I agree with the tape measure idea but do do both! I weigh and measure as I find my body does seem to swell and shrink in odd places at odd times. Have an item of clothing you can try on to make comparisons with how it used to fit and feel. Get a spare set of batteries too and always weigh at the same time of the day, on a…

I'm a housecat away from this years target! A sperm whales brain and a dozen Krispy Kremes to date this year and I released a housecat last year. I'm going for the full tyre by New Years Eve!

A wise woman in a pub toilets once said to me " If a man makes you cry, he isn't worth crying about.' I've held to that. I'm currently getting painfully divorced from a cheating, lying manipulator and I've cried buckets and he really isn't worth it! Try taking soft stuff, soup, yoghurt etc. and be easy on yourself. You…

I'm in the Genetics Camp... and the Slow Weight Loss Camp... and the Good Nutrition Camp and the Basic Good Luck Camp.... I'm over 50 (55 i think), have been over weight most of my life, touching morbid obese in the last 2 years yet seem to have resilient skin (touch wood). There is going to be a certainly bagginess on the…

I think you look great. I think that you seem to be at the point where you can almost stop wanting to reduce the number on the scales and work on refining your shape. Muscle weighs differently to fat. Have a chat with your fitness trainers about where to go from here. Good luck and well done! :-)

keep using mfp and log regularly! My past 2 attempts have resulted in my dropping off at Week 5. This Is my Week 5! (Weak 5?) Great thread OP!

Hi. I can empathise with what you say OP! I'm an emotional eater and I'm in the middle of a messy divorce, selling my beloved dream farm.and recovering from gall bladder surgery. I'm doing the 5:2/ADF diet... and it's working! I'm only 5 weeks in so there's going to be speed bumps along the way and I too could do with the…

It's just that you are so used to your body you won't notice the gradual changes. Measure yourself. Dig out some clothes from 10kg ago and try them on. There is a difference! :-)

Lots of sense being said here. I put my money on your hormones and water retention. Try drinking more water. Also I'd go with the idea that you may not eating enough calories and avoiding processed food.
-
Yep I was on here last year and lost 35lbs (mainly due to ill health I'll admit) but now I'm back here 'on the wagon' ... again. I can be motivational! Add me.

In the UK the sandwiches have the cals listed on the menu. Low fat turkey with everything but onions and no dressing is my favourite.

I'm not surprised you are flattered. It's because of his position his behaviour is inappropriate and he should know better than to flatter you like this. This might help to clarify things a little- if it's any kind of a decent Uni he could be sacked for dating/hitting on you in this manner. If in doubt ask your Dad to…
