If you've got stretch marks.. you have got stretch marks. Period. Once the initial redness fades you are left with fine silvery scars. There is no magical way to get rid of them other than having the skin surgically removed. Personally I think that's a tad drastic. I have seen good results on surgical scars with Bio Oil.…

1500 cals is about a 6oz weight gain at most. Just cut 200 cals a day from the rest of the week or go for an extra walk a day and it should be ok. The important thing is to Stop. Acknowledge it. See if you can identify what triggered it (bad day? Under eating? Just one of those things?) and move on. It's really no biggie…

I hate being the moose in the changing room! I didn't like not being able to bend (I can now!). So it's basically all about Me!

I weigh after every fast day but only log it on Saturday. I measure really intermittently every few weeks or so. Works for me!

Hi there. I'm a bit 'born again' about the diet I'm on. I thought I'd share with you my story. I'm 55 and have had about 35 yrs of being 'on a diet'. Tried all the usual diets and slimming clubs and managed to put on 100lbs over that time. As you can see I've lost 38 of those, 27 of 'em in the last 2 mths. How? MFP and a…

this and I have no discipline and the the will power of a Kitkat (a Twinkie in US?). I Have Found the Power!!! or... 5:2 Diet works a charm. You only have to have will power and discipline for 24 hrs. I can look at a chocolate cake and think 'I can eat this tommorrow... just not today.' I've lost 27lbs in 2 months. :-D

Oh OP thankyouthankyouthankyou! I hate exercise. I hate the sweaty, clammy, lung wrenching, red misting, under achieving whole thing. Yes. I was one of the kids picked last for teams. I can't catch or hit a ball. I have huge boobs that could be classed along with anti personnel weaponry when moving at anything over a brisk…

Why don't you get a friend to read the scale for you and tell you if you are in a healthy weight range for a woman of your height. You don't need to know the actual number. Or, this is just an idea but maybe you should discuss this whole topic with your doctor.

Outstanding! It must have been a nice feeling when that dress slipped down! The loss really shows in your face too. I have lost about a similar % and also don't 'feel' there's much of a change. It doesn't seem to show that much in my physical stats. The scales say I have lost 38lbs of fat so it must have gone from…

Hi Shazza, well done on losing 11lbs for a start! It probably is water retention due to time of the month (In the past I've gained and lost 6lb over a couple of days due to that!) and it's been suddenly really hot here in UK and that can have an effect on water retention too. The answer to both of those is oddly enough…

Maybe this isn't the right diet for you. I agree with most of what the others have said. For a diet to be sustainable one needs to make lifestyle changes. I'm on the 5:2 or Fast Diet. This is something I can and will stick to for the rest of my life. It's simply a case of finding what works for you. Good luck and you can…

It's funny as we always seem to hang around those milestones weightwise! Try shaking things up a little nutritionally. Are you stuck in a rut foodwise? Are you eating the same meals again and again? Idon't know if you are doing this but track everything you eat and have a look at patterns. If there are any patterns -change…

this! What I found useful was to avoid adding any sort of sugar to anything. I replaces it with sweetners at first and at the same time slowly reduced the amount of sweetness I was looking for. I look for my trigger foods. Oddly they are pears, grapes, baked beans. I also check my labels. I'm on a 5:2 diet and that has…

Sweetie.... how can I put this.... you have lost 43lbs.... forty three pounds.... If you've done that by eating fruit... Keep Eating The Fruit!

Well done on that weight loss! You can do this just don't be too hard and strict about the time scale. Allow 1-2 years to get to your final goal weight but in the mean time set small achievable goals and milestones along the way. Good luck! ;-)

I'm keeping 1 item that fit me at my very biggest and anything that I feel good in. The rest goes to charity. I know I now have a lifestyle change and will never go back to the weight I was.

It works for me. I'm not half as disciplined as the rest of the posters but I have been losing weight very successfully. This has been the best and most effective diet I've tried in 35 yrs of dieting. As with the previous poster I see this as a lifestyle change rather than 'a diet'. I have never had such a good…

I too have a 100 weight loss journey to make but I'm 55 so that kind of counts me out on age! :-) Here's my twopenneth of wisdom: Great job having already lost 20+% of the way! Have lots of little goals to achieve. (milestones achieved, weight lost, weight to lose) Have a long term plan with goals that are achievable. You…
