Dr Recommends Gastric Bypass over lifestyle
I'm seeing a weight loss doctor and my endocrinologist on a regular basis. Today I'm with my endo. He hasn't seen me in 6 months. After 3-4 minutes he says to me-and not in a compassionate voice-"So when are you going to just buckle down and get the surgery?" I was incensed. I had just told him I've lost 45 pounds. This is…

Testosterone loss
Well, back in September of 2011 I started this trip. I'm down 63lbs with a lot more to go, but I feel 1000 times better! I mentioned the fact i my previous blog that my weight loss Dr. did blood work on me and said my testosterone was the lowest she had ever seen. It was 90 back then. After 2 hours of not feeling better I decided it was low blood sugar and decided to break the no/low carb way. I ate 20 saltines and 2 slices of cheese. 15…

1st month results...26 lbs down!
1st month results.......26 lbs down! Today at my 4th week weigh in I met with my doctor and went over the numbers. I lost 26 lbs during my first month. I also have a readout of the BMI test. I went from 63% body fat down to 59%. I know those numbers don't look like a human could exist with that much body fat....but I do.…

405 lbs......need I say more?
At 405 lbs I HAVE to do something. So I started my Physician-assisted program again. Its Lipo injections, appetite suppressants, supplements and a low carb eating plan. Eating a smaller meal every 3 hrs and drinking lots of water are some of the key components. I know there are those of you who will tell me not to use…
