  • Not vile at all if you try MIDs pasta sauces. Made in Navarre, Ohio (a hour south of me) in small batches. This stuff, especially the sausage or meat are excellent.
  • Yeah...that and BBQ sauce. Then it's no longer pizza.
  • It's not a given thing to gain weight. You can keep your system metabolism up with a bit of exercise or walking Don't substitute eating for smoking. You have total control over the situation. The day I signed into MFP was the same day I quit smoking and it not impede my progress in any way. You can do both at the same time…
  • There were two signs that were the beacon of light for me. Both will sound trivial in comparison tho the many hear with health related goals. There is a stretch of road I drive over every day going home from work. It's a bit bumpy and when I started noticing my tummy and man boobs bouncing too much it was a call to…
  • Oranges Carrots dipped in Italian salad dressing Popcorn Fruit roll ups I will also save up some room so at the end of the day I can have some chips or a piece of candy.
  • The jury is in, I like the Fitbit blaze .i replaced the band with a few aftermarket ones that are much nicer and easier to use than the icky rubber one that came with the blaze. I do like watching the steps increase and it does occasionally motivate me. The sleep function and a few others I really don't use yet. I can fool…
  • Very saddened by the news. Did a little musical tribute last night to him with a 4 song medley of his hits. Audience not terribly receptive since it was a country crowd, but w e didn't care...it needed to be done.
  • Chicken ...boneless/ skinless Salad fixins Broccoli
  • Here is a perfect example. I checked and had about 4,000 steps prior to 8:00 pm. After a 4 hour show I registered 24,000 steps. Granted, feet and arms moving at a steady pace and heart rate definitely elevated. For sure it was a good cardio experience... but not equal to 20,000 paces. Calories on the Fitbit registered over…
  • I too get confused by the fit bit calorie thingy. I think it is giving you total calories burned to date, not only for the treadmill but for everything including breathing, walking starting at midnight. I think if you read the calories on the Fitbit before and after the treadmill time the difference may be close to the MFP…
  • Nissan Pathfinder hits every point you mentioned !
  • I have one (Craigslist special) and I use it a few times a week. I like it since it's low impact and I have neck problems It's hard to outgrow since there is so much adjustment you can make with the incline.
  • I don't really trust the fit bits accuracy. After practicing drums tonight I realize it registers a step every time I use the pedals Got in about 5000 steps this evening LOL !
  • Didn't care for the halo top, tasted very chemically. Won't rush out and buy it again. But, 1/2 cup s'mores and 1 tbsp Hershey's chocolate syrup made it pretty nice of a little 100 calorie snack.
  • I used to have hair to the middle of my back....that was back in the 70's in my hippy days. Now I'm just happy I have hair !
  • I have English laundry shirts...does that count ?

  • I did both quits on the same day Started logging and put on a patch the same morning. It's a matter of will power and mental strength. If you don't add food you WONT gain extra weight. The smoking urge will subside in a few days, you will get used to logging your meals and you will be a winner at both. You can do this and…
  • Since I'm prone to leg cramps from lack of potassium.....
  • I've eaten salads almost daily since I was a kid. I like the taste and the crunch. Nothing too fancy but I do add grilled chicken or pepperoni to the salad to boost the appeal a bit. For me it's a low calorie filling item that I enjoy. Easy to prepare or pack for lunch and minimal clean up of dishes involved.
  • I don't think it's safe or realistic to even try that much so soon. I'm not implying that it can't be done but that's like 6 lbs a week. It would take serious starvation and exercise to do that. Us old dudes have a hard enough time dropping a little. I do a funny little old guy dance each time I drop a few pounds. I set my…

  • I wish I could better understand your situation, unfortunately I can't relate to the surgery other than as a unwilling participant. My wife had GB surgery years ago by one of the top in the nation. She has lost over 150 lbs and kept it off for at least over 10 years. A tummy tuck and a few little cosmetic fixer uppers…
  • Keep us posted on what she has to say M
  • All points well made. I too have a jeckle and Hyde personality. All day I do great stashing away my calories and awaiting the sun to go down so I can gobble up my left over calories. T.V. goes on, and the snacks flow. Granted, I stay within the daily limits and have continued to lose weight according to my plan. But here…
  • Looks good to me and I'm the pickiest eater around
  • Stir fry chicken with onion, broccoli and hot peppers served over rice. With spicy sauce. 350 calories
  • Exactly, after it pops and as your pouring it from the bag, give it a quick spray of Pam or similar butter flavored cooking spray. It adds some flavor, and gives it a bit of tackiness so salt or flavored seasonings will stick better. I think I may try the garlic salt next, that sounds great to me. When using the paper bag,…
  • Great going ! The day I started logging on MFP is the same day I stopped smoking. This way I only have 1 date to remember. It's been a bit over 2 months and not a single puff ....not a single gained pound. I used patches for a month. A bit tough since the wife smokes.
  • skinny pop dusted with dark chocolate....now that's something I would like !! Salad, oranges, grapefruit and broccoli are my healthy standards. Cereal, peanut butter and pita bread pizza are the less than perfect fillers.
  • Hate runny yolks...looks like yellow snot. Only way I'll ever order eggs in a restaurant is scrambled hard or as part of an omelet
