  • But I love eggs.
  • First of all, you have a glorious user name. Secondly, I have never heard of these donuts, therefore they do not exist. Much like since I have never been to South America, I know it is merely a conspiracy of cartographers. Third, why are they called Top Pot? I find the palindromity (totally a word) of that somehow…
  • Anyone who thinks they're too cool for Ice Ice Baby is far too image conscious to actually be cool. Hmph.
  • I like to eat calorie-dense foods and sit on my butt. That's the root of it, but... I've always been chubby-- I've always preferred to sit and read instead of go outside to play. My dad used to drink nightly and when he'd go to the party store to buy his beer, he'd usually buy me a candy of some sort as well. I'd either go…
  • Ah, whatever. I have an ex who was 6' and maybe 130 lbs soaking wet (no ED), and he wore tight jeans all the time (and complained about how hard they were to find-- I think it was a 28" waist and a 34" inseam? Something crazy) and as far as I'm concerned, he was way hot, and his boy parts were in no way compromised. :P He…
  • So true! My ex never had an issue with my weight, but I did, and it (among other things) made me not want to be intimate, and he had a serious issue with THAT. As I lose weight and improve my health, yeah, I'll be honest, I sort of hope it makes him wonder 'what if?' ... But in the end it's moot, because he was unable or…
  • I think if you want to yell NOOOOOOO! when you see something you don't like in someone's food diary, you should go ahead and do it. Your family, pets or neighbors may think you're nuts, but it sounds like it might be dangerous for you to keep this bottled up.
  • You know, I read the title of your post and immediately, grumpily said NO! in my mind as I clicked on it. People are always thinking they're so unique for the stupidest things and boy, does it irritate me--especially when I'm already in a pretty grumpy mood anyway, as I am tonight. However! You may actually get a prize for…
  • First: *hugs* Please take care of yourself. Secondly, yes, it's important to get those calories in. Having it happen now and then isn't going to be a big deal, but already at three days and potentially ongoing... Your body will try to protect itself and slow down your metabolism. Eventually you're going to feel like eating…
  • This is pretty much me! Except I am not really an emotional person as far as like, life goes. (Well. Actually that is untrue, but a completely different topic). If it is shown on the big ol' TV box, it will probably make me cry (possibly in a book, but on screen is almost guaranteed)-- movies, shows, commercials.…
  • I think you are right and I wish you the best of luck, and hope you have a wonderful time! :flowerforyou:
  • I've been online since the late 80s... Prodigy, local BBSes, telnet/gopher and finally the web as we more or less know it now. I've never had a relationship with a guy I didn't meet online first. Couple drunken one night stands (had those with online guys too), but never a relationship. I don't have the foggiest idea how…
  • I do agree with this generally, depending on what the debt ratio is. For the house my ex and I 'owned,' when it resold eventually, it for was less than a third of what we paid for it. I'm not the brightest crayon in the box, but I'd rather have a foreclosure on my record for what, 7? 9? Heck, 29 years! rather than spend…
  • Yeah, he definitely needs to contact a lawyer to find out what his best course of action would be. What a mess. I think I mentioned it before but really, divorce sucks.
  • If I recall correctly, a quitclaim isn't going to do you any good. Basically all it does is give away your right to the 'good' part of the property-- ergo, if the other party decides to sell, you can't stop them. But, you're still on the mortgage, still on the hook for the debt. Could be wrong, but I kinda went through all…
  • I don't know if there's much that can be done. I didn't want the house when I got divorced, and I knew my ex was probably going to end up in foreclosure (I would have too). I tried to get off the mortgage, be held 'blameless' (I think the terminology was), but both of our attorneys said there was no way. One thing is for…
  • I had three. Or four? They came in a multipack anyway, and I had one a day. They weren't as good as I remembered, which was a bummer. I dunno what's going to happen come Halloween and I find out that I don't actually really care for candy corn. :(
  • I think it's ok to punch people in the face if they're too good looking. Or, rather, if they think they're too good looking to be treated like a mere human being. But it hurts to punch people so I don't.
  • Thank you for the link! I enjoyed reading it. I actually went to her site to see if I can figure this out. I'm guessing it has something to do with her struggles with IBS and discovery of FODMAPs foods. http://www.cassandraforsythe.com/blog/Low+FODMAP+diet+has+been+great+for+my+gut/
  • I have not, but that was my basic thought as well. I really like pizza a lot though. Or just bread with cheese works too.
  • Surgery is far from being an easy route, but yes, in the sense that you mean it, it would be the easy way out-- mostly because you won't really get 'out.' Your weight isn't your problem; it's just a symptom of your problem. I also suffer from depression and for me, the main thing I have to keep in mind--I have to repeat to…
  • I can't help, so I'm going to share a story. My friend took her dog to the vet and asked if he knew what kind of dog it was. The vet looked at the dog for a moment, and then he said, "Well, it's a brown dog." :) (Hope someone else can help-- I just want to say, "Well, it's a yellow bean.")
  • As long as you are moving in a positive direction, no, I don't think it matters how long it takes. Ain't none of us gonna get outta here alive. :flowerforyou:
  • Never used it--can't even say I'm sure I even knew it existed--but it certainly seems like something that would fall in the "If it seems too good to be true..." category. But thanks for taking the time to share. :flowerforyou:
  • I run slower than I walk, but it allows me to go longer.
  • Oh. Man. I had forgotten that I learned that. I can actually feel my brain cells curling up and dying.
  • I pretty much do the same as any other time of the month, although I find myself repeating 'This too shall pass' a lot. I think I tend to cut myself a little slack on junk food too, maybe not exercise quite as much. I tend to be really fatigued.
  • If you've suddenly increased your fiber--which it sounds like you have--it's absolutely normal for your digestive tract to be all out of whack. You may want to cut back a little on the fiber or, if you've been at it a while, just soldier on through... it will get better. :)
  • Yeah, kinda, pretty much exactly. Most people aren't so much brainwashed as they are basically uneducated. A little education without much perspective sends a person quickly into brainwashed turf, however.
