Awe... I just had a rush of memories!! My hubby & I lived in England for 4 years while he was in the US Air Force... I use to shop at Tesco all the time near Cambridgeshire! As for your shopping list... I only suggest stearing clear of their fresh raspberry donuts! WHOA those were my downfall back in the early 90's!! YUM!…

The more you eat real food, the more you'll crave real food!

Wow that sounds great! Never thought of adding avocado!!

I've used plain yogart (haven't tried the greek in tuna salad, but just might try it!!) with a little Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning mix with it. I also finely chop lots of celery, green onion & add frozen peas (that thaw by the time you eat it)... and it is absolutely DELISH!!

Honestly, I've been listening to Third Day & Kutless stuff lately... Third Day's "Who I Am" is my biggest motivating tune at the moment! :)

Welcome!! I have also been using the MFP app for the past few months, but really LOVE the interaction & support here on the site!

Above all else, enjoy yourself! We can be blissfully thankful that we're strong & healthy & able to run! (or at least, that's what I keep telling myself before each race!) Don't worry about how this race compares to the next... no two races are the same. There's course differences, weather, sleep issues, etc... all that…

P90X DOES work... but you have to hang in there! 90 days of tough workouts, 6-7 days a week is definitely a committment!

Yes I use Shakeology... no, I'm not a coach. I've been drinking Shakeology for over a year now... and do see the benefits of it. It's PRICY, but it's WORTH IT!! If you do commit to trying it, I highly suggest you try more than just a sample. Order a month's supply... give it a try DAILY so you'll be able to see the effects…

LMBO! This WAS tough... but I think we all needed it today! My three... 1. I have a darn good figure for a 41 yr old chick... nice curves & pretty flat tummy, after a LOT of workouts & 50+lb loss over the past 7 years! 2. I have physical endurance & can hang with some pretty tough workouts... P90X, Turbo Fire, running hill…

I just RE-READ your post... I definitely think the HALF Marathon is possible!! Still, listen to that knee this weekend Honey!

May 29th is still weeks away... you would need to taper off your mileage by the 19th or so... there's still time to train. BUT, with that said, you do need to listen to your body... and if the 10K stresses your knee this weekend, rethink your "marathon race date" and register for another later in the year. Miles trained…

I've done P90X and Turbo Fire... I have many friends who are into Insanity & Asylum right now... and that seems to be what's HOT! It depends on what your personal goals are... but Insanity doesn't require any additional equipment (if that's an issue...) such as weights or pull-up bar, etc. I LOVE Turbo Fire... but it's…

I mostly use the app throughout the day... noting if I grab a bit of this or that (like chips & salsa last night while I was cooking dinner!!) I'm pretty good about keeping track Mon-Fri, but tend to fall of the wagon on the weekends. I'm human... it's okay. I'm still getting a GREAT idea of my nutrition and fitness…

Well said! You can pull it up under "Strength Training" in the MFP Exercise Database... enter your weight and it will give you a nominal number of calories possibly burned... BUT... that is definitely dependent upon the effort involved. :)

WELCOME!! You've found a great place for support, feedback, ideas, recipes, venue to VENT & share... You'll love it here! :)

I was sadly disappointed too, when I tried Greek Yogurt for the first time. The protein amt is awesome for the serving size. I ended up tossing it into a "Shakeology" shake for the added protein, and it was perfectly yummy! Still don't think I can bring myself to eat Greek yogurt by the spoonfulls... nomatter how much…

The friend that I train regularly with (for half & full marathons) ended up in a boot for a while due to an injury similar to yours. She did train some on her bike... but found that core & power pilates and yoga helped her a great deal!

This is a great place for motivation Honey!! Welcome back!! :flowerforyou:

I really believe the more healthy food choices we make... as well as informed choices... the desire for unhealthier choices (no matter the restaurant or source) will become less & less. I remember a day when I craved McD's fries & Big Mac... but after making so many changes to my diet, if I DO have an occasion where I…

I'll join in, as well... I'm a little "late" huh? :flowerforyou: I guess for everyone's FYI... I was hovering a little over 200lbs in 2003. I began my weight loss journey then... and made lots & lots of changes. So, since I've been using myfitnesspal this year (2011), my weight has been bouncing back & forth between…
