Similar goals here, I started working out in January because I'm getting married in May. I also had a hard time scheduling but I just had to make it a priority. Luckily there is a gym 5 minutes from me that has evening classes, so I would be able to sneak off there for just an hour after work. But just an hour makes a…

I don't use HRM because i'm mostly taking classes, so i'm doing spin class, yoga, barre, kickboxing, and P.A.C.E. I have hinted at my husband to get me a fitbit though for this purpose. What I am guessing is happening is that MFP is overestimating how many calories I'm burning so I'm probably eating back too many. I'm…

I'm really struggling with this, i'm going to re-try and do the 1200 calorie thing again, but with 8 hours of exercise a week i can't tell how many calories i should be allowed to add back in, and MFP seems to grossly overestimate this. 4 months til my wedding and I haven't lost any weight :/

wow I am in an incredibly similar boat. I am also 4'11", i weigh 164 and i'm aiming for 135lbs. Also been working out about 8 hours a week and doing the 1200 calorie diet (although haven't been as successful with it). I get confused as to how many calories I should actually be eating given i'm working out. But like I said,…

I'm very short, 4'11", and I was given the 1200 calorie limit from MFP. I am working out, so I do add in the calories from working out, so it's 1200 net. I think eating "smart" is hard, I didn't realize just how many calories are in foods...it's really difficult to find enough food that fits into the net 1200 without only…

Hi there! Looks like we have quite a few things in common. I am also not new and haven't been around for a long time. I majored in history too and we've got similar interests in movies/colors haha. Anyhow, feel free to reach out to me. I'm looking for someone to go through this journey with together.

Thanks guys! And Kristen, that's a clever idea. I never thought of that with the mini goals. I will have to try some of that...right now mine is no fried foods.

Late night is when I tend to crave sweet things. I noticed that there are some good low calorie options. Like frozen grapes. Frozen yogurt (I don't mean ice cream, I mean making freeze pops out of chobani greek yogurt). In fact, Chobani has these new pouches (like gogurt) that are freezable and are only 50 calories each.…

thanks, i tried yoga thinking it would be helpful with sciatica but it was actually really painful lol worse than cardio because it seemed to really pull on the nerve. I may have just tried the 'wrong' yoga though.
