  • yea, i was agreeing. LOL i don't think i made my point very well. i was just saying that i noticed it didn't help me with weight loss, but did help in other areas.
  • say nothing. she will do it her way, when she is ready. just be there to support her decisions. unless she SPECIFICALLY asks you for advice, i would keep my mouth shut.
  • i did a gluten-free and dairy-free diet over a year ago in response to some infertility issues that were of no relevance to my weight. after being on this "diet" for a very short amount of time, i lost 17 lbs. did ZERO exercise. after i regained a normal eating lifestyle that included dairy and a bit of gluten, i then…
  • i don't know you but i wanted to send HUGE congrats to you! we tried for many years before conceiving, so i know how exciting it is to finally see that positive!!! i gained an enormous amount of weight with my last pregnancy, and mostly it was from being on bedrest for a lot of the time and couldn't exercise and…
  • scrambled egg, turkey sausage, cheese, wheat cereal with milk + juice. i was super hungry! and i was just about to work-out.
  • i'm not 20 anymore, i'm 41 and no insult to anyone, but i would MUCH rather be 41 than 20!!!! my life is 100x better. i look and feel aMAZING and i'm in WAAYYY better shape than when i was 20, even though i weigh about 10 lbs heavier now. i go to the gym and work-out for ME. i LOVE the way i feel after, and i have more…
  • wow - amazing.
  • i want to look the way i feel in my mind - very strong!
  • men don't know better (sorry guys) MOST of the time, they have no clue what to say. women tend to go on autopilot and answer "you look fantastic, don't change a thing!" as a go-to response if a friend asks us how she looks. personally, i did not ask my husband ANYTHING about how i looked until i had lost the bulk of my…
  • ^^ i totally agree with this!!!
  • i was down to needing to lose my last 8 lbs and i FINALLY broke my 3+ month plateau. i increased DRASTICALLY my protein intake (i am eating about 125g of protein per day) and CUT carbs. i still eat "good" carbs, but i have eliminated the bad ones altogether. i dont' count calories or fat anymore, and since i started this…
  • dont' ask if you don't want to hear it! LOL he probably thinks "maybe" since he's heard you talking about it yourself.
  • calcium potassium and iron can be found in a multi-vitamin, and you can even get your dr to prescribe a really good and high-absorbing one. eating leafy greens is great b/c they are high in everything, and eat along with vitamin C to promote absorption (such as orange juice) nuts & legumes are great, again alongside OJ.…
  • i was eating light but now eat around 500 cal for breakfast, mostly protein with some complex carbs. before i work-out.
  • no i don't. has nothing to do with modesty (i'm not modest at all) i just think it's disgusting to shower in a public place. i will barely shower at someone else's home. LOL i just go home sweaty and shower there.
  • i eat a protein bar on the way to my car after i work-out. i'm STARVING.
  • i eat at least 125. nothing wrong with it.
  • yes i have noticed the same thing. i have had to resort to TONS of shaving cream and finding the smallest razor possible. waxing is a good option, too.
  • about 30 min before i go to sleep.
  • i didn't stop drinking at first, but after hitting a 3month plateau, i stopped drinking completely. i won't drink again until i hit my goal weight. i lost 1 lb in the week i stopped drinking. moving past my plateau is way more important than drinking. it has been difficult, but i know the rewards are huge!
  • i dont' know if it's true. but for me, i have noticed a HUGE change in the amount i can eat since i lost my weight. i used to eat large amounts of food and now i can't. it seems true for me. even to this day, i will make my plate at dinner, eat half, and say, "why did i get this much?" i'll be totally full at half-way and…
  • just stop! LOL for me, it was a matter of reading, watching t.v., going on a walk, taking a shower, or doing something else. i was also put on a very strict eating routine by my dr (eating every 3 hours) so that has helped, b/c i know if i can wait just a bit, i can eat a small meal. if i want to snack, i drink a glass of…
  • the word "diet" to me means a way of eating. so your "diet" might be healthy vs. unhealthy. someone's "diet" might include lots of veggies vs. lots of candy. my mom uses the term "diet" to mean a way of losing weight. she has been on a diet my entire life and it would drive me crazy as a child to watch her deprive herself…
  • i weigh in the mornings, after i have been awake for about 15 min. i dont' know why, but that's how i started so i stuck with it.
  • that sounds really yummy!
  • i have read the back labels of every protein bar in the world and the Pure is the only one i can find that has the protein i need with the lowest amount of carbs & sugar. i LOVE them. they are like candy to me. i eat about 4 per week, after i work-out.
  • also i wanted to note that i DO NOT add calories or fat daily. i simply try to reach my protein goal, and lower/eliminate carbs. i might have to start counting calories again one day, but as for right now, this is working for me.
  • i have been doing high-protein and low carb for the past week (or more??) can't remember but doing FANTASTIC on it and LOVE IT! it truly has changed things for me. i still eat carbs, but go for the "good" carbs, which would be example banana, green beans, etc. and avoiding altogether cake, pie, tortillas, bread, crackers,…
  • i think i gained weight b/c i was starving all the time and i would drink juice, etc. (i used broths and protein shakes, too) in place of food and i drank way more calories than when i ate food. the first day was easy, but after that, it was horrible and i had headaches and was weak. i think some people have very good…
