• I expect you're right or, at least, partly right.

• MFP _does_, for most categories of exercise, consider your most recent check-in weight/mass as a determinant of exercise calories burned.
• With the new grandson earlier.
The sweetest pic ever....congratulations.. :)
Yeah, two good lookin' roosters I told my wife, even though I have 60 years head start on young Jack!

• Raw Chicken Breast is very, very close to one calorie per gram. A standard 113g serve is 118 calories (uncooked). Lean grilled or steamed chicken, no skin, no fat, cooked without oil/butter is 165 calories per 100g. Both the Australian Health Commission and the US Food and Drug Administration use these figures. It is…

• You are doing it wrongly if it tastes bad (or you might have an inferior brand). n.b. NOT ALL inferior brands are cheap, either. There are literally hundreds of recipes/suggestions to make best use of pea protein in drinks and shakes. My recent one was: ** 150 grams of your favourite berries or pitted cherries ** one…
• Try green (or almost green) bananas for lower sugar content. I started on pea protein recently. It's protein-rich and supports the dual goals of (a) weight loss and (b) muscle development. It's usually suitable for vegans as well. Great replacement for red meat if you're cutting down or eliminating. The pea protein recipes…
• I have been using VITAL (brand) Pea Protein Chocolate for a few days here in Australia. It's good. Protein rich stuff! So far, I have used strawberries, blackberries and cherries with it. All made a smooth palatable drink. Flavour-wise, I enjoyed the blackberry version best. One of the recipe suggestions (which I use in my…
• I have been using VITAL (brand) Pea Protein Chocolate for a few days here in Australia. It's good. A protein-rich powder that suits vegans and anyone cutting down on meat proteins. The chocolate flavour masks the golden pea somewhat but one of the recipe suggestions (which I use in my super blender) is 25 grams of the pea…

• Here in Australia, we have Vital (brand) Pea Protein Chocolate. I mix it in the super-blender with water (or skim milk, 50 to 150 grams of berries and a couple of ice cubes. No lumps, no graininess. Quite smooth. The berries (of your choice) mask the golden peas upon which the highly nutritious, protein-rich powder is…
• Maybe, just maybe, try what worked for my neighbour. Eat an apple and drink a glass of water about every three hours. For her, the amazing impact was that she was hydrated and feeling full more of the time but lowered her net calorie intake by about 240 calories per day.
• I swim daily usually 2-3 hours (at a moderate/leisurely pace) and I have a mostly available calendar ... I will see your progress (if it's public) and respond to your posts and questions and encourage you with your stated goals.
• I am a very committed daily user. I have a very few friends now on MFP as so many people became infrequent users or dropped off altogether. I have only three or four people in 'my circle' that appear 5+ times per week and one other who "speaks"/comments about once a fortnight. I am a loyal friend/supporter on a long weight…
• Their foods, particularly their processed ones, are seriously dodgy cr@p. Ours are not much better. There's stuff in those pictures that would have enticed me a decade ago but I have re-educated my palate a lot since. A lot of "heart attack in waiting" foods in that thread, fwhittaker.
• Aiming to get from the 174-176kg I was on April 1, 2014 to 80-81kg by 2017. Currently 145kg and accelerating a bit since I took up swimming a month and a half ago. I'm still on a long journey if it's a long-term support friend you are after. Message me. Live at Toronto, (Lake Macquarie) NSW.
• SOEHNLE Model QU-100112 ... Gorilla glass platform that takes up to 180kg. (I needed that tolerance when I began MFP at 174kg. No other scales were quite as good. Bought (on special) for $45 from BING LEE in 2013. The mass they record is within 0.01 to 0.02kg of what both my doctor's and dietician's scales say on the same…
• Isowhey has worked for my son-in-law. Great tastes (vanilla, chocolate, banana) ... can be mixed with water, milk or skim milk. S-I-L has lost 75kg from 208kg since January 23, 2015 up until Xmas Eve ... 11 months. He has one with milk (breakfast) and one with tap water (lunch) and a 600-700 calorie evening meal. He's…
• I did Jetts for 51 months. It worked reasonably well for me. Back in late 2010, an annual membership worked out to about 94c per day if one paid up front. These days, it's about $1.28. I was a late night (after 10pm) or wee small hours (from 3:15am) user about two hours per session, nine to ten days per fortnight. No…
• Ditto. Already up to three small avocados at 1pm (Eastern Australia) on Wed Dec 2. I love avocado on toast/bread and as my "butter" on salad rolls
• You could just go cold turkey on adding sugar or sweetener if you made up your mind. When I did, I had some headaches for about six to eight days but the long-term benefits will soon accrue. I occasionally have cake (family birthdays or special desserts) but choose not to have it the several times per week that I used to.…
• Georgina, Any simple google search will give you a rich source of 'yummy' recipes that can be as low calorie as you choose. Do just that, i.e. put 'yummy low calorie recipes' into Google or another search engine. You'll get more suggestions than you can handle. Another alternative is go to a reputable website with good…
• I read "Sweet Poison" by David Gillespie about two years ago. (I've since bought two other associated books by the same author.) Kindle Editions here but you can link to paperbacks. http://www.amazon.com/David-Gillespie/e/B003F3HO9O/ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1?qid=1445718452&sr=1-1 I have dropped 23kg (49 pounds) since April 1st…
• Yes, I've read a summary of the book and seen the documentaries that have sprung from it. The West's relationship with sugar has changed massively over 150 years. Sugar (white added sugar) used to be a very small component in the 1850s and 1860s but it's now a very big component in the westernised food chain. The…
• Stir some very fine/small vegetable cubes through the brown rice (ratio 1:3 or 1:2) and maybe a half cup of warm water and some dried chicken/beef/vege gravy flakes. Seriously, don't give up on brown rice. As I recall, it has about 3x to 4x the fibre of white rice. Much better for your gut and your digestion.
