Definitely, and not only do they create unrealistic expectations; it also makes you want to reach unhealthy goals, like dropping +5lbs in a week. I remember I did some research on how TBL winners had done after the show, and I was shocked by finding out that the first season winner had regained 32lbs in five days after the…

Some of my favorite NSVs have been: -Being able to admire my jawlife for the first time in years -Getting compliments from relatives, coworkers, classmates... :D -Looking better in my prom dress than I did 5 years ago, when I graduated xD But last week was one of the most important ones: I managed to finally run 10K…

I had to lose about 30lbs before getting to the size I wanted. My boobs have definitely gotten smaller, but I think most of what I lost was fat from my back. I hope to stay at 34C forever, this feels like the perfect size *-* lol

I weigh in almost every day, but I log my weight once a week, or once every ten days. I do the every-day thing just to check I'm still in the same weight range as on my actual weigh-in day. Sometimes I go up a couple of pounds, sometimes I go down (especially after +10mi runs, lol)... but weight is just an indicator for me…

Many others have said it as well, but I think it's going to make a huge difference: run outside!! I didn't like running at the beginning because it was too difficult and boring... but everything clicked the day I was running up a hill (that's my favorite part of running now), listening to a great song while the sun was…

I don't plan my meals at all, but I kind of do the math in my head. After logging so much I've become very familiar with calories/carbs/protein in my food and I can calculate how much I have to eat. This has worked wonders for me :)

I'm running my first 21K in less than two weeks... I'm dead nervous/excited about it!

This is my face photo.. the first one is from May 2012, I was around 168 (I think) and in the second one (today) I'm 132 :) And these are my body pics, 6 months apart!

That's a big deal here, especially for people who are critic towards religion. Sometimes you can even find it in the newspapers: "Double standars" in bold and capital letters, lol. I find your perspective on the US very interesting... because most of the people I'm surrounded by -and I-, think about politics when someone…

I'll start by answering your questions. As a Guatemalan, a Latin, and a member of a deeply catholic family, (I'm an atheist) my answer to your first question is NO. The first thing I think about when I hear "American" is "God dammit! Why do these people think they own the entire continent?! *insert rambling&some swearing*"…

I'm doing my first half at the end of August... That's about 8 months after I started running. I've been on a training plan for 3 months now.

Dear Jillian, you are INSANE for making us workout like this.. I want to see you doing that too, not just walking around the girls but w/e... Some say there is a fine line between love and hatred; but I'm beyond that. I'll deify you forever and ever cause you've made me lose inches like no one or nothing else ever has…

I got a really nice compliment from one of my bosses today... She said something like "wow, you're looking great! You're my inspiration to get up and do something!" and I fit into a pair of size 10 jeans pretty comfortably now :) a few weeks back, they were really tight!
