Congrats on reaching your goal!! I wish the low body fat % was true, but i still have a very good amount of belly fat. last i had it checked, my BF% was around 23. Which is pretty high. I know that I have added lean mass, i'm only 5'5" so i'm really trying to hit 125. yea i just started Month One of Insanity for the second…

i'm wondering the same... ive held out for a while on these and i think it migght be time to give in.

Sorry a little more info... I'm consistently around 20-30 grams of protein under my goal (around 90-100 g).. The only way I reach that number is if i have 3 scrambled eggs for breakfast, but lately, eating eggs has made me nauseous, so i've been avoiding them, especially on days that I have classes. i'm more concerned…

I have some ideas and some "rough drafts" but I am not sure how to post them on MFP. you can shoot me an email @ LDPSoftball@hotmail.com and I will send them over to you.

I only use the machines rather than the dumbells, barbells, etc. The machines make it easier because you have a specific motion, whereas with the bars, you have to make sure you are keeping proper form and technique, which can be harder for someone just starting out. There are a lot of different pictures, videos, etc that…

I know I know, that's what I get for posting from my phone.

i think a short one would be best too... how did you go about doing yours? did you find the info online or on MFP somewhere?

i understand what you are saying, i guess i shouldn't have used "normally" but rather as i have been eating since starting this lifestyle change. i won't lie i've slipped up now and then but i've always gone back to my healthy eating afterwards. i didnt mean "normal" as fast food, processed crap, sugars, sodas, etc. i…

i would go see an orthopedic doctor, especially since this has been going on for so long. a likely diagnosis for knee pain for a girl your age is PatelloFemoral Syndrome, but there can be many different causes or combination of causes, such as a tight muscle in your thigh, or weak muscles in your thigh, etc. The doctor can…

thanks for the review, i'll definitely look into it, i love kickboxing.

I know this is going to sound waaaay out of the ordinary, but it's what i do whenever i plateau and for the most part has worked... up your calorie intake and up your workouts. Yes, INCREASE how much you are eating... by around 200-300 calories. The trick is to not make those 200-300 calories junk food. For example, i'll…

Yea, that is a lot. but when you think about it, the heavy you are the quicker and easier it is to lose weight at first. Just like the Biggest Loser contestants who lose 8-10 pounds a week, that's basically what he did. 8lbs x 6 weeks = 48 pounds.

... i've been on every day since jan 1 except for one day... which wasn't really my fault because the internet was down in the morning and i was on a plane in the afternoon... so i missed one vacation day. damn that one day!!!!

grad student here, for Physical therapy. and i totally understand the situation. i started making sure to go to the gym and eat healthy a lot this semester, and my success has been great... and my grades have gone down. currently studying my *kitten* off for finals next week because i'm actually failing a class. actually…

loooove vitamin water... they had the "10 calorie" bottles for a while, which were actually 25 calories in the bottle (2.5 servings)... but now, they have the ZERO calorie bottles, 'cause they had to compete with SoBe... i liked some of the SoBe waters as well but the Vitamin Water XXX is my favorite by far.

i think you look amazing!! i am sure your best friend would be proud of you. i can't imagine the pain associated with your loss, but i can tell you have come a long way, and i am sure you can continue with your success!!

This may sound silly, but what kind of music do you like?? i'm very ecletic, everything from rock, hip hip, country, punk, 80s, oldies... seriously everything lol. I have a playlist of about 130 songs and i update it regularly but i still find myself getting bored. If you give me a genre i can probably give you some good…

The only thing I have to add to this discussion is that while it is great to be accurate with your calorie burn, a lot of it is also the nutrition. and the only way to be accurate with that is to 1. track it and 2. be honest with yourself while you track it. even with that... with all the measuring and weighing of food...…

i had that thought one day about the resting calories that ... then i figured that nothing is that exact anyway... everything is an estimate, from the calories in foods to the calories burned on the treadmill to resting calories... so i figure in the end, those calories balance themselves out.

Ireed, i've seen you on forums before, so i know you know why you are supposed to be eating your exercise calories... perhaps you aren't eating enough calories. Recently, i have tried the "zig-zagging," and so far have seen results. Basically, I will eat +300 above my normal calories for 2-3 days.. then back down to my…

i like "removed" ... it sounds permanent and purposeful... "lost" sounds like it was an accident and you might find it again. congrats.

Hey everyone, soo I'm posting from vacation in Florida. I do not have a weigh in or goals for the week cause well I'm on vacation lol. But, I did weigh myself on the scale in the fitness room when I got here and put myself on maintenence calories, and so far that has been working. We have also been walking everywhere bc we…

i like it too... being that i had never jumped rope in my life, it took me a couple of sessions to get it... i still can't do it perfect every time, but the other day i made it to 50 jumps in a row a few times... started to hurt my legs a little bit though. i do the "girly jump" off of two feet. i was trying to do the…

i hope everyone has had a better weekend than i have. I've been sick and extremely tired all weekend, plus i have a ton of studying to do that just isn't getting done because i'm so worn out. And it stinks cause it's so beautiful out, i would love to go for a bike ride or rollerblading or something. I've been doing pretty…

BECAUSE IT'S MORE FUN!

i recently added jumping rope to my workout as well... so far i've done it 3-4 times, and i get better every time. i'm going on vacation next week and it's going to be so easy to throw my jumprope in a suitcase and take it with me for a quick workout.

have you tried measuring, rather than weighing?? maybe you are losing inches, gaining muscle? i also agree with all the above suggestions.

can't give MFP all the credit, and i think that is what is awesome about it. Yes MFP keeps you accountable, and helps to show you how much you should be eating and track it, how much exercise, there's the motivational aspect etc. But YOU actually put in all the work, MFP just keeps track of it. And shows you have far you…
