  • My resting heart rate ranges from 70 to 77 normally. I'll look into that. (I am so out of shape LOL)
  • I have the EatSmart. It even matches my Dr.'s office scale. Been thinking about getting an Aria, but I love the EatSmart so much don't really see a need at this point. And yep, you definitely have to calibrate every time it's moved, but that's not so hard.
  • You would have to pry my diet coke from my cold dead hands before I ever give it up...... If aspartame is going to kill me, it's had thirty years to do its best.
  • 2, although I'm fine with 1, but usually always order it 2. YUM!
  • He sounds a little like my hubby. He too refuses to track or log anything and half a** does a diet, any diet. Last year his Dr. put him on a low carb diet and he did really well on it when he focused, lost 70 lbs within 5 months, but lately, he's not lost a thing because he just flat out refuses to buckle down. He…
  • I hate running, no matter how hard I try to "love it" LOL. I bought one of the Just Dance games for the Xbox One and occasionally do it, but um, I have the rhythm of a drunk moose having a seizure. At least I amuse my husband and despite doing the moves all wrong I work up my heart rate and a good sweat! Also tried Zumba…
  • I microwave our bacon. It's easy and fast LOL!
  • I weigh daily, but I only log when I've lost weight. My biggest loss is always on Sundays for some reason, especially since I eat more on Saturdays normally.
  • I watched Deadpool and had a nice lunch with the hubby; steak, shrimp, salad, and a few bites of green beans. We split some red velvet cheesecake, but I ended up only have a few bites as it was not very good. I stayed under carbs AND calories for the day. Deadpool was awesome! We saw it twice over the weekend. Totally…
  • I've been on metformin since mid January for type II diabetes. I've lost 17 lbs in a month. The only credit I'm giving metformin on that front is the fact that it does give me horrid diarrhea and nausea which makes me eat less, thus staying under calories easier. (And some of it was holiday water weight that dropped off…
  • I personally can't stand the taste of stevie or truvia either. I drink a lot of iced tea and prefer aspartame. I use liquid splenda in my coffee in the mornings, but only because my company provides it. I rarely if ever use powdered splenda. I hate the new Diet Pepsi formula, but that's okay, I'd rather have Diet Coke. If…
  • I'm going tonight! Super excited.
  • I do net carbs and try to keep it at 30 or under. Although I have gone up to 50 net with no issues with ketosis. Sometimes I just gotta have bbq sauce with my pulled pork and stuff. I have yet to find a low carb bbq sauce that didn't make me gag. Other than that, 99% of my carbs come from veggies.
  • I have a Wii, but I use Just Dance on the Xbox one, along with Zumba world fitness. OMG, so much fun and I work up a sweat easily. The game and MFP says 30 min is 220 calories, but I am not totally sure about that. It feels like it LOL.
  • Well, to me it cooks easier as a sugar replacement when I make fat bombs or keto friendly desserts. I can't stand the aftertaste of stevia and splenda is full of filters that spike my blood sugar. I've also tried monk fruit, but erythitol is the best so far. Swerve just happens to be the only brand I can find in powdered…
  • Grats to the Broncos, but I didn't really enjoy the game, or the commercials. We ended up with smoked pulled pork, a meat and cheese tray, rotel cheese hamburger dip, and deviled eggs. I actually stayed under calories and lost .6 lbs this morning (I never lose on Mondays, so it was a pleasant surprise LOL).
  • Type 2 diabetic here - my numbers have improved drastically and I feel loads better to boot. Definitely recommend!
  • Mostly walking every day (2-6 miles at a moderate pace) and I play the Just Dance game on the xbox on sweat mode (2-4 times a week). The xbox and MFP say that's around 200 calories and while I do sweat my butt off, I just don't trust it. Calories are 1200, I use a Fitbit Charge (not HR )combined with Map My Walk, I got…
  • Okay, so what one should I care more about? Net or total calories? I haven't been eating exercise calories back because I don't trust the numbers. I'm 2273 net calories under goal atm.
  • 10 lbs in three weeks and enough inches in my tummy that I need new pants. :) And I'm still 6 lbs heavier than the holidays. /shrug
  • I park as far away from the doors as possible. I take the stairs. I walk a mile on both breaks (am and pm) and I walk to wherever my hubby and I eat lunch. In spring and summer I walk to work since I only live a mile away. It's just too dark in winter for me to feel safe. I use the downstairs bathroom. I walk up and down…
  • Many chickens died to bring us this yummy.....
  • Unless I am specifically in the conversation, I don't respond. If I'm in the conversation, I offer my advice and it's up to them to take it or not. I really don't care what people eat. Not my business. If they want to do a juice cleanse to detox their body, eat nothing but cabbage for a month, or eat grapefruit with every…
  • Garlic Parmesan wings, homemade and fried no flour, cheesy hamburger rotel dip with celery and pork rinds, and grilled local sausage. YUM! Personally, I don't have a dog in this fight, (hubby was pulling for the Patriots), but I'm going to enjoy the game and the commercials nonetheless. If it's Peyton's last year, I…
  • Amusingly enough, that's what I'm having for dinner tonight. I'm wrapping it in tinfoil and grilling that sucker slowly. It usually comes out tender and juicy. Man, I'm starving. I wish it was done right now.
  • Dang, I wish I had known this!!!! I would of done it as I have several friends in Afghanistan at the moment. Now I'm going to go track down her troop....
  • 1200. I only eat my exercise calories back if I'm hungry, but usually not. I also don't workout every day, so I've just gotten used to 1200. Sometimes I'll eat 100-200 calories over on the weekend, but I figure that's made up weekly with the exercise calories I didn't eat. Seems to be working out so far. :)
  • If I didn't measure inches, I'd got nuts. I'll drop inches long before the scale catches up with it. I measure once a month.
  • Over the holidays, I relapsed into old eating habits. In my fog of carb induced stupidity, I ordered three boxes of girl scout cookies from an old classmate. NSV? I sold them all when they came in this weekend!! HA! Normally, I would have consumed a box a day until they were gone. NOT THIS YEAR!!
  • Coffee for breakfast, lunch around 1:30, dinner around 6/7, and that's it.
