As I was scouring the interwebs for muscle milk nutrition facts, I saw a few websites saying that muscle milk is bad if you're trying to lose weight as it makes you GAIN weight. Is this true? Can it actually make me gain weight even though I'm meeting my calorie goal on the days that I drink it?

I'm all paranoid now!

as long as your eating below your TDEE you'll lose weight regardless of what your eating.

As long as you're within your caloric goal you're good to go.

I don't think this is necessarily true, not all calories are all created equal ....

with that said, I dont think muscle milk is that bad, it is relatively low in fat, carbs and sugar. I drink the Atkins protein shake usually every other day, they are a bit higher in fat than muscle milk, but lower in carbs and sugar which is what I am most worried about at the moment.

Laws of Thermodynamics always apply. If you consume fewer calories than you expend, you lose weight. Google the Laws of Thermodynamics for open systems (which we are, and yes there are laws of thermodynamics that cover open systems, not just closed systems.)

Me personally while using muscle I gained weight. For me it had to much sugar, fat and sodium. I switched to muscle milk lite and had better results. But to be completely safe I stay away from it all together. I stick to 100% whey or pro complex

Calories in calories out! No need to worry!!

However, if you ever want to try something new - dymatize elite whey protein isolate is freaking delicious - I switched from muscle milk to that and I don't regret it! Just throwing it out there if youre interested in trying something new even though there is no real need :)
