Do it! I met my husband on a ...kinkier... dating site. I'm shy, and it's difficult for me to meet people, so it worked for me fantastically.

Yep. One thing that helped me was taking long (10+ minutes), blisteringly cold showers. I only manage this in the summer, but they increase my cold tolerance a lot.

I weigh and log every day. I don't expect miracles. Some days my weight goes up, if I've eaten poorly the day before. I like watching the fluctuations and learning about my body. If I didn't weigh every day, I'd have a lot less information than I have now, after weeks of daily weigh ins. I've become very good at predicting…

If my husband wants something unhealthy, I make it for him. It takes what--another 10-15 minutes? To me, that's not big deal. I don't force my dietary choices on him. (As a result, I think he's far more amenable to eating the way I do, since I'm not forcing his hand. Real choice is a powerful thing.)

I weigh daily. I don't expect miracles. Every morning I reasonably try to predict what the scale will say, while being completely honest with myself about how well I ate yesterday, how much sodium, etc. I'm usually accurate within a pound because of that honesty.
