So while you are shredding fat you can't address muscle building?

It's gone out of fashion but I like a high rep total body workout. To avoid being @ the gym for a very long time I pair up two exercises upper / lower body. Of course, I don't hog the equipment and just alternate over to whatever is available.

Totally agree with this... Also: 1. You could have been dehydrated (dark urine color is clear sign). 2. Sodium and electrolytes are essential for retaining water -- if you are deficient in these minerals you are more likely to be dehydrated as well. 3. Sodium (worth mentioning again) : Personal I like to use sea salt on my…

It's good to laugh about the noises in the gym! Today there was a girl who was being pretty loud but totally killing it on the deadlift (respect!! ) lol..

So let's say I can bench 405 for 4 reps. When I go to do the bench, the ego says put on 405 --I'm going to show everyone that I can "do this" / look at me type attitude. Sure enough, I warm up, work my way up, crank out the 405 and move on... What have I gained... not much especially if I do this all the time! I've really…

Hmm, if I have to fart I walk away from my workout area and pass by the treadmills to crop dust.

So crossfit makes you lose chest hair?
-
Oh! Well I would t say that I judge but on the rare occasion that I do cardio I can't help but observe the half reps and people working the weight and not the muscle.. sometimes it's amusing and other times I have to consider wait a second do I do that?
-
Haha! Obviously, my post is in jest... today I had to up the level of sound/headphones to escape the deathly moans that were being made by someone else "working" out

Much more of a fan of 5x5 then crossfit... crossfit can be great but all too often it's done sloppily at a high risk of injury https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qnjYyfkcaNI

Cross fit? There's merit to it and I do burpees, tire flips, etc but I'm not a fan of the "general" crossfit that I see espoused by some gyms..
-
I typically do very little cardio
-
I don't think it makes that big of a difference... I might do cardio once a week or so unless I am training for something like a spartan race
-
I would give it time and stay committed to the positive choices you are already making. One small suggestion would be to do your lifts first followed by your cardio. Also mix up your cardio-- try high intensity interval training ... walk past that same piece of equipment (cardio) and try another machine - the variation at…

With bacon. Actually, I make bacon & egg cupcakes... Very easy with a muffin tray :)

No Scalpel Vasectomy (NSV)? No thanks I've not had one nor do I intend to!

My tip - eat more good clean food with a higher edge on protein prior to the drinks. Then enjoy the drinks -- shots / hard stuff is better than thing(s) loaded with sugar. Seems effective and I've still cut weight successfully with that approach.

My tip for the elliptical is to stay away from it :)

I don't think you can really 'control' where fat is loss. The amount of fat you lose is based upon a bunch of factors already mentioned. However, I've had a great success in really leaning out my abdominal region with the following (in addition to eating right, etc) -- Starting off with a aerobic activity and then…

Workout + High # Carbs/Cals Rest + Lower Carbs/Cals & occasional cardio

Weight is a terrible feedback indicator of progress made. Typically, it lags behind actual progress and if you really think about it you don't care about the number (IE I would love to be 250lbs and ripped) - you really care about the appearance and fitting into perhaps slimmer clothing. I would instead focus in on your…

Despite how stupid the claim, the desire for an easy / "miracle" way to obtain ones weight loss goals is powerful. Powerful enough to make advertisements like this profitable.

Increase your fiber intake with something natural and good for you like Ground Golden Flax.

They are good and I have them occasionally. However, getting you fiber from a food source instead of a bar is better IMHO. No matter what you purchase there's extra junk in them..
