Wearing a pair of jeans that were previously too small, my old faves are consigned to the bin as they are too baggy, and being able to complete burpees in class today. My fitness levels are definitely improving :)

I thought it would be better to never eat my exercise calories back, as I wanted results, but I like high impact body combat plus brisk walking and thats a lot of extra calories. I am eating more now (averaging 1500 after exercise or below if not) and while this isnt ALL my workout calories I feel better and I am still…

I am here because I am 38 and my 40th is looming. I want to be fit and forty! So yes I think its achievable and some of the fittest women in my classes at the gym are 40+.

I thought it was! The nearest thing I could find in the mfp database was strength training, 60 minutes and it came up with 289. I use the yellow kettle bell but its pretty non stop for an hour!

I did feel very hungry just before my dinner but quickly felt full so I am still getting hunger signals. On a day where I walk the dog for an hour and go to a high impact body combat class I cant even begin to eat all those calories back. Today was just a short dog walk though. Surely any activity that increases the heart rate is good and should be commended not criticised!

I dont know about the maths but I can break a pretty good sweat hoovering the whole house/mopping the floors and changing beds. A light clean I dont log but a good clean counts! I am always under my calories so I dont think any exercise = lots more food.

Oh and skimmed milk. I save enough for a cup of warm skimmed milk before bed but I never drank it before I started cutting down!

cottage cheese with pineapple, eggs, shreddies, prawns and chicken.

Thanks everyone! My husband said exactly that - he is less likely to notice because he sees me all the time. Ideally I would like to lose 3 stone altogether - well, 2 and a half now! :)
