They are probably wrong. HRM's might not be completely accurate either. I say if you are maintaining what you think is a deficit and not losing weight, you may be under estimating your food or overestimating your burn. Adjust and see what happens. I have having the same issue. tolose 20 lbs it will take over a year? and thats with a TDEE-20 non work out days and TDEE on workout days working out 5 days a week. 11 months to lose 20 lbs?

I use my nephew all the time to exercise. at 35 lbs he makes for great at home weights!

If you eat close to your BMR - feel free to eat back some of your exercise calories.. my BMR is around 1300 - my TDEE -20% is 1360 but I eat around 1700-1800 calories a day - I burn 400-600 working out as well. I have a polar ft4 and my sweat doesnt kill mine. I wet it before putting it on as well. I have heard of other swimming with it without a problem, I am just not a swimmer. It doesnt tie into the sytem though, as far as I know. I just log my calories manually.

Yes, I have always have a hard time going to the gym. I have been going 3 days a week for 5 weeks now and I have only ventured to the weight machines once. I am glad I am far too broke for starbucks or vending machines, but I do tend to snack a lot. Healthier snacks make it better, but I eat much more during the week than the weekends with a LOT less activity. If anyone can find me a "non-desk job" I will be on it!

They have small scales that weight in oz, and grams, and such that are used in the kitchen for food, it helps with portion control and determining your calories with more accuracy.
