Okay, this is a conundrum to be sure! I think maybe you could set your weight goal based on the shorter of the two and just not fret about the bmi. Or, maybe split the difference? Use a middle height - 5' 4 1/2" - as your planning height. All the charts, whether weight or bmi, have a range. So start evaluating your…

You wondered about the relationship between carbohydrates and workouts: Simple carbohydrates are often found in bread, snack foods, cereals, pasta and crackers. These are processed quickly, giving your body a fast energy boost, but often resulting in an energy crash later. Complex carbohydrates help keep your body active…

I'm 65 and haven't started losing height (5' 7 1/2 since age 13) Do you have a health issue? I don't consider age a health issue, but have started boosting both my calcium and Vitamin D recently. I only ask because 3" sounds like a lot at only 61!

Please follow the prior advice about measuring/weighing carefully. But a kilo in 1 month is a little over 1/2 lb (my conversion!) per week. Which some people set as a goal.
-
OH! Maybe eat some meat daily for a while and be sure to weigh the fruit, too.

So you lost that first 45 VERY fast! In just a smidge over 2 months? Maybe the plateau is your body doing a "whoah slow down" and you'll start losing again after your metabolism stabilizes. Just a thought.

My face always shows weight loss (more defined cheekbones, jawline, ...) when losing. At 50 lbs. that will be VERY obvious. BUT your friends are your friends because of who you are, not your dress size! So they didn't and don't care about anything about your spirit! I'm sure they want you to be happy and healthy, but…

Do you mean BMI when you post body fat numbers? And muscular calves, which may measure larger, look really great - especially if ankles are slender!
-
Have you also cut out caffeine? There's a withdrawal process there as well.

Do you have a digital scale? If not, get one. Mine is a Kamenstein that will read in ozs. or grams with w/ 0 and Tare features. Will go up to 11 lbs, I think. Great for when you want to add ingredients by weight. But I even use it to correctly note the correct size apple into diary. (A small apple is supposed to be 4 oz -…

How much have you lost already and before this plateau, what was your average weekly weight loss? Do you exercise already? If so, how strenuously? What is your average daily calorie intake? Do you have any wiggle room? You've set yourself a seemingly impossible task, but it's hard to give any real tips without a starting…

I have an iphone and sometimes phone app and pc don't sync. Usually it's an easy enough fix, but sometimes I have to add or delete a food in the diary. Don't know how it works for recipes, but only write this to acknowledge the occasional sync issue.

Have you tried, just for a couple of days, actually tracking what you are really eating? That kitchen candy (I know the magnetic draw) may not be so appealing when you realize just how many calories you're taking in if you eat just a few pieces. Of course it's more appealing than riding that bike! You may have to skip…

Have you been large so long that you see this as the normal for you? Maybe you need to reset your definition of normal - not necessarily 100 lbs down, but 25 and then 25 and so on. Is there someone with your features and overall looks that you can use to visualize as a model for yourself as you shape up? There has been so…

Hey - it counts! But I'm from GA, USA

Okay, just a thought here. Have you tried taking photos (easy enough these days with our phones) of a few days worth of meals that are within your caloric prescription. Monday's food, Tues., etc. Then, you may be learn to visually judge a serving or meal even when you don't have a scale handy?

College - even though it was a long time ago I DO remember the beer parties and deadly fruit punches! Of course, you may be more controlled that I was at 20! Anywayyyyyyyyy Following the guidance of those who have already commented - and if you're on any kind of campus where you rush from building to building for classes -…

Exercise and don't think about your weight at all - it's a nonissue for you. Activity will be the fitness key for a 110 lb woman. And fitness will translate to a great bikini body for you.
-
I'm not sure I understand why you wanted to lose that last 8 lbs., but glad that it was perceived fat instead of just weight. Maybe time for maintenance?
-
I have learned over the years that I cannot drink anything - no beer, no wine - and successfully lose weight. The theory of reserving daily calories is fine, but my calorie count doesn't have much wiggle room and even now am losing slowly. So I have a gut (no pun intended for us pudgies) feeling that when my goal weight is…

I have a freezer that works great for breads, cakes/pies and such, soups, stews, ... In fact, sliced bread keeps better frozen than refrigerated anyway (refrigerator storage stales breads). Potatoes don't freeze well, but beans do. Wine - if both you have a glass of wine do you really plan to budget another one weeks or…

Have you followed the steps here on MFP to figure out what your daily intake should be? Then measure and log what you eat. That first step, figuring out what your daily intake should be, will be a major part of getting things rolling for you.

1. "New replacement"? This is a pretty major unexplained point. Does being overweight cause or impact this need? So much going through my thoughts, but it sounds as if you have health issues that trump cake. And I'm a chocoholic, too!
-
Learned I have to completely cut out my beer or wine to lose weight! It helps me stay focused on reaching goal and you better believe that will be the first to re-introduce to my nutrition plan when it's time to maintain! Which isn't here yet! Oh - I don't sleep better but my skin is clearer.

Kamenstein - mine has one of those little round batteries that was referenced earlier, but it is still running after a year of regular use. I think they also have a model with an AC Adapter.

Some people (me, as an example) just simply hate the way they look in pictures. It's a sickness, I know, but immortalizing myself in unappealing images isn't creepy, just a self-protective quirk.

When you were setting up your account, you set up goals designed to lose, gain or maintain weight http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/change_goals_guided That calorie amount, if your intent is to lose, is what you should eat daily to lose and keep that good old metabolic engine purring along! If you go back to that same…

Dannon greek light - 80 calories, 12 g protein, sweet (or not - depends on which you choose) Good option if you've got a sweet tooth, but doesn't satisfy a "chew" yearning. Then you may want to look into making your own bars as someone suggested earlier. I think some of the whey brands provide recipes if you want to boost…
