  • Hi all, I'm a day behind, sorry! Age 49 start weight 282 Waist; 43.5 Hips:52 thigh:30 bust (over):50 bust (under):44 Body fat % - I have no idea; where do I find this out?
  • So...... A French man conducts a study where he spends his time looking at women's breasts. in and out of bras, to consider whether they droop! Oh please...
  • You'll never regret taking control of you! I've been here since Feb; I've lost 17lbs so far and it hasn't cost me anything, I haven't had to attend classes or humiliating weigh-ins, I can still eat the food I love (cheese), within the calorie allowance... I have never kept to a 'diet' for so long, although it's not really…
  • Good morning from sunny Notttingham. Born in Catford, and spent many a happy time performing at Greenwich theatre, but wouldn't swap it for the lovely Peak District on my doorstep. The sun really lifts the spirits, doesn't it! Happy cycling, Jan :0)
  • Wowee! You look fab, and so happy! I want to be doing this myself, eventually! Well Done! Jan :0)
  • 34 packs of butter (UK) or 68 sticks (US) I don't know how to add pictures, sorry! :0)
  • 5356 + 15= 5371 Wow!
  • Welcome back. You've made a great start by reaching out for support, and having lost weight before, you know what lies ahead. Perhaps to get you motivated, you could try setting yourself some small, achievable goals, not necessarily 'diet' related, but that you can achieve. Have you got some little jobs that you know you…

  • Ok... The thing is... your body doesn't understand that you require it to behave like a machine, so... 1. Only weigh once a week, at the same time, wearing roughly the same clothes 2. Measure yourself and log it on your profile. The tape measure doesn't lie. 3. Take photos, so you can see for yourself. 4. Relax. It's not a…
  • Well done! I have lost 15lbs on my way to losing 100... Add me if you like, :0), but what I really wanted to say was, next time you are shopping, put 34 packs of butter/lard in your basket, then walk around with it! You'll very soon want to put it down, if you can carry it at all! You have lost that amount of fat! Now, how…
  • Hi. I've been doing it for about 5 weeks. I have to plan what to eat on my fasting days but it seems to suit me. My diary is open if you want to have a look. I tend to fast on tue/thurs each week, but not this week, as I'm on holiday! Not eating over my daily calorie, though! Feel free to add. Jan :0)
  • I try to make sure I have some protein with my main meal, so I tend to have steamed fish (Monkfish is particularly filling) and veg for my tea, with some water, garlic, fish sauce, soy and chilli flakes for flavour. I find this satisfies me. Home-made veggie soup for lunch is filling too. 500 cals a day needs planning for!
  • What I don't understand is... (and this is a serious point...) when they put those overweight celebrities in the jungle for I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here (UK), and feed them on the bare minimum ,( sometimes only rice and beans when they lose a task,), they don't plateau! Those that go in obese, or worse, all manage to…
  • Today... I was reaching to put back a bag of granola, cos the nutritional information was so shocking, (that's a NSV on it's own!), but as I reached up, my jeans slipped right over my hips, exposing my 'gorgeousness' to all! This weight loss thing has dangerous side effects! Well done, everyone! You are all fab! :0)
  • My first proper one today... I was checking out the sugar/calorie info on cereals in the suprmarket, and as I reached up to put a 'not-so-healthy' healthy choice cereal back (You know... the one with a big red 'K' on!), my jeans slipped right past my hips and displayed the top of my knickers! I passed on the cereals... :0)
  • My daughter and I enjoy this fish all the time. I do it two ways, mainly. I lightly dust it in flour with thyme, garlic salt and pepper in it and shallow fry in sunflower oil, then serve it with half a pouch of flavoured microwaved rice, like Sharwood's Lemon and Rosemary or Mexican Spicy...or... I make a parcel from foil…
  • Well done for starting out on your journey to health, My advice, for what it's worth, is to log on every day, look at all the success stories and make small changes to start with. I don't belong to a gym, but I walk every day. I don't have weights, so I use a couple of tins. When I feel hungry I have glass of water…
  • Hi. My daughter's on here, and she's 17, too! Search for Aliceinwonderland... or you can add me. I don't mind. My diary is open if you want to see what we eat, although we don;t always eat the same things. good luck on your journey... Jan :0)

  • Hi. I'm 5'11" and have an open diary. I've only been on here since 1st Feb, but I log in every day. Feel free to add me. Jan :0)
  • Firstly, 5lbs is achievable, but I am concerned at the 'need' part of the statement. I have lost quite quickly by following the Intermittent fasting regime, restricting myself to around 500 calories, two days a week, It takes some considerable planning and determination, and I combined it with 30 day shred. I feel great; I…
  • Sometimes the scales don't move, but the tape measure does! I bought myself a new top today that is 2 sizes smaller than the one I last bought! Happy Saturday to you, too!
  • I can't get through it... I'm huffing and puffing, and after the first few times I couldn't raise my arms above my head, the next day! I don't have weights, instead I use a couple of tins of chickpeas... BUT, I'm sticking with it. I can only improve. My push-ups are laughable, and (to quote Shakira), these hips don't lie!…
  • I'm AMAZED! I am at the beginning of my journey; one month in, and find the success pics so helpful. I have taken my before, and they are SCAAAAAARY! Thank you for being brave enough to share.
  • General circuit training. Hope you enjoy it!
  • This is my first group.... and I love that it recognises success away from the scales! I've just had a brilliant week, and only lost 1lb, so I'm getting the message... My NSV's for March are: 1) to get back to my local pool and swim with meaning, 2) to get into a LBD that's been hanging in my wardrobe for too long, 3) to…
  • Well, I guess all these replies are the reason there are so many successes on MFP. I started on here 1st Feb. I've got 100 plus pounds to lose, but 13 of them have gone aleady! Feel free to add me. My food diary is open, and I enjoy cooking, so am always looking for creative ways to make healthy food more tasty. I am the…
  • Hi, there's loads of threads about this if you type '30 day shred' into the search bar... I watched it on Youtube before I bought it. It looks, and is, straightforward, but it works you out well. It's good for starting you off and if you're time-precious, as the work outs are only 30 mins each. there are some fab pics…
  • He there. Today I started 30DS, and I managed it in my lounge. You need enough space to lie down and enough width to spread out your arms to the side (while lying down!) When I watched it through I thought it would be easy, but I found it quite a challenge, esp the jumping jacks. Hope to see results as my scales seem…
