Ooooh. Mind = blown. :/

No no no! You guys got it all wrong! There is a significant and linear decrease in IQ as your butt goes from pancake flat to "D*** girl!"
-
You should! This post is very educational (maybe my big butt low IQ will go up ;) ). Now I know that people think my big butt is trashy and if I choose to play up the girls they think I've had some traumatic life experience. If somebody starts giving me Judgey-eyes I know to tell them to eff off! See! :)

This! They have no clue! :D :D

Why did something have to happen in their lives to prefer a certain style? Don't you see something wrong with the thought that if a man wants to get in shape and take his shirt off it's ok, but if a woman gets in shape and shows off her hard work by wearing revealing clothes it's bad? Wow. From your comments, it honestly…

Confession: I saw a lady running at the gym today with no bra on, just a camisole. Though she wasn't big-boobed, I still couldn't help but think how uncomfortable I would feel doing that!
-
So @Francl27 , I gotta know: what do you think about Serena Williams? I'm honestly just curious in what think about women who are naturally shaped this way.

True. I wasn't saying to ignore BMI altogether. But the point on the BMI scale where risk of chronic disease is increased is at the obesity range. Because the BMI scale is so inaccurate, the waist circumference should be used as a more specific tool to measure health (or risk really)for people not in the obese category…

Sadly no. I was trying to match my BF and went with an equally cute LBD. Wish I had bought both now.

Wow. Let me let all of my "naturally" voluptuous friends and family members know that they are trashy, disgusting, have a low IQ, and are a walking invitation for perverts.

Finally. Caught. Up. Onthisaweseomefreakingthread!!!! Woo! Been reading this thing forever. It's like non-stop greatness. From the humor to the motivation, and even the fights (LOL). My confession: If I eat chips straight from a big bag, I won't count them. I know it's bad, but I usually think "I'll take just a few". But I…

Thanks guys! I've always been a runner and being "overweight" doesn't slow me down one bit, nor does it make me "unhealthy". I think people should focus more on fitness and the body will adjust as needed. But I don't think "normal" on the BMI scale is the holy grail of fitness and beauty. Thanks for the compliments!

I'm 5'6" and 159 lbs. (considered overweight on the BMI scale). I go to the gym 6 days a week. I can run a 7:30 mile. I run 2-5 miles (8 min pace) about 4 days a week. I lift heavy things 4 times a week. My blood pressure is low and I'm completely healthy. So the BMI chart can kiss my a**. If a doctor examines me and takes…

Exactly! If you're healthy at 24.9 then gain 5 pounds, are you suddently unhealthy even though you can still complete the same activities at the same performance level? That's the most ridiculous thing. People don't seem to realize that BMI is highly inaccurate. And not just for body builders and athletes. It has a…

Best. Kind. Ever!

I agree that JLO isn't carrying much fat but I NEVER believe celebrities' listed weight. I highly doubt she weighs 120 lbs. But you're right, you don't have to be overweight to be curvy.
-
"Normal" weight range does not statistically reduce overall mortality unless you're going from obese/morbidly obese to "normal". And it's true that you won't get that "skinny skinny" look at 24.9, nor will you get that "fat fat" look at 25.0. OP, if you feel that you are at a comfortable weight and you're HEALTHY, don't…

Though I also don't agree with labeling every overweight person as "thick" (I kinda hate that word), I think we should stop with the "be a 'normal' BMI or you are not healthy" mantra as well. You CAN be healthy when you are in the BMI overweight range. As a matter of fact, research says that being overweight but not obese…

"You want me on that wall. You need me on that wall." "You can't handle the truth!" "Should we or should we not follow the advice of the galactically stupid!" All from A Few Good Men. Lol! Great movie.
