  • my dad is from south Louisiana (lake Charles & south lake), our favorite local dish is boudin. it's THE BEST, taken out of skin and spread onto white bread. YUM! "...sausage made of pork & Pork liver and heart meat are typically included. In Cajun versions, the sausage is made from a pork rice dressing (much like dirty…
  • no sorry I don't but good luck
  • under armour and nike. sometimes I would wear two. (I was a 42DDD)
  • I think it depends on whether or not that is in your normal routine. for me right now, being on my feet for 2-3 hours is out of the norm b/c I just had surgery, so I would log it. but before my surgery, I was on my feet for 6 hours a day and so shopping would just be considered normal activity so I wouldn't have logged it.…
  • bread & butter with cheese & wine. HEAVENLY. but my biggest indulgence is cheeseburgers. I could eat them every day (and I used to, which is why I weighed so much!)
  • everyone seems to be on the same page. :) thanks so much
  • I hadn't thought about possible depression. but i'm sure that has something to do with it, too, since depression is chemical. thanks. luckily i don't eat when i'm upset. :)
  • thanks to everyone who replied so far. this is my 4th m/c but the other times, i wasn't trying to lose the weight so i don't really remember how my body reacted. i appreciate everyone's input and i'm sorry for anyone else who has gone through losing a pregnancy. it's been a very difficult few months. i just wish i could…
  • to lose 20, it took 3 1/2 months. sorry i felt like i didn't answer your original question, i just told how long it took to lose what i've lost so far.
  • i don't think juice is a requirement nutritionally. eating fruit is much better than juice b/c it has fiber. eat an apple with a glass of water instead of apple juice. eat a handful of grapes instead of grapejuice. etc.
  • i am not sure, maybe you should call your dr? or go to a medical supply store, you can buy little strips to test your urine to make sure it's normal range and you're not spilling ketones. good luck, sorry can't think of anything else.
  • it took 7 months for me to lose 43 pounds. i joined a gym and cut-out unhealthy foods, cut calories down to around 1100-1400/day. i work-out 5/6 days per week.
  • i feel horrible if i miss a day. one day my daughter was sick and i couldnt go to the gym. felt mentally drained! i wouldn't call it guilt, but i don't feel "right" unless i work-out or exercise!
  • i don't agree. i dont' want to be told how beautiful i am unless my husband really believes it to be true. i don't want to hear all the fluffy stuff all the time. maybe some women do, but i prefer honesty, even if it hurts a bit. in the end, i WILL BE more beautiful (inside and out) if i get support and not have sunshine…
  • last year my husband said those words, although it was put a little differently, he said, "i joined a gym today on my lunch break, go up to the location near our house and you join, too." i was hurt of course, but knew he was right. i'm now down 43 pounds and feel amazing- best shape of my life at age 41. i am thankful he…
  • i actually did have one final huge meal before i started at the gym and began my heatlhy eating. huge steak with wine and all the 'trimmings' plus a large slice of chocolate cake. a year later (and minus 43 pounds!) i had another steak with my hubby on our anniversary. i still induldge every now and then, but not to the…
  • Krisper Shady
  • we had only gotten as far as the gas station, stopped to get gas in his car before the date. he leaned-in to what i THOUGHT was going to be a kiss...he head-butted me. HARD. i got out while he went to pay for the gas inside (this was circa 1986) and i walked home and never saw or spoke to him again.
  • we moved-in together 7 months after we met. we got engaged 6 months later. we got married 8 months after that. so total, we were together for 1 year and 9 months before we got married. we were 21 when we got married. that was 20 years ago
  • if i'm a cardio-only day, i do not eat. if i use weights and "work-out" then i eat a huge protein-filled breakfast. no matter what, i ALWAYS eat directly after the gym. (usually in the car on the way home! protein bar or shake)
  • i was just reading on MFP about I.F. and it was recommended to have 10g before working out, just didn't really know much about it

  • i was just doing some reading and bottles were very clear on not using if pregnant nursing or might become pregnant, just making sure this wasn't something "dangerous" for women. i'm not pregnant or planning to become so, but just unsure of the warnings i read. thanks for info.

  • well i think i spend far less on being fit than what i was spending on being fat! not to mention long-term costs (health insurance, illnesses, meds, etc.) for being overweight would eventually add up. health food is a bit more expensive, but i eat less of it, and if i feel better overall, i think it's worth every penny!…
  • i drink muscle milk almost every day. you can see my weight loss below
  • yes i counted it when i drank. i stopped for a while to try to lose a bit more weight.
  • in one day i had donuts for breakfast, chili cheese fries & chili cheese dogs + a double cheeseburger & onion rings for lunch with SEVERAL cokes. that was by far my worst (or best?? LOL) day so far. didn't impact my weight loss at all.
  • better shoes lose weight soak in warm water ibuprofen
  • my 2 current dogs: chocolate lab = Maggie (short for Margaret Maegan of Black Forest; also called Maggie Mae) yellow lab = Gracie (short for Grace Marie) my first dog was a sheltie = Promise (short for Tomorrow's Promise of Pasadena); she passed away in 2004 i also had a dog (mutt) named Krisper. i have no idea where i got…
  • to keep from going mentally crazy. LOL it really is the only way for me to keep anxiety away.
