and bloated... keeps me from eating some of those foods now. I would rather not have to worry about feeling gross. Not that I don't EVER, but it is a lot easier to pass up temptations when you know the chances of feeling disgusting are pretty good.
