Not only ok but good for you! Some folks practive calorie cycling (zig-zagging), where they don't eat the same calories each day. It's supposed to keep your body guessing and avoid plateus. Besides, it's a perfectly natural thing to eat differently on some days than others. Just try to stay within your cals for the week.…

You know, the ears have no calories. Just like lettuce and donut holes. Darn bunnies!

Yea, working at home is a bear. On the plus side, no one looks at you funny when you do step-ups on your break and you can fix lunches that don't travel well. Yesterday I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries, hold the bun; grand total 392 calories. Ask DF to put the cookies in an inaccessible area. Assuming he's the taller…

It's all entered by users, so if your pasta sauce is an apple that's the reason. More annoying is the inclusion of other ingredients, like cereal with milk rather than just the cereal. I have noticed, however, that some store brands use the same barcode for multiple chains. For example, my Giant brand yogurt shows up as…

Go ahead and snack. Eat something during your commute or immediately when you get home. If you try to hold off until dinner you will likely "taste" a lot while dinner is cooking and will be ravenous when you finally sit down to eat. I like to keep raw veggies in the fridge for these occasions.

Canned shrimp are tiny and are usually added to salads or mixed with mayo, like you would tuna. I do the same with crab but the quality can be hit-or-miss. Check the website for the brands you purchased. There will likely be a number of recipes.

The article is a good start. You didn't mention if you are working out. If you follow the recommendations they offer you should be fine. When working out and/or trying to lose weight the recommended amount of protein is 1gram per pound of lean body mass (LBM), which is everything in your body that is not fat. If you know…

I have one from Cacique that is great. Not cheap but if you catch a sale they're reasonable. Lots of ladies talk about doubling up but I've never found a pull over stretchy bra that fits (42 DD).

You need to eat at maintenance and try to workout in order to be healthy and set a good example for your son. Make your Mom time active whenever possible. Do speak with your doctor or other health professional. You're response to food isn't unusual but can lead to an eating disorder.

Intention to succeed is 90% of the challenge. You started out great and you can finish great. Don't beat yourself up over the chocolates; it's just a small part of your day. You can still meet your macros with a little adjusting.

Those charts are nonsense. Our US state sends reports of our child's BMI via mail. Some of the kids compare numbers and it can be quite an issue. Somewhere on these boards I saw a picture of two men, standing side by side. Both 6' 200lb, one incredibly cut and one rolly-polly. Quite an eye-opener.

Go to the "My Home" tab. Select Goals --> Change Goals --> Custom. You still need to set the goals with percentages so you will need to do some math.

<This stupid T-shirt. Doesn't fit. We have tickets for a game at Fenway in July and I want to wear it. With really cute capris. When the shirt came in the mail and I tried it on I decided that I could either return the shirt or change me. I chose me. This shirt is hanging in my office (at home) as a constant reminder.

It's partly a social thing - all women are dieting and all men are working out. But it is also a lack of understanding about what their caloric needs are and what they are eating. Someone who always orders a salad but doesn't note the high fat calories in the dressing, croutons, etc. is fooling themselves. As is the person…

It's perfectly normal to lose faster at the beginning, especially if you have a good bit to lose. Do eat all of your calories, including those from exercise. It's really important to give your body adequate protein and other nutrients to recover from your workouts and maintain your health. And don't be discouraged when the…

Mushroom soup at Longwood Gardens, Kennet Square PA - Mushroom Capital of the World. Followed very closely by the leg of lamb at the same meal. It was so good I didn't want to swallow it. Best of all, both of these dishes fit my macros!

Salsa on anything. With celery, lettuce, cucumbers, over plain greek yogurt, on a spoon.....

I'm sure you're getting nearly all, but if you are really worried weigh the container when you're done then weigh a completely wiped out container. That will tell you how much you're leaving behind. I actually leave a little clinging to the container because my cat will claw me to death if she doesn't get her portion. I…

Apparently the author of this list has never seen a manatee. They get huge eating nothing but romaine lettuce. Or an elephant, giraffe, etc. This is the same theory that WW uses, mostly to encourage people to eat good foods rather than junk that has the same "points".

All good points, and bear in mind that you don't have to wait until you've reached your goal to see improvements. After 10 pounds your pants will be loose, a few more and your waist will be more defined. By summer you'll probably be in a different size. In the fall you'll need to send your slacks to a tailor to be taken…

Unless it says "as prepared" the serving weight and nutrition facts are for the "as packaged" product. The only exceptions would be those products where the preparation would not affect the nutritional values (i.e. rice as prepared with water).

The Swedish Meatballs were amazing. Changed a guilty pleasure into a low cal choice. We're foodies, so dinner often feels like an episode of "Chopped". If a recipe isn't great it won't be made again.

These days only last a short time. Enjoy! If it really worries you do some baby lifts to work off the 25 or so calories.

Smooth and herbacious. But it's like trying to describe the color "blue". You really just need to try one.

Good for you! It's so easy to eat mindlessly during long exams. When I sat for my CPA I ate two gallons of snack mix, with chocolate, in three days. And all that stuff was going to waste if you ate what you didn't need. Good luck on the exam. Take a walk during the break if you can. It will clear your mind and unkink your…

Don't change a thing. You're totally hot just the way you are.

Don't worry - any calories consumed were offset by the spitting and funny faces you made afterwards.

Don't believe everything you read. I remember the thread you mentioned and it created quite a storm. Sometimes people just start a thread to get a reaction. When you exercise your metabolism stays high for a good period afterwards, so it's more than just the immediate calorie usage. You also feel good, your muscles firm up…

No one said how big the pie needs to be. I could eat about a dozen little strawberry tarts. I'm going to a taping of "The Chew" on Thursday. I'm hoping it's a pie episode!

Cold turkey can be painful, because you're used to all that caffeine. I wouldn't go with No-Doz or other pills, as they will just become another bad habit you need to break. Try cutting back by half to start. You can either alternate or pour half decaf and half regular. Once your body adjusts cut back again, or go cold…
