I don't know if I want to know why, but my mind keeps coming up with reasons on its own. Most of them involve vague considerations of horror movies and gore and grossness and oh my. Or he is the Egg Baron of your country. I eat 3ish a day, whole. Scrambled with coconut oil sauteed spinach and garlic. It is worth getting…

Yikes. There's some deeply rooted animosity in there somewhere.

lol. Hey OP, I get it!

I'm intimidated by particularly witty and intelligent people. So, a bunch of you in this thread who think you're not intimidating? You totally are. Some of you who think you are? ... Well, you probably are too.

Oh my gosh, you guys are so weird. I thought we were all humans around here! When were we invaded by the Planet of the Olive People? This is surreal! I also thought olives were a somewhat rare, maybe acquired taste. I guess this explains why they take up half an aisle in the grocery store and, if that weren't enough, have…

No. They are the devil's food. I worked at Pizza Hut when I was a teenager and the bin of black olives always looked like a bin of black beetles to me. Shiny and interesting, but not something to eat! edit: Incidentally, I was a cook, and orders with black olives were fairly rare. Probably the least used item on the line…

HEY WAIT! You aren't implying that chubby chasers only chase chubbies because they lack self confidence, are you? OTHERWISE CARRY ON BECAUSE THIS SITE SUCKS THE FAT RIGHT OFF MY THIGHS!

The thing that finally allowed to me to focus on taking care of myself was getting a medication for depression that worked for me. Prior to that, I often had good intentions, but they fell into a ugly, scary vat of "Why bother?" after a day, or maybe just a meal. I will give myself some credit here too: I finally took the…

I used it a while back (and was successful for the record--life went sideways on me though) and still have some food left. I was just thinking earlier today that I was going to pull out some of the things I thought were pretty good and use them now and then, haha :) They do fill the belly in a pinch. For me, the worst…

The glasses we have in our cupboards are often two or three times the glass (actually cup, 8 oz) they mean when they say to drink eight... Maybe that's it? :) I don't have an issue with it, but I've been doing it a long time. You do get used to it!

Spawn Oh, and of course: The Crow Oh oh! Additionally: Pump Up the Volume

I like green tea, therefore I drink it. As an aside, I think the "I drink it all the time and it doesn't do that for me!" comments are funny-- If you're doing something "all the time," how do you know it's not having a specified effect on you? You have no control sample to base it against. Maybe you would be hungrier or…

When I step on the scale and don't care for the number, or while I'm exercising as an inner chant: "This is about health. This is about fitness. This is not about weight."
-
Eggs, cottage cheese, tuna, yogurt, fruit. When I'm not eating healthfully, cheese. Hot dang I love cheese.

5'5 here and I set my goal weight to 125 because I don't think I've weighed that little since I was 11, but it's pretty much just an arbitrary number. I remember not being especially unhappy with my body at 170. I am trying to focus more on fitness than anything, so wherever that leads me will be ok.

I can't do without it completely or I am prone to suddenly overindulge, so I keep some treat stuff handy: hard lemon drops (70 calories for 4, I have 2 or 3 a day); 75%+ cocoa dark chocolate (it doesn't go down as easy as milk chocolate, but it's still chocolate... and has antioxidants!), and Dark Chocolate Cherry Cashew…

Absolutely amazing, and I don't use the word "amazing" lightly. Congratulations on a whole new lease on life! You look fantastic and I bet you feel even better!

Well, I'm sold.

Antlers for all!

The best thing I ever heard on this topic: Imagine a roll of paper towel. You can use half of it before you even notice that any of it is missing, right? But then down toward the end of the roll, you can almost count every sheet coming off. This is similar to what it's like losing fat from our hidden lean bodies. :)

Very interesting read! I think this is something I finally figured out for myself sort of recently, and having the long version (so to speak, giggle) laid out like this made it all ping so much the louder in my head. I have a very... "If a little is good, a lot is better!" kind of mindset in many facets of life. As I'm…

I want to lose it ALL by TOMORROW. >:(

I, too, got one from craigslist. It's a NordicTrack, but one that was only about $500 new. It tortures me just fine, but to be fair, I can only use it for a few minutes at a time. I would definitely look through your local used listings before buying a really pricy one new. If you do go for a new one, get it from a place…

That's cool and all, but but but... was there something wrong with it? I cannot imagine throwing away a perfectly good couch, lol.

Think of a roll of paper towel. You have to use about half of it before you even notice that any is missing, right? But then toward the end, every sheet you take off is pretty much noticeable. It's pretty much the same with getting the fat off our lean bodies. :)

I dunno, when I responded "Someone's settling," I took in everything I know about her (which isn't much)-- not just her chins, or that picture. I think the picture is cute, actually, I can totally picture the little dance she's doing, hehe. To be fair, though, I don't know which one of them it is who is settling.
-
I don't usually like to say mean things, but... Someone's settling.

I think I may have eaten one today too. Or it could have perhaps been an eyebrow hair. I tried to get it off the edge of my spoon a couple of times and then it disappeared. I don't know if it got pushed into the food or fell off and somehow didn't stick to my finger, but I was beyond caring anymore. It was possibly the…

Haha, they ARE so good it feels like it has to be bad, doesn't it? I work a Dark Chocolate Cherry Cashew one into just about every day. I think as far as a mid-afternoon snack goes, they are very good-- especially if you're a candy bar type person and they take away your need for that.

I don't know why he chose to act like that, but he put know in quotes because you don't KNOW-know that person, but you know them in the sense that you have now interacted with them somewhat. It's what quotes do! :) I quit smoking years ago because I simply couldn't afford it, never heard of this book. What does it contain?…
