  • Not sure if you reddit - but r/keto has been tremendously helpful for me!
  • I've been off MFP for over a year and this debate is STILL going on. I think it'll go on until the end of time. At least it gives an amusing read during down times at work. I'm diabetic. I have to eat low carb in order to control it (Dr.'s advice and I think I'll take his advice over any of ya'lls). I find eating in a keto…
  • So I'm sitting here at my desk in a size 15 junior...... :D I actually got the xxl out of habit but I swam in it and went down to the xl. I could have probably gotten into the L if they'd had it in stock. It's a print dress in cream and pinks. LOL This is not something I would have EVER worn 5 months ago. Wow. I can…
  • A couple of weeks ago I was getting insane added calories for 2000 or less steps, saying I had 1000 exercise calories for barely moving. I normally don't eat exercise calories back unless I bank them for the weekend, so I just ignored it. It's annoying because then it messes up my accuracy if I do decide to eat the banked…
  • B - my go to coffee and creamer, although now with less creamer and no splenda L - 1lb of steamed cajun style shrimp D - grilled pork chops with homemade broccoli and cheese. S - may dig into the sugar free candy my co-worker gave me for Easter since my metformin dose was cut back and things aren't moving any more.....…
  • Started seeing my current Dr. in January and I was very up front about my diet. His entire staff pretty much does South Beach. He was pretty chill with low carb and keto. And recently when I went back after dropping 30 lbs in two months, he was ecstatic LOL. He is stressing I get in enough protein and take a multi vitamin…
  • B - coffee with creamer L - steamed shrimp with butter D - grilled chicken breast and wing, broccoli in butter
  • Well, not low carb, but on a saltine cracker right out of the shell. Yum. Ahhh, perks of living near Apalachicola, Fl.
  • Face/neck and butt first. Last to go is tummy.
  • A1C has gone from 8.2 to 5.8. WOOT! Dr. says I am now officially not diabetic anymore, just have pre-diabetes. YAY! And I think I'm finally in a size 14. Testing that theory out this weekend when I go clothes shopping. 3 more sizes and I can wear my god daughter's clothes LOL.
  • - zip-lining - actually being able to horseback ride when we go to the Bahamas in Sept this time - white water rafting - hiking to see waterfalls without feeling as if I am dying - feel comfortable in a swimsuit - go back to the water park - where sleeveless dresses without feeling self conscious - take decent pictures…
  • Well, food wise I was not very good this past weekend. However, yesterday at my birthday/Easter party with my family there were lots of pictures being taken. Last evening after all was posted on FB, I had to take a double take. A friend had posted a picture of me last year at March and then I compared pictures from this…
  • It's my birthday tomorrow and my grandmother always cooks me chicken and dumplings. I'm just going to enjoy the day. Stay under my calories as best I can, but enjoy it. I may gain some water weight back, but I'm expecting it and not going to fret.
  • Thank you all !
  • I've been doing protein shakes all week for lunch due to work being overly busier than normal. My friend suggested protizyme? I mix it with almond milk and it's okay. Peanut butter is so far the best. It's not very filling to me though.
  • Breakfast - coffee Lunch - protein shake Dinner - hamburger steak with brussel sprouts and butter
  • B- coffee with creamers L - protein shake (stupid busy at work this week, shorthanded) D - unsure, but probably hot wings and a salad.
  • I was ecstatic when my wedding rings fit again, @Tanukiko. Grats! I won my diet bet, I avoided caving into sweets cravings all weekend (really bad ones that came out of nowhere), and at church yesterday (first time I've gone in years LOL) no one recognized me until I sat with my grandmother. Then I got bombarded with, "You…
  • B - coffee with creamer L - protizyme protein shake (having to work through) D - grilled chicken breast with skin, brussel sprouts and butter
  • @nvmomketo, nope, no jest LOL http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/03/16/florida-woman-fighting-to-keep-motorcycle-riding-pet-alligator.html
  • Floridian born and raised...... When I retire, I'm staying put. :) Edit to add - word of caution though...... we crazy down here in the Sunshine State LOL. I mean, pet alligators and our own website and Florida Man subreddit.... It's GREAT!!!
  • This is great. Awesome LOL
  • Thanks everyone. I'll check all those out and I order off Amazon all the time. I've tried a few of the Cafe Brit ones and always liked them. I can find the Gevalia at Walmart, or I've seen it there before. Thank you again!
  • I struggled with this too the first time I did LC. I made cheeseburger casserole one night and the grease was so thick, I couldn't fathom this ever being good for me. My numbers never went up though and the weight loss actually improved things. Now, I realize, my grandparents, both in their 90's grew up on a high fat diet…
  • I have found cheating on this WOE makes getting back on track really hard and usually not worth it. I took a cheat day around Thanksgiving after being super strict for 5 months. I didn't get back on plan until 20lbs gained back and my Dr. told me I was a type 2 diabetic two months later. Nope. For me, not worth it. My…
  • Oh yeah, my french press makes the best coffee. And nope on the Giant grocery. I have a Piggly Wiggly and Dollar General. If I feel up to driving 45 minutes away, I can find a Walmart, Winn Dixie, or Publix LOL!
  • Monday - Friday, 2 meals a day and every now and then a snack. Saturday I save all my calories and carbs for one meal usually since we go out to eat at whatever steak house sounds good. Sunday I graze all day and don't really have a set meal.
  • I love Chinese. It's my favorite food and I'd eat it every day if I could.. I try to do my own stir fry these days. We have a really good mongolian BBQ place nearby that I eat at a lot. Avoid the rice and just have the dinner and egg drop soup, but try not to indulge too much as there is some sugar in the sauce. It's never…
