  • I don't think it stops you losing. It does kind of mask your results, makes you hold more water, etc. There are other negative effects of too much salt as well....but I'm not a nutritionist (I think it's high blood pressure and a handful of other things). When I was losing, I did find that if I ate something too high in…
  • The day I hit my goal weight, I immediately changed my MFP goals to maintenance and began eating more. My own paranoia has still kept me normally eating less than my maintenance calories. I think it's going to take awhile to learn what 'normal eating' is.
  • It was a fairly decent estimate. It had been saying I'd be hitting my goal weight by around early to mid November, and I hit my goal on Nov 18th. I stayed pretty consistent from day to day with what I was eating.

  • I didn't have much of a stall in my weight loss other than maybe my last 10lbs. I didn't change anything - just kept doing exactly what I was doing all along and waited patiently. I can say that I made a push to log more accurately by creating more recipes / measuring some things out instead of 'ballparking' from existing…
  • I just hit my goal today - dropped 116lbs in just a bit less than 10 months.
  • I'm down over 110lbs in less than 10 months - my exercise has consisted of nothing but walking, really. I spend 2-3 days a week at the gym - I walk 15 minutes at a slow/normal pace around their walking track, then spend 30 minutes at a brisk pace on a treadmill (just below jogging/where it would become difficult to keep…

  • I'm also 6 foot 3 and have lost quite a bit (started 296 - now at 203). I've been getting the same kind of comments from people saying I don't need to lose more. Not that I care what they think, but I have noticed the comments.... Anyway, I had set my initial goal weight for 180 (middle of the BMI - I know...I know....BMI…
  • As I get nearer to my goal weight and am eating less calories, I occasionally get light headed like that. So far it's been 100% my fault and was because of not eating enough calories that morning (blood sugar). Was easily fixed in my case by more snacks and better timing of meals (I.E. - eating lunch before I go to the gym…
  • It depends on your own perception. Everyone seems to approach their own weight loss with a varying amount of willpower, anxiety, self-control, etc. I had a lot of weight to lose - started at 296lbs. I'm still pretty much in a 'bulk weight loss' mentality and have been for the last 7 months or so. I can probably count on…
