So I don't have HS, but I do know that giving up foods that you have a sensitivity to can help skin conditions. I tested as highly sensitive to dairy. I'm not like anaphylaxis allergic, but I get headaches from it, have digestive issues and my skin breaks out badly within 24 hours. And it's deep cystic acne. My skin is…

Birth control itself doesn't generally cause weight gain. Instead it might cause you to retain fluid, or have an increased appetite. Which obviously leads to weight gain if you eat more. But if you haven't increased your calories, you're probably just retaining water.

I'm eating 1200 calories a day. It's not hard once you get used to it and learn to "spend" those calories wisely. I don't usually eat fast food, not because there's anything wrong with it, but because I don't have the calorie allowance for it. I know how much food I can fit in my calorie allowance and what foods fill me up…

I weigh most mornings, but log on Mondays. I weigh after I shower too. For some reason, I lose like 1/2 a pound showering? lol

You can find an article out there saying every single food is bad for you. I really hope that ice is filtered, natural, organic spring water made from God's tears. Because normal water will kill you too.

Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon filet 1.5 oz bow tie pasta Broccoli One of my meal preps for the week. It was really good. And only 280 calories!

I mostly cut fast food out. I will have Panera every couple weeks, but usually just a salad/half sandwich. If I have to do fast food (forgot lunch), I'll do a small sandwich or burger, no mayo. Sadly I can't afford fries in my daily calories. It's REALLY hard to fit in an actual burger/fries into 1200 calories a day. I…

I do lean ground beef, and use sandwich thin buns usually. Occasionally I'll sub the bun with a grilled portobello mushroom. So good!

You can always bake and donate. I know a lot of women's shelters, soup kitchens, AA meeting type places would LOVE a few dozen bars or cookies. I thankfully work with 15 hungry guys at work, so I bake a ton and just take to work. Mint Chocolate cupcakes are happening this week for Saint Patrick's Day! :D

Totally possible. Get a food scale, log your food accurately and eat at a calorie deficit. MFP should tell you how many calories you should be eating a week once you put in your goals and activity level. Good luck!

I just look up the calorie count in everything and that usually makes me not want to eat it. Today someone brought Girl Scout cookies into work, and offered them to everyone. I looked up that 2 Girl Scout (Lemonades) cookies have 150 calories. Are those 2 cookies worth giving up a portion of my dinner later? Probably not.…

I try to get stuff at restaurants that I can be fairly accurate with logging. Chicken breast, salmon, etc. I just try to make an semi-accurate guess on ounces. I try not to get anything with breading because it's impossible to know what's in the breading. Is it 100 cals worth of breading or 400 cals? Also salad dressing on…

I fit into the same size jeans as I did 20 pounds heavier. They just fit and feel a lot better now.

You may also be missing something in your diet if you're tired all the time. I'm iron deficient (to the point where I can't donate blood) and I know when I forget my iron pills for a few days in a row, I feel very tired and don't have the energy to work out.

+1 about the weighing everything. I tested this with rice a couple weeks ago. The box said: 1/4 cup dry (48g) - so I took a measuring cup and put 1/4 cup on my scale. It was almost double the 48 grams on my scale. Weighing makes a huge difference. If I wouldn't have weighed it, I could have easily consumed 360 calories in…

I wish I had that problem. I could easily eat an avocado a day. Seriously, an avocado spread on toast is amazing. Or in eggs. Or salad. Or tacos. (Do you see a trend?) Also, could eat peanut butter by the spoonful. Almonds are amazing too. I get the coconut or chocolate flavored ones for a treat, but they're basically like…

Weight loss is one of those things that people don't do until they're ready. I've tried and failed to lose weight for someone else. I just ended up hating the other person for making me feel like I needed to lose weight. It took me committing to myself and wanting to get in shape for ME before anything actually stuck. I…

I've had good luck with Mederma Stretch Mark cream. I apply twice a day. It only really works on new stretch marks. Once they've gone from red to white, there's no getting rid of them. Mine are still there, but they've faded a ton. Worth a shot.

Echoing PP's, veggies and not fried. Broccoli beef, chicken and vegetables, etc. Stay away from rice/lo mein if you can. But beware of sodium water weight gain. Just don't do Chinese if your weigh in day is the next morning. My family does Chinese every Sunday, but my weigh day is Monday so I always skip. I'll gain at…

I just meant that I would be biting someone's head off if I went 16 hours straight without eating. It won't make a difference calorie wise, but I'd be starving all day. I get hangry.

Are you doing this for weight loss? Because your body doesn't care if you eat 0 calories for 16 hours, and 1200 calories in the next 8 hours. It all evens out anyway. Better not to deprive yourself and eat normally throughout the day. In regards to the workout, I always eat a little snack before I workout. It helps me…

You can eat anywhere as long as it fits your calories/macros. Yesterday I forgot to grab my prepped lunch, so I had a McChicken sandwich (no mayo) for 310 calories. Fast food is convenient and as long as you can fit it, who cares. I also do Panera pretty often. I preorder online, so I can just run in and grab it off the…

Crunches are cheaper, work better, and include bonus abs. :D

I usually meal prep on Sundays, and sometimes I'll make 8 days of freezer meals at a time for lunches. I have the rectangular glass 3 cup Pyrex containers that are freezable/microwavable. I weigh everything raw and then bake it all at once and portion it. I buy bulk chicken breast from Sam's Club to save money, but…

I'm a big bread person, so I attempt to get low calorie bread as much as I can. I do the 100 Cal Sandwich thins, or the 60 calorie Tumaros wraps. If I'm doing toast for breakfast, I prefer Ezekiel bread. I just hate eating 2 pieces of bread that are 180 calories for a small sandwich. I feel like that's just a waste of…

I joined the Ymca because of the no commitment. Anytime Fitness gave me a 2 minute tour and then the manager asked, "So do you want to sign up for 1 year or 2 years? And I need to know by tonight or the price goes up 8 dollars a month tomorrow." Ugh, I wasn't 100% sure on joining a gym, and that just terrified me. The Y is…

Not saying I wouldn't rather have a Caramel Frappuchino with extra caramel sauce, but yikes... the calories.
-
I just do a Grande brewed coffee with sugar free caramel syrup from Starbucks. I think it's like 5 calories for the coffee? The syrup has 0 cals. It's really good iced too.

Nevermind, just saw BB Guns don't count. ;)

I purposely scheduled weigh day on Monday morning, so I have to be good on the weekend. It keeps me honest... but it does kind of suck.
