  • OK--I did Day 1 this morning--it is REALLY different than anything I've done for a long time! I found myself moving MUCH too quickly and it's going to be a challenge just to slow down and concentrate on the movement. My brain is going to be working as hard as my biceps. It's a totally different mindset from Jillian's…
  • Hello!! I wanted to get a bit more organized to start things off, but it's just not going to happen, so this is what I was thinking: While many/most of us are starting tomorrow, there are a nice mix of members who are at various points along the series so for this week, why don't we do this: Tell us what part you are up…
  • If I haven't responded to you, sorry--getting ready to go away for the weekend. I'll friend you all and I'll get everyone together. To all CHX'ers--I won't be around until Sun evening, but I'll go through the posts and collect everyone's name and put the first week's challenge up (and I realize that many of you have…
  • These are all such great suggestions--thanks! I just started listening to the motivational CD in the car and my 11 yr old son was listening with me and he's decided that he wants to do the program with me!! How cute is that?? We'll see just how long he lasts, but he is pretty determined. At least I won't have to feel like…
  • welcome amberaz! are you going to be going the group? and I've heard about the CLX/turbo hybrid but I don't know what it is---can you explain it? Thanks.
  • Maybe you could copy exactly what you just wrote, hand it to the trainer, tell him you'd like to discuss it, give him a couple of minutes and then ask to start again from the beginning. I would also ask to return the items. Lastly, if he still doesn't/can't listen to you, ask for your money back and find another one. Good…
  • Coming in a little late to the game, but I appreciate being allowed to join. I'm currently in another challenge group, but it ends in June and I know I'll need to get through the rest of the summer. I'll fill in the details tomorrow, but I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of the group members. Thanks again!
  • welcome Jenyfur1 and greyhoundluv I can't wait to get started, and in the meantime, please post whatever and whenever you wish--I know I'll be interested. Thanks so much.
  • Thanks for all the wonderful info! I think that measurements and weight (lost hopefully) would be good to track and report. Then maybe we can add mini-challenges in like extra cardio or stretch or things like that. I am in one challenge and someone included an emotional challenge and it was an amazing experience!! I'm…
  • dried fruit nut butters homemade baked goods (can make lots and freeze them): like energy bars/ muffins/ quick breads--add the healthy stuff in hummus whole grain crackers/ chips/ and such hmmmm, that's all I can think of for now--mostly I try to find LOW cal/pure foods :) Good luck!
  • randa--it's a DVD series from Beach Body--you can go to their website to check it out. I haven't done it before so I can't comment personally but it looks awesome! redness--how familiar with the program are you? I'm not at all, so I feel hesitant to suggest a specific goal it was more of a group that reports in, compares…

  • I have the same issue--but I'm at home so I have access to food all day! One thing I found that really helps is hot tea--there are all different flavors and there are herbal diet teas. I'll also be checking this out for suggestions for me---thanks for posting it.
  • if you google cracker barrel nutrition, the LiveStrong website lists many (if not most) of the nutritional info. Regardless--Happy Mother's Day and enjoy yourself!!!
  • Keeping up with last week's challenge--water and 30 mins of exercise--this week's--not so much. I didn't eat out, but I sure ate ALOT at home and I did yoga, no strength. Basically, today sucked! It will be a relief to go to sleep and wake up to start yet again.
  • I've had 5 knee surgeries so far--the first one when I was 24, the last about 15 months ago (I'm 44)--and I expect that I will be having a couple more before the eventual knee replacement. I used to do triathalons, I used to ski (which was how I hurt myself), I used to be thin. After I had the 1st knee surgery, I never…
  • Hi, Didn't see my name on the list--maybe I forgot the original weight... Anyway, my starting weight was 158 Tuesday weigh in was 156 Loss of 2 whole wonderful pounds!!!! Well, they were wonderful to lose, not to keep....
  • LOVED The Hunger Games!!!!---Notice my MFP name??? Her other series--Gregor the Overlander--is also really fun to read. I have an 11 yr old son and we listen to tons of audiobooks so, at the tender age of 44, I'm totally up on the Young Adult book scene. Totally different than when I was a kid.
  • Meal #2 in first day of challenge--lunch at Wegman's!! Well, at least it was sushi...The not eating out challenge is just not going to happen for me--but I liked the idea of simply changing it slightly to avoid the worst food offenders (and yet brunch on Mother's Day is already is already beckoning--and who wants just eggs…
  • Good morning!! Drum roll please...... Lost 2 pounds!!!!! So excited 'cause this I broke a 2 month plateau! This challenge has really helped shake things up and get me going again.
  • Wow--all food at home!! I'd better get shopping... This is actually going to be rough since I already have several things going on that involve meals (isn't it amazing how often people get together and eat?), but this isn't about being perfect, just trying to improve! Thanks for the new challenge. I can't wait to see my…
  • Happy Monday! I haven't been very present in this group so far--I intend to rectify that!! Like all of us, just so much to do and not enough time.... I had a good weekend (although did have pizza last night--like so many others here, pizza is my total weakness!!)--got LOTS of exercise and drank more than the water…
  • So far, this has been a wonderful weekend for me--lots of water, lots of exercise. This challenge is really good for me--it helps keep me on track. I love the idea of reminding myself that there will be yummy foods around--I just have a hard time with "homemade" stuff--like at parties--I feel as though I won't have the…
  • I met the exercise and water challenge yesterday--but I am eating so much! Went out to dinner with my friend--it was Thai food and I didn't even know how to start to log it--then we shared a brownie--then I can home and binged. I'm getting discouraged. My determination and motivation are flagging and I make all these…
  • I got my 10 glasses of water in already--I'm trying to do it earlier in the day so I don't have to get out of bed 4 times at night! I'm using the rubber band method that someone mentioned--I have 5 rubber bands on my left wrist and then as I drink a glass I move a band to the right hand until I have all 5 over there and…
  • Hey!! My birthday is June 26th as well!!! It will be the big 45 this year...I can remember when that seemed so old.... Anyway, got my 30 mins done this morning (elliptical), but I will be doing more later on (including my first day of Jillian Michaels--Ripped in 30, Level 3--I hear it's a killer!)
