if it's a weekly thing, you need to plan around. make the usual plus a couple healthy options (chopped fruit, green salad..). Maybe do more potluck style so you aren't making all the unhealthy food all weekend beforehand.

I love the misfit flash. I went with it because it's waterproof, tracks swimming and cycling (both of which I do) and syncs really well with MFP. I got mine on ebay for half off ~$25 including shipping.

I follow all of these. Meat, fish, produce.. only buy whats on sale. I go to 2-3 grocery stores and buy only the sale stuff. Have a list of staples that you stock up on anytime they are on sale (oatmeal, lentils, rice, evoo). And learn over time what the lowest sale price of those times are.. Also, are you eating out? I…

Think of it this way: now you know what to do and that the tried/true methods of mfp works! Also, 2 years of maintenance is something should be very proud of. I've done this rodeo a couple times. While this is the most health-focused approach out of all the other attempts, it's also the most time I've ever devoted to…

I just can't justify drinking my calories - it's just not worth it, I love food too much lol. I stick to water, unsweetened tea, coffee (on occasion with a splash of skim milk) though usually black. Diet soda is a treat. Once in a blue moon, I'll meet a friend at starbucks and get a fancy drink and chat. It's less cals and…

Not really recipes but here's what I like to eat: Oatmeal (overnight or hot), cottage cheese, greek yogurt, canned soup (just watch out for sodium content). Canned tuna

Awesome job! Keep up the great work. Photos LOOK AMAZING!

I am gonna LOVE this thread! Salads, I like a half arrugala/half spinach mix, romaine is good too - it lasts longer if you can't eat it as fast, add fruit (oranges, strawberries, apples, pears, grapes), add crunch (cucumbers, peppers, snap peas), a seed/nut or a dried fruit, and protein (cheese, cooked chicken, shrimp or…

Pick a vegetable dish you like and google healthier versions of it (roasted instead of creamed green beans), ect.

Oatmeal, eggs (can hardboil dozen for the week), cottage cheese + fruit.

HUGE difference! You look great. keep going..!

You look great!!! Thats a totally different tummy. Great job.

I too love really milky coffee. Have you tried more gourmet/low acidity coffee. I recently switched from cheap stuff at the grocery store to local roasted/craft coffee. I noticed that it tastes smoother/better on it's own and I don't have nearly as much milk with it as I used to

low fat cottage cheese + fruit, tons of protein. keeps me full for hours. Also like oatmeal

Add me too -- Let's support each other :)

Great tips. Agree and try to do most. One more thing -- avoid waste and freeze/cook any foods that will go bad before you can eat them. Before vacations, I try to chop up any fresh fruit and freeze for smoothies, any leftover veggies or meats for soups. Or make my own frozen dinners by combining the stuff I already paid…

it continues to be hard work, man... Nothing's just "falling" off of me here. I have to whack it down and stomp its head with the biggest stick on a consistent basis [/quote] SO TRUE! I couldn't have said it better!

I'm in! I could use some extra accountability. How are you doing the countdown on your phone?

Completely agree with the posts above! I got a cheap craiglist eliptical which I love and use about 4x per week. If I dont have time to do a full workout, I'll sometimes do just 10 or 15 minutes. I'd be driving to the gym longer than that! The only issue is space - I have a tiny apartment and would love to add a treadmil…

I try to eat healthy. Minimally processed food, cooking from scratch. Feel free to add me if you want! We're about the same age

Look so good. Can't wait to try. :)

I had the same revelation yesterday as I logged my latkes from a little Thanksgivingukkah bash we had. Sadly, all the traditional Jewish holiday foods are far from ideal for losing weight. But.. you know what -- who cares!?! It's delish. Comes once a year. And it's the miracle of oil-- so no baking the latkes! And it's…

I love that quote *feeling inspired*

yum! will try :)

Feel free to add me :) Let's get through holiday diet traps together!

I'm looking for friends and a bit of accountability too :) I've been on mfp for a few months on and off. And I'd love to have a community that keeps me on track. For me, I generally eat pretty well and lead a naturally somewhat active lifestyle (walk a lot, nice perk to city living). I notice that my new group of friends…
