Wow, very cool! His spine is curved like crazy! Mine is nothing like that, lol :)

I like beer, but I had to give it up to pay for my vegetable habit :(

Thanks guys :) I am pretty sure it's not a pinched nerve because I've had one of those before up near my neck, and that was ... a definite experience. I thought I was paralyzed (I may be a hypochondriac, sorta). I want to be able to do exercises like sit ups, or other things where you sort of roll your back-- laying flat…

Happy 100! I'm up and ready to do my best :)

As I recall, kale and celery are fairly high in sodium for vegetables. If you're suddenly taking in a lot lot lot more than you're used to, I guess maybe that could have something to do with it.
-
Nah, that's not it. I care about your post. I think it comes off in a particularly unpleasant way. I don't care about the thing that you care about, though.

My god YES. It's not nearly enough to have a perfect body, by god, you must also have a perfect home! And don't even think of wearing non-designer clothing! Have some self respect! This is the INTERNET after all!

Holy smokes, you guys are beasts! Your speeds and inclines are amazing to me! I hit my treadmill for maybe 45 minutes at an average speed of maybe 2.5mph and an average incline of 5 or maybe 6 and I feel like I'm really kicking butt, haha. Seriously, you guys are crazy good. :)

I have never done, but a local deli has one for some kind of ginormous corned beef sandwich that I consider every time I stop in there. I'm almost certain I could do it (or could have when large meals were my norm), but I never really wanted to be That Girl. Plus, I really, really love corned beef. It would kind of suck to…

Mental health? Man, I dunno, I dunno who you have on your list or how open your FB is to the public or anything. If it were me, I would make a little friends list group thing so you can share those posts only with people you trust. People you A LOT. Those are the ones who would be willing to put in any kind of effort…

I think mine is proportionate, more or less. But I do recall once, back when I was in relatively decent shape, being told that I had a 'ghetto booty.' Either way, I think it's one of the greatest songs ever made. :)

Whatever. μ is very mean.

Pipil- I ain't no T-rex!

Pardon me, and I'm sorry to interrupt, but I would just like to say that the way you language is really hot.

Funny how one can be reading along in a thread like this and think, hey, this is actually going pretty well, there's a pretty fair sharing of ideas going on here, very cool! And then there's a car wreck.
-
Thank you! I love words and phrases and their etymology. :)

It has been around a lot longer than that. I don't know where or why it started, but I distinctly remember hearing it in the early 2000s. I'm utterly un-stunned that a cool dude like Kayne West is responsible for its resurgence and/or more widespread popularity though.

I don't think the issue here is really blame or using it as an excuse, or whatever else can be put out there to say "Hey, it's ok, it's cool, you're being oversensitive." But that said, why do adult humans have body issues, if there's nothing to the media portrayal of what adult humans look like?

Man, the amount of gaslighting in this thread is pretty amazing given it's not even a page long yet.

Erasing curves or erasing any signs of aging. Women with wrinkles are useless! The Angelina Jolie GIF didn't load properly for me, so it just stayed in... well, I assume it's post-photoshop. Or maybe she is just that perfect... Hm.
-
That is so far from the point that it makes my head hurt. And please, don't ask me what the point is because you have participated in this thread long enough that if you're going to get it, you would have already.
-
Well, if we get used to it, it certainly isn't going to change any time soon. That seems pretty counter-productive.

I recently read Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and was quite pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect much because ...well, the thread doesn't need to go into that direction. Point is: it was very good. I think it's the only book I've recently felt compelled to recommend even to total strangers, whose reading preferences I'm…

Thanks! Graphs can be fun!

Not entirely true. Sometimes people don't realize that what they're saying or doing is offensive. Granted, they also may not care, and whatever, that's them... But some people DO care and maybe don't want to be ignorantly offensive. Perhaps "speaking up" would be a better term than "complaining."

I'm not a big mayo fan and basically only use it with tuna, but I substituted it with Kraft Sandwich Spread the other day and it was pretty good. Gives a creamy texture, only has I think 35 calories/tablespoon. It is pretty high in sodium, though. On its own it kinda tastes maybe like Thousand Island dressing? Sorta.

I haven't seen it here and I haven't even heard it in like 10 years (but I am like, super hermit girl these days). Pretty sad it's still around.

Optometry is fine. I've worked in the optical business for... well, many years. The last place I worked offered a Groupon for an exam, retinal photos, and some money toward glasses. He gave the same exam he gave anyone else. As long as the O.D. is a real O.D., it's not a big deal. Optical places are weird because they're…

I haven't even seen that headline so, um, no... But! I am constantly misreading things and mishearing people. The world is a very funny place in my head!

I think I'd be doing a lot of chopping so I could freeze into smoothie-manageable chunks.
