Oh now you had to go start the 1200 calorie thing. An 18 year old should NOT be eating that little. You are still growing, many men grow in height and size through about 22. Please see a professional to help you find a good nutritional plan.

I've looked through all your recent posts, and your eating seems pretty typical for a teenager. Your unhappiness with your body, your eating and your health is not. PLEASE talk to a trusted adult about this - not us strangers on a forum. Best of luck to you on a journey to a HAPPY place.

If you have a pool available, water aerobics classes are great. And try googling Chair exercises for many great programs. If your town has a senior center, they may have chair exercise classes as well.

My female trainer at the gym weighs 157. Believe me, she looks like Jillian, and could take Jillian down. Go with the measurements, not the scale.

A pound a week is not really that slow. It makes it much easier to keep it off when you lose it slow. Your skin also has a chance to tighten up. How do I know? 60 weeks of weight loss. Jeans from a 24 to a 14.

My 15 year old son runs 4:53 on a mile track run. 5:40 pace on a 5k - that's 17:36. He does train 5-6 days per week.

Birthday cake oreos. It's NOT the regular filling with sprinkles added - it's a different flavor! Ick! And chips ahoy - they are SO dry!

HIIT on the elliptical will work the thighs.
-
I started the elliptical at 2 minutes. Next day 4, then 6 etc. I can now do a 5K on it in 40 minutes. Same with the stairstepper. Just add a little each day. Also if your gym owns different elliptical machines. try them to see which works for your knees and hips the best. Good luck!

It's taken me 13 months. Took a peek at your diary - you are not logging much exercise, and are often eating under 1200 calories. You need to eat AT LEAST 1200, and find some exercise you can do, or actually like. Walking, extra flights of stairs, dancing or skating. If you can't join a gym, get a video to work out to. Or…

Why did I take the elliptical next to you? Well, I come every day, and in the row of 6, I know that the TV doesn't work on 1 and 3. Maybe you know that too? But that's why I got on next to you. And you two men who talk to each other for 30 minutes - one on the machine and one standing on the floor - go to the juice bar for…

OK, you're off to a good start. You've decided you want to change. Now you need a plan. The programs you bought will not do it FOR you, YOU must do the programs. Start by entering your information on this website. Then log what you eat for a few days. Don't even change what you normally eat - just log it honestly, and try…

I did my loss one pound at a time, one week at a time. Every time I predicted "I'll be at this weight by this date" I disappointed myself, s I don't do that anymore. The first 20 pounds I lost NO CLOTHING SIZES! But when spring came I stopped wearing 24 or 22 jeans - and in the fall I was in an 18. Now I'm in 16's and even…

You should be eating your exercise calories back. Your goals will be easier to achieve at 1-2 pounds lost per week. I'm at 1 year doing this, my average is one pound per week. Many weeks at 3 pounds, many (vacation weeks) at +1. Make this a lifestyle change, and when you are at your goal weight you will have new, good…

Gained 4 but lost 3 of those this week.

My husband sleeps with a mask. He was VERY opposed at first. He then decided to pretend he was Tom Cruise in Top Gun when he put it on. He has now done well with it for years, and we ALL sleep better.

I gave up after an hour of yoga and laid on the floor for the last 15 minutes. I ate crab dip at lunch AND a sandwich.

If you weighed more now, I would really believe you could lose 70. I started in January, set my goal per week at 1 1/2 pounds, logged my food, and hit the gym 4-6 times per week. My average loss is 1 pound per week. This resulted from vacations being gains rather than losses. If I had stuck to it more firmly, I could have…

It's not public.

Hi. A little peak at your diary shows that you are not logging your food or exercise. I also am guessing you set your weight loss at 2 pounds per week, giving you 1200 calories. I bet that number is really scaring you off. Try this - set it for 1, or 1 1/2 pounds per week. Start logging - everything that you can - for…

My 13 year old daughter is 5' 5", 104 pounds, and runs cross country. Her goal is to be FAST, not 100 pounds. For an adult, you are looking at an unrealistic goal - you can be either 100 pounds or a runner. Or I guess you could be 100 and a SLOW runner. Please see a doctor to set a realistic HEALTHY goal!

On 10/28 the OP said she "felt weird and spacy when she didn't eat enough" in a different post. Honey, you are going to get sick. Or faint on the treadmill. Listen to all these nice people, and EAT MORE. Losing weight is not a race. Set your goals on 1 or 1 1/2 pounds per week. Eat back your exercise calories. Why do I…

Your diary looks good - stick to it. I started at 254 in January - 1 1/4 pounds average lost per week. Good luck!
-
Oh, by the way - I'm 50, I have a bad back, and my mother died last December. Just get started!

This is a great web-site. YOU are not using it. You are not logging food. Oh yeah, I see you log some calorie burn occasionally. That's not how it works. I know it does work - I have lost an average of 1 1/4 pounds per week since January. I love chocolate - but 6 Brookside pomegranate drops will do it. Once in a while I…

Size 22 and 24 jeans to 14 or 16. AND a belt. 2x or 3x tops to 1x, lost a bra size AND an underwear size. And my rings are getting loose!

Pop-corners chips Pretzel thins and hummus Really good apple (like honey-crisp) sliced thin 100 calorie granola bars Brookside chocolate covered pomegranate - 6-12 pieces (well, not crunchy, but I was on a roll...)

Sweetie, you first posted 18 days ago. Same kind of question, same weight. What answer are you looking for? You said you were 19 years old. You should have lots of energy - go for a walk. Or a bike ride. Go to the mall when it opens on the weekends and walk FAST. Set up your calories on MFP. Eat within those calories. Eat…

It's taken me 9 months to lose 46 pounds. On the average, 1 1/4 pounds per week. Lots of weeks were up. I took me 16 years to gain this weight, I'm going to take 16 (or more) months to take it off. And then I expect to stay in control of myself for the rest of my life. So go ahead and quit - or take control of your life…

My husband started when I did. He's a big guy and he's lost 40 pounds. He does much better when he logs his own food. He will ask me to do it, but it's not effective. He goes to the gym and does treadmill and bike. He likes sugar-free jello in the evening instead of ice cream. Portion control is the most important thing.…
