Is walking tiring, or painful? If painful, heck even if its not painful, get a recumbent stationary bike to get you started exercising...and then when your stamina is back a little bit, you'll want to add walking and/or the elliptical. The recumbent bike takes pressure off your back and allows you to still burn calories…

Wow, what an impressive article. Thanks for posting.

I'm probably not the first poster to say this, but to all the replies that say don't cut anything out and that it perfectly healthy if you just do it in moderation and if you exercise, well they're wrong. They're correct IF a person does not have metabolic syndrome/insulin resistance/diabetes. If you go to a doctor and you…

Barbara, your body cannot live without fats. A baby will not develop properly without fats. Of course there are healthy fats.

WetCoaster, thanks for that post. Mats, I don't understand why eggs, cheese and lettuce is on the red list. I have that everyday. Perhaps I'll try a few days without and see what happens...but I'm really curious about those restrictions for someone who is insulin resistant. How does protein and fat in an egg cause a rise…

Grim, I did state in my post that I think the surgery is the answer for some people, but not everyone. If your appetite is decreased, that's great. But there many people whose appetite returns after surgery and then they are in the same emotional state but with part of their body excised from them. As I also posted, don't…

Huge garden salad-4-6 cups, with slivered almonds, blackened chicken breast, and either red wine vinegar or blue cheese dressing...depending on what your calorie goal is. No fat GREEK yogurt--plenty of protein, very little carbs, low cal. Macerate fresh blueberries and or strawberries and add some pure stevia for…

Wow. You're an inspiration, man. Congratulations on your efforts.

The fact you learned is that there is no fact....how very zen buddhist. And how very correct.

The answer you hoped for is the answer you'll see and conclude from all these posts...... Eat 1200 calories of twinkies a day and let me know how much you lose. Every body is different. IF one does not have insulin resistance, then one may not be as sensitive to carbs. If however, one is very insulin resistant, then carbs…

Buy a couple of half sheet pans and criss crossed wire racks. On Sunday, coat the racks with olive oil spray, and lay strips of bacon across them from end to end. Put them in a pre heated 400 degree oven for 25-30 minutes depending on thick slice or not, and depending on how well done you like your bacon. After you let…

LMAO!!!! SAREYNOO that is the greatest craving-killer I've ever seen!!!

My go to is natural peanut butter on warm toasted Nature's Own Double Fiber bread--8 net grams of carbs, then with one teaspoon of Polaner's No Added sugar natural jelly. I also try to have on hand Breyer's Carb Smart chocolate ice cream---net 4 gr carbs per serving. Another sweet relief is taking fresh blueberries and or…

I eat 3-5 eggs at a minimum every day.

Can I start with .5 squats???????

I experienced the same thing. My weight loss doctor had me drink a cup of bouillon (for the sodium) and 20 minutes later I was back to normal. Hydration is important as the others stated. Your diary is not open so I can't comment on what you're eating or not eating.

Ditto.

It's a good thing you opened your diary; but you may not feel that way by tomorrow. If you are serious about wanting to lose weight and get healthier, the entries in your diary don't depict the road to that goal. I'm sure you are about to get a bunch of wisdom dropped on you.

1. You may be working our too much. 2. What is your bmi? 3. The weight you may not be able to lose may be muscle you have added since you work out daily.
-
You could try no more than 15 gr of COMPLEX carbs per meal-and always have protein; for a total of no more than 50 grams a day total.
-
Wow. Fantastic!

Tremendous, man. Way to go!

Check out something called Intermittent Fasting, or IF. It seems to work for a lot of people when they experience a plateau. There are plenty of threads on it here.

I have a 63% BMI. I'd like to not believe in it........

Stand for more than 1 minute without pain. Walk for 5 minutes without significant pain. Wear my pants with more comfort.

It's NOT per kg. One of the replies above was correct. It's roughly 1 gram per LEAN BODY WEIGHT. If you weigh 100 lbs and you have a BMI of 25%, that means you are 75% lean. And in this case you would have 75 pounds of lean body mass. Which would mean you should have roughly 75 grams of protein a day. If you are sedentary,…
